My partner and I chose Little Dipper for a special Valentine dinner. The first negative was a trip to the women’s rest room at 5:30 arrival. There were no towels after washing hands...should have been prepared for dinner arrivals. We discovered there was a set menu even though this was the night before Valentine’s Day. This was a disappointment. The traditional cheese fondue was good, but other than bread the dipping choices were very limited. We both enjoyed the spinach soup of the night. The main entree was disappointing. There were just a few bites of the meat choices. For the price of $125, the amount of meat was a disappointment. The dessert fondue was a disappointment because the chocolate did not melt and get warm. We waited a long time for a server to come near our table to alert them to the problems with the chocolate. We never had a server check on our water glasses. We had to flag someone down to get the water refilled.
We drove a distance for a special meal and were very disappointed.

We had an amazing experience. Loved the food, our young server was awesome, and the manager was very personable and kind. We really enjoyed our evening there and will definitely be back. Thank you for the birthday cheesecake!! :)

As always, a great experience! But to be honest, I was quite a bit disappointed that we had a special night planned - made reservations WEEKS in advance so that our timeline was all lined up and the restaurant was running significantly behind in seating us. Over 30 minutes after our reservation we still hadn't been sat. Would definitely recommend for the experience, the wait staff and the food - just don't have any other plans afterward!

I made a reservation at the Little Dipper for my husband's birthday. We were going to have dinner and then had a show to see an hour and a half after our reservation. I told the hostess about this deadline when we arrived and it did not seem that it would be a problem. Our waiter did not come to our table for about 15 minutes after we were seated and so we asked to order right away when he finally did. 40 minutes later he still had not returned with our FIRST COURSE and we had not even had a chance to order the rest of our meal yet. As rude as we felt doing this, we finally decided we had to leave to avoid being late to our show. The hostess apologized and said that we would receive a call to help alleviate the situation the next day but that never happened. Ultimately, we did not even have time to eat dinner at all that night because of all the time we wasted sitting around. We are very disappointed.

The food was great, but it took a bit longer than normal. We will be back again, but will likely ask for an alternative server.

We unknowingly showed up for Wednesday Ladies Night, which gave us a nice deal on cheese and chocolate fondues for two. We added some"from the grill" protein and had a genuinely enjoyable meal. It was even nice to get a small, high-walled booth to allow private conversation. I'd definitely do fondue here again.

My family in Ohio has a tradition of fondue on Christmas Eve. Since we celebrated the Holidays at my home in NC and I don't have all the fondue supplies we decided to try Little Dipper. I'm so happy we did! The service was Excellent! Our waiter walked us through the process, made great suggestions and we left feeling full and happy!

The restaurant is very nice and the service is good but that is about it as far as I can say for positives...the value for the money is not very good at all, very little meat even though its quite pricey... the dessert, which I was really looking forward to is not as good as I have had at other places..the chocolate did not taste like real good chocolate...overall very disappointing.

This was my second time here and the food did not disappoint! Went with a friend for her birthday and we did Ladies Night, which was a really good deal. We left feeling very full and quite satisfied. Our only complaint was the service - they were extremely slow. The place was pretty busy, but we are guessing most of the food is pre-cut and not made to order like other places, so weren't sure what was taking so long. Enjoyed it overall though and would recommend!

I've been here a few times, and it's always been great. The service has always been fantastic, and the food good. I wish they'd give you a few more pieces of meat, and I feel that the dessert course is overpriced (though you really can't/shouldn't skip dessert here). But those are my only complaints. We'll be back again!

Always worth the drive to Little Dipper. We just did cheese & chocolate this time, but have done entrees before and the Sunday Brunch is awesome. They also support local food suppliers and have a something new every time.

Had a great experience at Little Dipper. Price was below that of the Melting Pot. Server was very attentive. Extensive selection of dipping sauces to complement the entrees.

We had a wonderful experience. The food was amazing. We started with a light lager cheddar and had a white wine broth which was fantastic. We finished the meal with berry cheesecake and was not disappointed there either. What a great evening all around.

We went here for ladies night and had horrible service! We only saw our waiter 4 times, our cheese was barely mild and our chocolate was room temp. When they brought chocolate, there was no water in pot so it surprising it wasn’t warm. The waiter also brought checks when he brought chocolate which I thought was extremely rude given we were not finished and might have wanted more.

We stopped in for an early dinner before a show at DPAC, and were thrilled to find out that on Tuesdays, you can get Cheese and Chocolate fondue for $10/person. The Fontina Fondue was delicious, as well as the La Farm bread that went along with it. Our server, Christian, was personable without being overbearing. The fluffernutter chocolate fondue was amazing, although there may have been a bit too much of it. All in all, this may become our regular DPAC pre-show spot!

We had an awesome time! We were seated at a cozy booth that was pretty private and perfect for our date night. The fontina cheese was awesome and I definitely recommend the peanut oil cooking style. Our waiter Kevin was awesome! He kept us entertained and had a great personality. Definitely recommend it for a date night or even a group! Not just dinner, but an experience.

For a party of 6, I wish we had been able to pick at least two cheeses. Also, the service was kind of slow, with our waiter disappearing for like 30 minutes on end. That being said, my friends and I all really enjoyed our time there, and will definitely recommend/come back again!

The service, as almost always, was great, and the food was decadent. However, there was a large group of 11 year olds squealing and singing at a birthday party with little adult supervision. Ruined the romantic vibe and is not an appropriate location for a child's birthday party. I don't know how a restaurant deals with that- you want to provide excellent service to everyone but without letting some ruin the night of other guests.

We celebrated my grandson's 6th birthday and it was our first experience at at The Little Dipper. John was our waiter and was, without a doubt, what made our experience first class. The menu is challenging but he made it uncomplicated and a lot of fun. If you can sit in his section, do it!! The food was great but the dark chocolate was the bomb!! Thanks John!
