Great tapas menu. Lots of great things to share. Malfatis (spinach and ricotta dumplings in a brown butter and sage sauce) was tasty. Service was friendly and helpful in deciding what to order for our group. Loved the sangria (not super sweet as it can be)

Wilson is awesome and takes great care in everything brought to the table. The bacon dates-omg.

Not only was the table I reserved not ready on time, the staff at the restaurant seemed completely unaware of it, and did not accommodate us.

nice ambiance, food a bit off (felt like the flat bread had ketchup on it, artichokes -- very greasy; slider very fatty). Menu needs to be more assertive

Just a great gem! The waitress was very understanding and attentive to allergy concerns as well. It made the experience even better!

My wife and I were searching for something different in our neighborhood, and this place wasn't too far away, so we decided to go with it. The food was good, and the restaurant was nice and cozy (and not too loud). Needless to say, we plan to return.

This place is something of a hidden gem, although it has apparently been open for five years.

I made a reservation on OpenTable over a week in advance. When I got to the restaurant, they said they usually don't take reservations, and they didn't have anything on the books for that day. I showed them the reservation confirmation on my phone, and the host was very surprised. He had no tables available, but said he would try to seat us soon. We waited about 15 minutes, but he did find us a table. The food and service were both very good. It is a small place that seemed very popular. I would recommend going there, but don't bother making a reservation. I honestly don't know why they would have an OpenTable listing if they do not plan on honoring any reservations.

In the dining-challenged universe near the Museum of the City of New York and El Museo del Barrio, The Lexington Social is a gem. The menu consists of 7 or 8 classic tapas served in medium-sized portions and a very nice wine and beer list, with all of the aforementioned priced at $6-$9. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating -- we liked the meatballs, goat cheese-stuffed dates with pancetta and chorizo over white beans -- but did not care for the ceviche, so they kindly took it back. Perhaps the best thing about the warm and cozy Lexington Social is its clientele. We feared it would be gentrified to the exclusion of locals, but that isn't the case: The all-ages crowd ranged from immigrant construction guys to museum-goers.

This place is a real find. Tapas are great. Drinks are great. The only surprise is that it is so empty.

We had the lobster deviled eggs, the ravioli, the sea bass ceviche, the meatballs and the mushroom bruschetta... all of it was fabulous! And even before we got our small plates, the basket of peanuts on the table gave us a great nosh. The atmosphere is simple, welcoming, comfortable and unpretentious... We want to come back to try the other dishes and bring friends.
