We enjoyed our appetizers on the restaurant week menu; brussel sprouts were excellent and the manchego cheese and ham was delicious. The entrees came out before we were half way done with the appetizers which we brought to the attention of the server. So timing could have been better. The manager came over to apologize and offered us a free dessert. His gesture was appreciated.
We had a very nice meal with lovely views and great wait staff
This was my 3rd time at the Lazy Goat. A bit disappointed with the food and service this time. The service was slow for the basics; drinks, refills, and to place the order. The Brussels Sprouts were a bit over seasoned and the grits were cold. Overall good food, but not as good as in the past.
Usually we love this place. But their restaurants week menu was not that great😔
We decided to order from the special menu for Restaurant Week. It was a good decision because the food was tasty and the portions were very generous.
Lovely meal!! Best hummus I've ever had! Waitress was very knowledgeable about the allergen contents of the different items I asked about
It was our first time in this restaurant and we will definitely go back. Food was very good and service was excellent. Good wine list that can be ordered by the glass. Important to make reservations.
What can I say, yet another great evening at the Lazy Goat; the food, the service was excellent. Great birthday celebration.
This was the opposite of our first experience. If you go please request seating on the floor below the entrance. The ambience far exceeds the main floor. The main floor feels like an abandoned office building. No one came to the table for 15 minutes until finally the manager came over and took our order. The spicy hummus appetizer came quickly but was fairly bland. Not as good as the first time we had it. The entree came 20 minutes later and the Mediterranean chicken was so dry my wife could not eat it. At least they did comp that entree. The paella was mushy as the rice was over done. Very disappointing.
Best steak I've ever had.
My husband and I came here for our anniversary on New Years Eve. We were seated right away at a beautiful table near the window overlooking the river! Our waitress was amazing and right on top of our needs. Food was amazing! Love the meat and cheese platters that they can custom make to your liking! To top it all off at the end we had the Honey Rosemary cheesecake; OMG so delicious! We will definitely be back for our anniversary again. Thank you Lazy Goat for a wonderful romantic evening!
We selected the Lazy Goat out of sheer laziness (it was next door to our hotel) and were not disappointed. Great food and server. Wished we lived in Greenville so we could go back soon.
The special rib eye steak was excellent and service was great
My wife and I really enjoy the Table 301 restaurants and dine with them often. We went to Lazy Goat on New Year's Eve for an early dinner. I used Open Table and I got the feeling that the restaurant was going to be busy given the limited selections I had. On the contrary, the restaurant was almost empty. Our menu was limited to the lunch selections of various sandwiches rather than the full menu. It was our fault for not asking beforehand because we were looking forward to the small plates for dinner. My feedback is the lunch menu is fairly expensive for the selections. I spent as much on lunch as I have for dinner and I had a broader menu and purchased more food. I will certainly return to the Lazy Goat and the other Table 301 restaurants but I will not go back to Lazy Goat for the lunch menu as it stands.
This restaurant is a consistent favorite for me here in Greenville. There are seasonal changes on the menu which make every visit a new experience. Our service was great!
Lunch was excellent. View over the river is lovely. Only downside was asking for hot tea and being told that the only selection was chamomile. No apology or real interest.
Great food and excellent service! It was a little loud (too much noise spill from bar above maybe?) and the food took awkwardly long to come out (but was excellent).
Always a great experience, with something new to try. Enjoyed a nice bottle of red wine along with the Falafel Salad, Brussel Sprouts, Mussels, and a new pizza choice which was hot spicy with lamb, olives raisins and other items. Very delicious.
A must go to restaurant for interesting food, a great view and superb service. You must try the Brussel sprouts!
Another wonderful evening at the Lazy Goat. Great food and service. And for the first time in quite a while they had two desserts without nuts!!!! Heaven! Loved the flourless chocolate cake! An excellent way to spend our 29th anniversary.
The Lazy Goat is our new favorite in downtown Greenville. Delicious food (four different entrees at our table, and all were wonderful), great service, pretty view of the river and the Peace Center, and nice options for wine by the glass as well as by the bottle. The French presse coffee was delicious. We'll be back.
Lazy Goat served as a get together for friends. We enjoyed appetizers, entrees, and a couple desserts. The waiter was efficient, thorough, and knowledgeable. We tried the fried goat cheese and the Moroccan Lamb as appetizers. Of the two, the lamb was my favorite. Many entrees were tried but the steak and the tenderloin seemed to be the favorites of the table. Everything was cooked to order and the presentation was spot on. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone that was looking for something a little out of the ordinary but wants a quality meal. Lazy Goat fits the bill and we will be back.
The menu contained choices that accommodated my preference for meat dishes as well as my friend's desire for vegetarian. We both had the baby lettuces, but we could have shared one. She ordered a tomato mozzarello pizza and I ordered the pork tenderloin. We shared an apple cake for dessert. The food was very good and the service was attentive. The wine list was extensive and the prices were reasonable.
Great food for a reasonable price!
Great food and service as always.
Location and ambiance was very nice. Service was good. There was a large party on the upper floor so the food may have suffered. Side dishes were well flavored. NY strip had so many tendons in it, I could only eat 1/2 of it. Not 100% sure if the grouper was actually grouper.
We have been going to Lazy Goat since they opened. Food quality remains vry good. They were having service issues this particular night.
The Lazy Goat is one of my favorite restaurants in Greenville. It has a romantic ambiance, and the food is very good.
Incredibly good service.
The table before us was slow to leave (we were party of 7) and the hostess arranged for free drinks. When it became apparent that the wait was to exceed 20 minutes, they provided free appetizers.
Staff is outstanding and so is the food.
Not the first time I have been there when they have gone out of the way to provide a wonderful experience.
Exceptional. Also did a stellar job hosting our Winthrop University event.
