Super tasty appetizer platter and friendly wait staff. They kept our water full which was appreciated.
We loved it. Food was perfect. The service was amazing. Like damn, best ever! I didn't know who was more attentive our server or the owner.
When requesting outdoor seating we were originally seated at a very uncomfortable high top while carrying bags. We asked to be relocated but you may need to specify on your reservation to have the couch seating.
Hi Sandi, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience. We are only allotted a certain amount of seating options through Opentable. The couches are limited and for larger parties. We try to honor all requests, but can not guarantee them as is stated in our policies. We are all working our best through this trying time and do hope that your seating did not take away from your dining itself. Thank you again,
The main entrees were horrible. Would not suggest this place.
Easy check in with a very welcoming staff. We had a more private seating in the basement area where our server was absolutely amazing. She was extremely attentive and very sweet. It was my boyfriends first time in New York and this dinner made his birthday.
Because of building remodeling it does not look good, but once inside food and drinks are great and so is the service.
We absolutely love the Liberty! The staff are all amazing! Thanks for making a great night even greater!
Food was just ok, server didn’t acknowledge our table for ten minutes after being seated, and a rowdy table of 8 was seated right behind us when there was several other open tables throughout the restaurant.
Wonderful experience at The Liberty! Drinks, food, staff and vibe were amazing. Will absolutely go back.
While I’ve been in town my buddy has not been since the beginning of the pandemic.
Going to Liberty was an excellent idea to gently welcome him back to real life
The setting is great. Nicely done. It was chilly And it was suggested that the heat be turned on w/o us asking.
Food? Really good wings. Sauce is served in the side. Get the sweet chili.
My salmon was cooked perfectly. My buddy had fish & chips. I loved his chips.
Overall fantastic experience. Oh. Try the on tap rose. A tad sweet but went nicely with food.
We always have a great time! Thanks Russ, Alex and Alyssa. "The Todd's"
The liberty provides a serviceable dining experience. I wouldn’t recommend it for an intimate dinner date but rather a place to grab a quick bite or few drinks. I had the New York strip and my partner had a chicken sandwich neither were exceptional but not bad either. We started with friend Mac and cheese balls which neither of us enjoyed. Also our table was very small. Too small
On the brighter side the staff is friendly and attentive also the drinks were tasty
The food was really good, but I had to keep going to find the server. When you're doing bottomless brunch you shouldn't have to seek out your server to get your mimosa, as you're on a timer. Instead of leaving a carafe where the 2 of us could serve ourselves we had to keep looking for the server for drinks. Also, on a table for 2 they added in gratuity which is not listed anywhere and is not a common practice. That's not cool.
Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience. We are sorry we did not live up to your expectations. Did you make any staff or manager aware of your lack of service? We would have immediately remedied any and all issues. Sadly, it actually is stated on the brunch menu that any table that participates in bottomless will be charged auto gratuity. Im sorry if that was missed. Again we do apologize and appreciate the feedback.
Waitress needed help handling outdoor seating
Went here for brunch with my wife, and had a great time. Food and drinks were great! Great outdoor seating!
We went for GoGoGadget & JackBarrow burlesque. It was amazing! Worth the trip just for their happy vibes and gorgeous energy. Food was sub par. Drinks and service were awesome! Delicious and worth every penny. Our server Alex and .... I think his name was Russ- mgr. downstairs( Sorry! If I was wrong. I did say that the drinks were good, lol. ) were so hospitable. Will be back again and again.
I went for a fantastic Freaky Follies show and a great dinner on Friday night and The Liberty delivered on both counts (after a late start to the show). I made the mistake of arriving too early since they opened the Burlesque room in the basement for seating at 7p but the show started closer to 9p.
This afforded me the chance to be pampered by the bar, restaurant, & wait staff which included a sumptuous platter of Fish 'n' Chips and the Liberty's own fine brew to drink. If not for the laughing hyena that settled in at the next table it would have been a perfect pre-show dinner (maybe a sound-proof plexi-glass separation).
The show itself went way beyond expectations thanks to the double-emcee'd "Freaky Follies." Jack Barrow & his partner Go-Go danced and sang (yes, Go-Go has a warm baritone voice) and entertained while engaging the audience with the 'Rules of Burlesque viewing'. Consent was a key to keep any "strip-show-audience" bad behaviors from occurring, and their funny speech work as none of the dancers were inappropriately touched.
