First time to the lodge, and was very impressed with Sunday lunch!
Choice of lamb, pork or beef, home made Yorkshire’s and a great tasting side of red cabbage, broccoli and cabbage, roast potatoes, parsnips and extra gravy.
Even allowed to bring our fur baby into the restaurant which is great as we are all on holiday.
Have already booked to go back before we go back home!
Extensive menu. Food very good and service excellent. One of the very few restaurants we could find where we were able to take dog in with us, which was wonderful. The view from the restaurant and garden is amazing. We had a fantastic time.
As always good service and delicious food and a view to die for! Highly recommended
As a regular, I was disappointed on this occasion. Our meals arrived ‘cold’ at the table. The waitress was not very helpful, asking what we wanted her to do about it. Eventually we did get replacement meals, which were very good. Also, we ordered an ‘apple and rhubarb’ crumble, but this also had other berries in. The staff were unable to confirm the ingredients. Overall disappointing for our usual favourite restaurant. Has there been a recent change in management?
The staff are friendly and the views over Fistral Beach are stunning.
Always a good meal and place to be
The food and service were fabulous as always. The only thing that lets it down slightly as evening was how noisy it was.
The service was good and and the ambience lovely but this was let down by the overpriced poor food.
What else can I say some was overcooked whilst we mostly had very small portions.
Not good value for money.
Will not be returning
Stunning location, amazing food, incredibly clean with outstanding friendly staff - can’t recommend highly enough.
Great food, setting and good service, we all enjoyed the overall experience.
Lovely setting but limited menu if your allergic to fish like me - steak or a burger as yet again no lamb rump🙁service was very poor we got the new boy had to ask for drinks to be changed twice as they were put through wrong was told by waiter that the steak came with a sauce when we ordered one and said we didn’t want a sauce he said we might as well have it as it came with it then charged us £3.50 for it! Not sure if we’ll go back which is a shame as it’s a really nice setting
A fantastic evening made more enjoyable by the very happy lady - Kate - that looked after us 😊😊😊
Wonderful food , great staff would definitely recommend to everyone wonderful experience
Thankyou very much
This is simply a lovely place to have a meal. Recommend booking as it gets busy. The Limoncello cocktail was delicious. Great view, helpful staff.
Love the ambience and overall feel of The Lewinnick; the views are outstanding. Decor is lovely, contemporary and clean.
Food is good but overprice for what it was. Lunch for 4 was £120 (2 main meals, 2 small plates, 4 puds, 2 beers, 1 wine). Our waiter was a little strange, bordering on Basil Fawlty, but not unpleasant!
We always love going to visit Lewinnick Lodge. Usually for Breakfast. Always very good food and service. Just a very good experience all round. Can't wait for our next visit.
Lovely food and great service as we have come to expect. The menu seems to have been pared down, particularly the vegetarian options - very sorry to see the demise of the Cornish Yarg sausages 🙁 - which is what stopped us giving 5* for food, although the two options were both delicious so no complaints there. Staff were welcoming and the setup felt very safe from a Covid perspective without impacting the overall experience. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
We’ve been going to the Lewinnick for several years & it never disappoints. Always great food & service. In the summer the views are outstanding particularly the sun sets.
I was disappointed that the ‘small plate’ which gives the impression of a meal for those, like myself, with a smaller appetite, was in fact a starter. We found the menu limited for those who don’t eat red meat or seafood, the only chicken dish being a small plate (starter). The overall quality of the food was excellent, steaks cooked to perfection. The service was excellent and the views are incredible.
The food was great, however, i was surprised there wasnt more fish options, particulary on the specials menu. On previous visits there has been a far wider choice.
Loved this place. Amazing views . Staff attentive and polite. Limited menu but food delicious .
All really good, but the service, in particular, was excellent. Well done the staff.
Excellent food although there could have been a bit more Jus. Very friendly and helpful staff. Stunning views of Fistral Beach, Towan Headland and the coast right up to Trevose Head.
Always a great venue with wonderful views. Food is great quality - we shared a fish platter to start followed by moules frites for my wife and the belly pork for me. Both excellent. Service prompt and attentive. One of our favourite restaurants.
Food was not up to scratch and when we mentioned it all the staff said was “ we’ll make a note of it”. Service was very, very poor. Twice we had to get up and approach the staff rather than them checking on us.
Amazing food and lovely staff. The coffee/chocolate dessert special thing was unreal
Service was great! The waiter explained it was his first shift but he did a pretty outstanding job …an asset to the Lewinnick Team
Visited here a few times whilst on holiday and have never had a bad meal. Such an amazing, dramatic setting too!
Really enjoyable Sunday Lunch, lovely table looking out over fistral beach and the Cornish coastline on a beautiful sunny October afternoon. Good service tasty food and a relaxed a atmosphere - what’s not to like
What a fantastic setting. Sunday lunch was brilliant. Loin of pork and leg of lamb. Cheese board and a to die for sticky toffee pudding. Service excellent and the view extremely nice. Good value. Strongly recommend
Great atmosphere, great food, pleasant and helpful staff.
As always really lovely.....such friendly staff..... brilliant food and a wonderful setting.
One waiter in particular was very attentive and funny. Made our experience a good one.
Amazing lunch yesterday enjoyed by the whole family.
Staff were all so helpful and lovely and food was gorgeous. Thank you
Food was good. Had to change steak as was over cooked. They changed it fine and offered us a free drink. But after that felt like we were ignored and weren’t offered any dessert or coffee which we would of had.
Limited menu choice. Poor value for money.
Although wonderful location and view we went in the evening when it was dark and at a table positioned for a great view of our reflections in the expansive panes of window glass. Would be better to have the chairs facing into the restaurant at this time of year.
I have visited in the summer months for bar snacks and drinks and the place is transformed during daylight hours and sunshine!
Food and service amazing. Thank you making husbands birthday so good
Great but echoing so a noisy table was a pain.
Excellent service from both servers who used initiative. Limited menu the only downside.
