Went to the Lazy Goat with a group of friends for my birthday. The service was great and the food was incredible. The restaurant had a great view and it was very comfortable. The Fried Goat Cheese was one of my favorites along with the charcuterie board.
Food was excellent- creative food combinations, and wide variety of options.
Post-dinner coffee was served lukewarm. We chose the Loukomades for dessert and thoroughly enjoyed thwm.
First time visiting. It's a very nice classic place. Great enviroment, service as well. The price was cheaper than I thought. Really good experience!
I had gone to Lazy Goate for a dinner date. It was an amazing experience.
We really enjoyed our lunch at the Lazy Goat. We started off with a Mezze appetizer with freshly made pita chips that had such a good flavor with a delicious feta cheese dip. We both liked our dishes. I had a pasta dish and my husband had a sandwich and they were both good. We had a great view of the river below and we enjoyed watching the families interact with the ducks. The service was great and we loved the decor. They have a nice walled in patio outside. There is a beautiful winding staircase to get down to the main dining areas so do keep that in mind for those with mobility issues. I didn’t see anywhere to park but the valet service but that was fine with us as we liked not having to look around for a place to park or have to walk a long walk. There is an ATM machine inside the Hampton inn ( across from the restaurant) to get cash if needed. I recommend you try the Lazy Goat.
Amazing paella I stand by this dish with all honesty one of the best I’ve ever had. And a very cozy outdoor tent for dining on the river.
The vibe was great, the food was amazing, and the view of the river was beautiful
It was an amazing thanksgiving menu
Great service and beautiful view
Since this Thanksgiving it was only my wife and our grandson we decided that instead of dealing with all the hassle and mess of preparing an elaborate Thanksgiving dinner we would treat ourselves to dinner out. After searching for restaurants serving Thanksgiving dinner in Greenville The Lazy Goat captured our eye and is where we decided on.
Dinner was excellent. I am not a fan of Brussels sprouts, but their preparation of them made them palatable to me, to be honest they were quite tasty. The main courses were all prepared well, and there was plenty for everyone. The side of “Grandma’s vegetable casserole” was a pleasant surprise, and the stuffing was excellent as well.
Having tried The Lazy Goat for this occasion our plan is to return to Greenville and give it a try for a regular dinner out.
Fantastic Thanksgiving meal, staff was wonderful, and food was delicious!
This is our second time at The Lazy Goat for Thanksgiving. We thoroughly enjoyed it and loved the family style service this year! It gave us more time at the table visiting with each other.
It was Thanksgiving!! Very first time my wife not cooking in decades. The food was absolutely Devine. Just perfect!!! This will probably be our new tradition!! The service and the food were the BEST!!!
This was the second Thanksgiving meal we’ve had at the Lazy Goat, and it was once again fabulous.
Our table was outside in a heated tent which was lovely. Our server knew when to come over and when to leave us alone (thanks, Clark). And the food was excellent.
First time at The Lazy Goat and I will be back. Good food and good service. Only negative was the speed of drinks from the bar; a little slow.
SIL birthday celebration
We had not dined at the Lazy Goat before, but we will most definitely be back! The service was top notch, the seating was perfect, and most importantly, the food was just outstanding! Be sure to order the Brussels Sprouts appetizer. I've had them many times, in many places, but The Lazy Goat's far surpasses them all! A great experience!
The Lazy Goat has it all...great atmosphere, magical tastings, and Spectacular service with Matthew!! I will be back🙂
Excellent food and service. The Gin-ger and Juice is my new signature drink!!!
we visited lazy goat after multiple recommendations! the atmosphere was fine- nothing special, service ok- would’ve been nice to know that he was charging us for a nearly $20 salad in addition to our $48 steak when he asked if we would like a salad- he also too thr liberty of adding the full salad option- not just the half - sneaky waiter move. flatbreads- meh. truffle fries amazing, fried goat cheese- possibly the best thing i’ve ever had. artichoke dish- wouldn’t recommend. ravioli- delicious- but pricey for what it was- 3 pieces of pasta. steak- average for this price. wine also overly expensive and poor choices. go for the goat cheese and fries- and have dinner somewhere less $$$!
Poor service. Prompted server through all aspects of the experience. Manager finally came when abandoned at the end. Food quality poor for serving size and price. We do not mind paying for the physics of food, to enjoy something tantalizing to the taste buds. The Lazy Goat fell short in both catagories.
Great food. Server made excellent recommendations
Always exceptional food and service.
Hidden eatery gem for sure! Great food, service & atmosphere! We had the prime rib sandwich that was absolutely fabulous! And, the Brussel Sprouts small plate was the best we have ever tasted!!! Our compliments to the Chef that created those very tasty Brussel Sprouts… The GM was making the rounds with Lazy Goat patrons was very personable & made sure everyone was happy with the food & service! The Lazy Goat is an outstanding Greenville restaurant! We highly recommend it!
Excellent menu with good variety and seasonal products
Best steak in town!
The duck was absolutely delish! Moist and flavorful
We love Lazy Goat. Has been our favorite restaurant over the years.
Only different thing last night was the new seating arrangements on the main floor. It felt like a big ballroom. Not the cozy atmosphere we are used to at Lazy Goat
First time eating here and it was terrific. Service was great and food was excellent.
Forgot when I made the reservation I specified it was for my birthday. Hostess and waitress were very kind in wishing me a happy birthday. The food recommends were great.
Food and service were excellent, a very enjoyable evening. We look forward to going back!
The view of Greenville and the Reedy River is special. The service was great! We were going to a show, mentioned to the waiter our time constraints. He made sure we had our food quickly and we easily made the show. The food was very good.
This place is perfect for a date night and the food was SO good. The fried goat cheese appetizer is a must!
Arrived early for lunch reservation, about 10 minutes early, and promptly seated. Service was attentive and efficient. Appetizer perfectly prepared and presented. Sandwiches were very good. Drinks from the bar well made. Overall, a very enjoyable lunch in downtown Greenville, with an excellent view of the Peace Center. Excellent service by Ebee, even though she was very busy. Will make a point to return again, and again, and again.
Great service again! Food was on point!
Had a girls night out dinner at Lazy Goat and it was PERFECT!! Food was delish, service was great and atmosphere was fun :)
We have been to the Goat before and enjoyed the Mediterranean style food. Last night the flatbread was tasteless and no sausage was available. Neither of us enjoyed the paella which was dry, flavorless and for $90, not worth it. Sorry. View wonderful
In past visits we would have given The Lazy Goat 5 stars across the board. But not yesterday. A table for 4 by the window was wonderful. Scotland, our waiter, gave us excellent service. We ordered 9 small plates/salads to share. I believe the table was 36" square. Add wine glasses, a wine carafe, water goblets and our plates and silverware ... and it was a nightmare to navigate to the food. Amazing we did not knock anything to the floor. It would have helped if the kitchen staggered what came out, especially since we had duplicates of a few items. Or have some larger tables ....
Our Thursday night reservation was at 5:30 and by 6:30 the noise level was so high we just gave up trying to have a conversation.
We loved the Brussel Sprouts. The Fried Goat Cheese Balls, Truffle Frittes and Fafafel Lettuce Cups were good. The Grilled Artichokes were super tough (they are usually tender) and we all had trouble cutting them ... a big fail. The Farm Salad had fresh greens, but they were not close to being bite size and very difficult to cut in the small bowls. The rest of the salad ingredients were not well mixed, so it was impossible to get a composed bite. Very disappointing.
But the half off deal on two special wines offered last night was great. We really enjoyed the $120 bottle of Rioja for $60.
