The service was not good - we had to ask three different times to get refills on our drinks. The food was very good... truffle fries were amazing for a shared starter. We all had burgers that were delicious - only complaint is that the sweet potato fries were undercooked. Chips and salad were very good. Would go back for sure!
It was a great meal with fabulous service. Don’t skip the pork rinds but every dish is a pleaser. An amazing beer list plus a derp wine offering complete the meal. The budino is a fantastic finish for dessert, too.
Surprised Birthday Dinner
Went for brunch with friends. Not too busy from what it looked like. The waitress was very nice but got a couple things on our checks wrong. No big deal, would go there again!
The Korean wings were amazing. Our waitress was really good as she had a whole section including two large parties but never neglected our table.
I also had the pimento cheese beef that came with loaded potatoes that were to die for. I will definitely be back.

The lamb burger was delicious. The beverages, food, and check were brought out to us quickly.
This past Saturday at 1:30 PM The Liberty was hopping. Had to wait for table to clear. Food was excellent: French Dip burger done perfectly, but 2 small hiccups, au jus tasted canned, side salad was very small (much smaller than the Blakeney location), my wife's fish sandwich was a hit. Best of all were the cocktails made with a local moonshine equivalent with ginger. Ginger was present in first drink, but not in the second one. Still tasted great.
One of the better food bargains on Charlotte. Tasty choices nicely prepared and efficient friendly waitstaff.

We were greeted pleasantly by the host but felt extremely hurried thru our dinner by the server. One of our three meals arrived room temperature. We've been here before and had a better experience. Maybe tonight was just an off night. With so many other choices in the area I can't say we'll be back anytime soon.
Our waitress was absolutely great. Our only issue was that our main course came out before we were totally finished with our appetizer. This is a pet peeve of mine. I feel that many restaurants are having issues with spacing meals out correctly.
Besides that, our food was absolutely delicious. We both had salmon for the main course which was the best I've had in a long time (and I eat salmon a couple of times per week). Our appetizers were mussels and a salad with fried oysters. Both were excellent. And the dessert I had was flourless chocolate cake. It tasted extremely good but was slightly dry. We will definitely be back to The Liberty!
Service was slow and inconsistent. Tables that arrived after ours got their drinks first from the same server. Mine took over 25 mins to arrive and it was only an IPA from a tap. It was Queen's Feast Restaurant week so busy but still. The food was OK but not compelling possibly due to the 3 for $30 menu and higher volume. For example the salad dressing on my first course was very tasty but the rest the salad was off from the prosciuto to the veggies. Comments were similar from the couple with us. There were good tastes but for example the grits were watery. This theme continued through all the courses.
Huge problem checking in. The hostess told me we did not have a reservation. I showed her my Open Table confirmation and she told me that their system sometimes did not sync with Open Table and if I used the app I should always call to confirm!!! Then she said that we were “lucky” that she had a table and could seat us. This is a big problem for anyone that uses OT, plus her attitude put the blame on me rather than their system! After that, the food was good and our server was great.
The restaurant was relatively empty, yet we couldn’t get a reservation until 8:45. The first course was good, the chicken wings were excellent. The main courses left lots to be desired. Portions were small and very, very salty (all four people had different entrees and we all had the same complaints). Each person at our table had a different dessert, 2 of the four were still frozen (cheesecake), the flourless cake was so hard and dry it wasn’t eaten, and the pecan pie was very good- by far the best of the four.
Although it was restaurant week I felt the portion on the entree was weak. The Bacon wrapped scallops with creamy grits was served with only two scallops and the grits were dry and clumpy. The calamari fries were cold And the cheesecake was served still frozen. The idea behind restaurant week is for people to be turned on to a new place they may not go to and by word of mouth drum up business for the place. Also maybe can't afford some places. The liberty should be embarrassed to serve two scallops for an entree. They would get money back ten fold by not scimping on food because it may be a bit cheaper for the week. I will never return.
