Friends got together for brunch on Presidents’ Day. It was delicious, the wait staff was considerate and we plan to return very soon.
Liberty Tavern was great for dinner with a couple old friends. The entree portions (we got the roast chicken and lamb shank) were generous but not overwhelming, and the carmelized onion, cremini mushroom, and brussel sprouts pizza was creative and delicious. Aside from the great food, the restaurant upstairs was a little bit loud due to the noise from the bar downstairs, but not awful. And the service was fantastic - attentive but not distracting or overbearing!
We were greeted & seated right away, our server was friendly & there if we needed him but never intrusive, and the brunch buffet was a wonderful mix of breakfast & lunch comfort foods. Loved the French toast, sage breakfast sausages, the mulled cider, and fried chicken the best—but I enjoyed everything I tried. I would definitely go back!
Buffet's aren't my go-to, but this brunch buffet was worth it. Fresh food, tasty drinks, and attentive staff. Inexpensive as well. Note: not bottomless mimosa!
I’ve been to the Liberty Tavern for brunch and had a very tasty and enjoyable experience. The price was reasonable the food was delicious and a lot of variety and the service was great! I decided to try the tavern for a lunch date with my husband on Valentine’s Day. We both ordered salads. His steak salad and mine chicken chopped salad. We were totally UNDERwhelmed. The chicken in mine was flavorless and the entire presentation lacked . The salad just not that amazing. My husbands’s steak salad was also not that good. He did say the steak itself was tasty but the rest just so so. Like the first brunch visit, our server at lunch was perfect. She was pleasant, efficient and very helpful. So my recommendation is if you’re not at Brunch.......don’t order the salads!
I just tried the chopped chicken salad, which I had not had before. It was exceptionally good, complex and flavorful. A step above the usual chopped salad!
The meal was tasty and the kids menu very impressive. Service was quite good. Main downside was that the lighting was so dark that we had to use phones to read the menu.
Top notch brunch buffet with house made sausage, bacon and smoked salmon. All your favorites from fried chicken, French toast, grits, pastries, salads and soups. All homemade and legitimately better than most of your other local eateries.
Don’t sleep on liberty tavern if you’re looking for a brunch spot that seems to always stay consistent. Make every effort to get your reservations.. as I’m not the only one who feels this way. Lots of locals every weekend flock to this place. And lastly, get in early for easier access to the buffet with an abundance of fresher ingredients.
Came for the Sunday brunch and was pleasantly surprised at the unique options available on the buffet. Everything was very fresh and empty food items were quickly replenished.
