The Lion's Share
Last, but not least, they offer hand-crafted cocktails considered amongst the best in the city in an eclectic atmosphere with a friendly staff.
Amazing cocktail list! The rabbit hand pie was very yummy. We also enjoyed the sausage board. The bread pudding was excellent and large enough to share. Looking forward to going back on our next visit.
Amazing food, cocktails, service and atmosphere! David was great! Will definitely be back!
Great Happy Hour menu and options. Perfect place to grab drinks before a show.
It was so loud in the restaurant that our waiter couldn’t even hear our order clearly. That caused him to miss one of the appetizers we requested so that didn’t come until after our entrées were served. My voice is horse today for having to yell for my date to hear me! Food was good but not exceptional. Cocktails were top notch though!
Bit too noisy place, but the food was excellent and tasty!
It was amazing as always! Such great cocktails and food!
Great place. Food was outstanding and service was great!
Lion’s Share is unique in the decor as well as the food and drink menu. I have been visiting regularly for the past three years, and have never had a bad meal or experience. They also change the menu on a regular basis to keep the experience fresh. I recommend to all my friends, family and business associates that no matter the occasion LS is a great fit.
Excellent inventive cocktails with unique and housemade ingredients. All food selections were well prepared and offered an opportunity to try exotic game meats. An additional non-meat (vegetarian or seafood) dish would have been appreciated. We would definitely return if we lived here.
Food was incredible.
Love this place. We try to go almost every time we're in San Diego
The hostess were sweethearts. We never got a chance to eat there because our female server was so rude right from the get go bc we asked for a drink right away since we had a long day.We finally got only my first drink. We had to flag her down after another 15 min for my fiance's first drink. We waited about 20 min for the 2nd drink and never got it. We were starving and hungry so I put a 20 dollar bill on the table for the 1st and only drink we ever got and walked out. I do not go to restaurants after a long week at work to catch attitude from a waitress. I come to have a nice fun experience. This is the first bad review I've given any place. I highly suggest they train the servers to not ruin the customer experience. Would never step in that place again
Such a cool concept! Service was great, cocktails are on point and my chicken just fell off the bone.
Amazing food and atmosphere. Pricey than most but you dont get this kind of food for cheap. Unique and fun atmosphere.
Great cocktails and delicious food!
Great eclectic menu
Fantastic experience for the whole party. The service was perfect. The food was wonderful!
Our food was good- we got an appetizer and two share plates. We really enjoyed the shoshito peppers, and it was a large portion. And the camel tacos were delicious as well! They had mocktails which was appreciated as a pregnant woman! My husband enjoyed his cocktail too. It was extremely loud and hard to hear each other or have a conversation. I would recommend it more for a bar setting than for a date night (if you want to speak to one another without shouting).
Lion's Share is always one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Our server on Wednesday was Maria, and she was exceptional! Thanks for another great meal!
Great food, even better ambiance! Elk loin was delicious.
I enjoyed the ambiance, it's dark with neat animal art. We tried the camel tacos, antelope sliders, elk and boar bolognese. Everything was very good.
Eclectic, funky and fun! Quirky, but really chill atmosphere, interesting, tasty food, What's to not like?
Lion's Share is an intimate, dark restaurant located near the harbor, close to the large waterfront hotels. Rather than do full plates, my husband and I decided to try a few small plates We had a roasted corn and poblano bisque, tuna tartare with beignets, antelope sliders and bison carpaccio with arugula, rye crumbs and parmesan. Everything was FANTASTIC. I had a delicious bourbon and aperol cocktail to start, then a gorgeous glass of a red blend. Service was great as well. Highly recommend!
I appreciated our polite waiter Josh. He was so kind and even made sure to make my boyfriends day special as it was his birthday. We got a free mouse. I didn't even have to remind them. I love the lions share.
Great food with great service.
I always have a great experience at this place. The food is always tasty and the cocktails (although expensive) are delicious. Oddly their burger is one of the best burgers in San Diego but I suggest trying the entire menu.
Son going back to college for the Fall.
Fantastic happy hour drinks and appetizers. Perfect burgers. Favorites are the arugula salad, tuna tartare, smoked pork belly, and deviled eggs.
It was my husbands birthday and they surprised us with a free dessert of mousse with a candle. It was amazing! Food was so good
Yes, this place was lovely. The food was delicious and the service was great. If you are feeling a bit daring, this place is the right place.
Definitely a place I hit every time I'm in San Diego.
This place is unique. Good grub and friendly people. Happy hour is a good deal. Make reservations because this place is always poppin!
Great shareable small plates, less typical proteins (antelope, elk, boar, bison), and imaginative and expertly crafted cocktails- what’s not to like? Highly recommended.
Favorite place in the Gaslamp!
Our waitress was wonderful, had excellent recommendations! Fun place, & our out of towners loved it!
Wanted to get an extra seat for a latecomer to our party. The table clearly had room. Answer was no ...and I did talk to the manager that night. So we left, we were starving after a long day but I thought it was ridiculous -i used to like going there but I just can’t anymore
This place is just steps from Harbor Dr and it is phenomenal. From the craft cocktails to the sausage board to the elk loin. You will not be disappointed. We make this a part of our visit each year.
The bar height seating was painful after 15 min. Our party was wishing for other seats , or a cushion and back rest .
Our server was amazing ! She was serving the entire resturant, and doing a great job .... food was perfect !
The Lion's Share has a very interesting and well executed food options. The drink servers are very knowledgeable as well. Go when you are hungry and plan to share.