The show itself (once it started) was 3-acts of highly entertaining Burlesque, audience-participation gaming, and even an interview with guest star Rosie Cheeks. I'm a fan of both Burlesque and RC so the mid-show chat with her was an added treat.
The music the dancers chose was right on target from a George Michael ballad to good old "Rock and Roll." The costumes were more elaborate from a de-frocked priest to Fosse's CABARET w/ Miss Sally Bowles 'himself' (Liza would've loved it).
Although the floor show takes place on actual floor, don't underestimate the willingness of the "masked" dancers to get interactive with the audience. A show not to be missed if you are happy the Burlesque circuit is coming back like me. And if Rosie Cheeks is on the bill, then it's a MUST-SEE. Her musical choice from group Devil Doll so perfectly set up the evening.
Thanks Liberty staff for making me welcome. And thank you FREAKY FOLLIES!!
Quick service and great atmosphere outside. In and out in 45 minutes with food before a karaoke reservation down the street.
Nice terrace, food is good.
The waitress spilled the mimosa on my friend... and was not really apologetic... I know it can happen to everybody to spill something but at least it could have been free...
Went for bottomless brunch with my friends. Food and service were amazing!
It was absolutely amazing. Personally, I'm not too fond of mac and cheese, but their mac and cheese bites are divine. I had the sliders, and they were a good portion. The skillet chocolate chip cookie is a must
Garment District gem. I was pleasantly surprised. Exceptional, simple menu. Perfect for a business dinner or hanging with friends - inside or outside.
Arrived early for our Mother’s Day brunch. Most tables are small high tops with stools. Very uncomfortable and cramped, especially for 6 people. They would not move us to a proper table even though my 87-year-old mother was with us. Best they would do was give her a bar stool with a back. Food was expensive and mediocre. I did have a reservation but no where on the site did it indicate the type of tables they would provide.
Excellent drinks (very strong) and service! Had a great time. The food was delicious.
It was mother's day so reservations were full, but I requested a table, not a tabletop because I had young children. I was told they were all booked although at the time of my seating there were half a dozen open and by the time we left one table never got occupied.
So it turns out they could have set us or even often to move us if a party did not show. Kids were a little uncomfortable but we made due.
I guess don't bring your kids
Was a great mothers day boozy brunch. Sat outside fun for all.
So fun, great service, can’t wait to try drag dinner!!!
Good brunch menu, a lot of food per meal. Eggs benedict was great.
Always a great time! Thanks - "The Todd's "
Good comfortable place for a catch up. Service was excellent and food hit the mark
My Mom and I liked it here a lot. First time trying this restaurant in midtown. Also had a very nice waiter . Food and drinks were great !!
We had the option of sitting outside or inside. and while it was beautiful out, it was far too noisy(mostly the other guests), the seating looked great though. the food was pretty regular, decently sized portions but nothing worth noting. the drinks were nice and since we were there for bottomless drinks, the waiter did not hesitate when it came to ordering more pitchers for the table. even when we had two that were not completely finished, if we asked he delivered.
I love how careful the establishment was with keeping everybody social distanced. The food was really good, and having a 1 1/2 for bottomless mimosas was perfect! Recommend this spot for any brunch lovers!
Soooo good. Excellent service, got our money’s worth of bottomless brunch. Will return!
Went to a Friday night burlesque show with friends. Had a great time. I’d recommend the show. Drinks were decent.
We had a pre-wedding happy hour at Liberty NYC this weekend for 20 people and requested outdoor tables. It is such a pretty outdoor dining space and we had drinks and lots of appetizers. The guests enjoyed the food and the ambiance and the wait staff was super friendly and patient.
Not impressed....shaken down for CC when we ordered....
decent Sangria but no service....got check and busted to warmer pastures.
Hi There, I am sorry to hear of your experience. Anyone seated outside is asked for a credit card to hold, same idea as bartenders when they ask for cards to start a tab, so you were not the only ones. I do wish you brought these concerns to management during your visit to have remedied said issues. Thank you again for the time.
We sat in the back of the restaurant where the noise level was almost quiet. The service and food were wonderful! We will be returning for the shows.
The food was great, the server was very nice and attentive will definitely visit again.
