The Lion's Share
Last, but not least, they offer hand-crafted cocktails considered amongst the best in the city in an eclectic atmosphere with a friendly staff.
Service was good, food tasty and nice selection of cocktails
The pork belly was addictive
The fries were rich and indulgent
The burger and beer special was a great value and very tasty
Great food and excellent service. Great drink list with reasonable prices.
Great and fast service! The cocktails were AMAZING and quickly turned around. We were so impressed by the quality of food as well as the variety of options. I would definitely come back for the rabbit hand pie alone.
Small but very interesting place - Amazing food and reasonably priced.
Fun hip place. Reserved a table and they sat us right away. Food was delicious. Loved the truffle fries. Great service despite how busy it was. Definitely looking forward to going back
Food and drinks all very good. They especially produce high-end cocktails. Wine list is so- so. Menu items rich in game meats but they have something for everyone with select fish and pasta dishes. The interiors are fun and unique. Enjoy
The drinks and food were amazing! I enjoyed the green chili appetizer and the chicken entree. The beet risotto was a nice play on the game theme of the menu. The service was fantastic and guided me towards drinks and food I really enjoyed. Will definitely be back my next trip to San Diego!
You just need to go. Very cool atmosphere with extremely good food. Amazingly the prices are very reasonable. Although we did not have any it had a huge drink menu as well.
Wonderful. Ford delicious and inventive. Ordered the small plates- deviled eggs, rabbit pie, tartar.... Wish they were in my home town!!
Hello. We had dinner at the Lions Share to celebrate a birthday. Normally a free dessert would have been offered however she asked if we would prefer another cocktail on the house in lieu of dessert because she knew we were going to a concert. That was a really nice touch. The food was outstanding and service impeccable. One small suggestion, the music in the main dining area was very loud and we felt like we had to yell at each other. Overall a very good experience and would certainly come back.
LOVED the food - it was unusual but delicious. The cocktails were also delicious. There were so many though that we needed more time to look through the menu before ordering. Very reasonably priced.
Great atmosphere and unique food.
I always, always enjoy this place - my husband and I had the sausage board and cocktails and everything was incredible!
Exotic meats, curated menu, great cocktails. Chef Johnny is a must-see for any foodie's visit to San Diego!
Fabulous everything. Food, service, location,…
A birthday celebration. Small plates offered a varied selection of delicious food.
Great food and service! Only complaint was the noise level made it somewhat hard to hold a conversation without raising your voice.
Great staff! I liked the vibe of the room, but it’s very dark. If you happen to be dining alone traveling on business and want to read while you eat, this might not be your best spot. Good food, great beers on tap, and it looked like the guy next to me was enjoying the cocktail program.
Interesting food choices and nice craft cocktails.
The food and drinks were fantastic - fun ambiance, however as it got later in the night some very loud guys entered (and I'm only talking maybe 4 people) but it became almost impossible to hear my friend talking to me. Bad acoustics. Still, I'd definitely go back - it was a cool place!
Visited to celebrate my birthday with my BF. Best choice by far. Food was delicious, drinks were incredible.... dessert was surprisingly amazing..... We’ll be coming back for our Anniversary.
The food is a bit expensive but that is to be expected since it’s fairly exotic. The camel tacos were my favorite part of the night. The tables are fairly close together so it’s also loud and the place was packed even on a Monday night! I can see why, it was the best restaurant we went to in San Diego
We had a great time! The decor was interesting and fun. The menu was great, I wish i could’ve tried more things. What we did have was really delicious. Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend
A quirky, clubby place with a high noise level. The food is wonderful and the service impeccable. I would recommend adding a few items to the menu which don't include meat. Would recommend.
Super unique. Amazing drinks. Loved the truffle fries.
We only had appetizers and cocktails but it was perfect - great good and atmosphere and friendly knowledgable staff!
This was an awesome place for a fourth date! We ate delicious food and enjoyed a few drinks on the side. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a hipster vibe, chill and comfortable restaurant!
If you are an adventurous eater, this is the place for you. The camel tacos and the wild game sausage board were two of the best things I've ever eaten. Expected it to be loud and very dimly lit.
I and my friend have been regulars at Lion's Share. This time, in addition to apps and drinks, we each ordered Elk Loin which I usually have. Problem 1: my steak was so full of fat and gristle, I could only manage a quarter of it. Problem 2: I complained to our waitress who said "I'm sorry". The tab came and there was no deduction or offer of dessert so I told the waitress that I was going to short her on the tip due to the inferior steak (I always tip at least 20%). Problem 3: Her response was "Whatever". So we left and shall not return.
Not willing to accommodate at all
Wonderful food and creative cocktails!
Loved everything we ate, our server was nice
And helpful, and it had a great vibe! Looking forward to going back and trying some other things!
"Game" is right ... fixed in spectacular ways... Deviled Eggs ... Camel tacos... and a Serious George Rum chaser to wash it down made my meal amazing ... bonus extra credit for fixing two VEGAN (yes... vegan) dishes from their menu for my dining companion ... if you love to try stuff ... this great place needs to be on your list ...
Very unique menu for both drinks and food. The place is very loud, so while it’s set up to be very intimate, the noise makes it hard to talk, even across a small table.
The Lion's share is one of the best restaurant's I have ever been to. The food is beyond belief and the ambiance is none to be compared. Definitely recommend this fine establishment for a magnificent dining experience.
Great drinks! Bartenders were professional and yet super friendly. Love the overall ambience of the restaurant/bar
Came to visit my friend for the weekend. We liked to try different bars such as speakeasies and similar ambiance vibe like the Lion’s Share. Great place to catch up with friends or bring your date :)
Was absolutely fantastic. So much better than we expected. Drinks were wonderful (including the virgin drinks for kids). Food was really special. This is a must do in San Diego.
