Service was really good. Main dish was not the best but appetizer and family members dish was great.
So my wife and I have eaten a number of places (Chicago, Charleston, Savannah, San Diego)…and I’ve written a lot of reviews….but this was the BEST food we’ve ever had.
We did it somewhat tapas style, which isn’t really intended, but we were happy we did! We ordered 6 different things and everything blew us away. Food was unique, flavorful, hot, served well, and just SO good. This place is top notch.
I would have liked it for the food alone, but then you add the ambience of being right on the river, giant windows, and a unique setting, can’t do any better. It isn’t cheap, but —and I rarely say this— it was worth the price.
Service was great also. Overall 11/10. Well done The Lazy Goat. GREAT. JOB.
Amazing service beautiful view and great food
Definitely a must if you are in Greenville and if you have a special occasion
Nice views at night. Good food.
It was a busy evening in downtown Greenville. Live music was playing at the amphitheatre across the river so it was really loud even inside the restaurant (door to the patio left open) and hard to have a conversation. BUT, happy to have life back on the Reedy... Food was great, our waitress was top notch. Will definitely go back.
Great food, great service, great views overlooking downtown Greenville and Reedy River. We love The Lazy Goat!
Our server, Stella, was top-notch. The Lazy Goat is one of those rare restaurants were everything comes together well - ambiance, food, and service. We'll be back with our whole family next time.
They didn’t have the wine we ordered and waitress didn’t know what others were available similar in taste and price. Took forever to get bottle. The apettizers were very good!
So sweet! Thank you!! One of our favorite sweet place in Greenville with sweet memories!
Great service, food and ambiance. Go there, you won't be disappointed.
We shared the all-inclusive family style dinner. All of the courses were delicious. Crispy fried chicken and the trout were good. All the first course dishes were terrific as well, the brussel sprouts, the goat cheese and the salad. Overall a fun experience.
Wonderful dinner experience. Food arrived a little cool. But otherwise it was delightful.
Took forever to get food. There were tables that were at after us that got their food before we did. Clearly something got screwed up. Food is okay the quinoa in the falafel bowl has zero flavor/seasoning
Jessica was an amazing, knowledgeable server. She recommended the perfect dishes and the right amount of food. The food was outstanding. We’re from NY and dine out often, this place was top notch.
Lazy Goat is a hotel restaurant in serious culinary decline. The sparsely decorated main dining room was almost empty for a Friday evening. We ordered a charcuterie board for an appetizer and the food runner was unable to identify anything on it other than cheddar cheese. The trout entre tasted old, undercooked, and was served in a tomato soup broth. The paella with shrimp was equally bad and poorly flavoured, making it inedible even with copious amounts of salt & pepper added in a vain attempt to instill some life. The one and only bright spot (other than the view of the river) was the house red sangria. Avoid.
Great time. Great food. Amazing service.
Our service, particularly our waitress, Krista, was awesome! The whole meal and experience was delightful. We will be back!
Food, service and the view were outstanding! Will be back!
The service and food is outstanding! So happy no masks and seated us by a window overlooking river great atmosphere! Clark was a great server will be back!
Even considering the impact of the pandemic, the menu was limited and the food uninspired. The Smoked Paprika Tagliatelle that I had was so overwhelmed with chorizo and red pepper flakes that the homemade Tagliatelle itself was smothered. Our server asked if we wanted "to add protein to the dish," but the was plenty of chorizo included already. The service was slow even though the restaurant wasn't even half full. The dessert menu consisted of only three items, none of which were particularly appealing. A sorbet is fine and appropriately Mediterranean, but a sorbet is hardly something in itself that justifies comprising ⅓ of the dessert menu.
Amazing dinner. As always. Lazy Goat is a MUST when in Greenville, especially seating by the waterfall outside.
I was introducing my partner to this amazing Mediterranean restaurant! Everything was delicious! Highly recommend goat cheese balls, Brussel sprouts, and Moroccan lamb.
I was looking forward to our second trip back there since the first time it was an amazing experience. The service from our waitress was top notch. That basically was the highlight of the dining experience. The appetizer was good along with the salad. My main course the angus beef was like chewing on rubber bands. I basically had to chew it then spit it out. My wife had the trout and it came out cold and portion was extremely small. The red sauce had zero flavor. We still tipped over 20% because our waitress was awesome. I left very disappointed.
it's our go to in greenville
We found the food to be pretty uninspired and disappointing. My salmon was completely unseasoned and over cooked. The pasta my husband ordered tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The staff were not especially friendly.
We ate outside. Ambience was good but the food was not worth the price.
Amazing staff. Very friendly. Wonderful wine selection. Food was great! And the ambience, and view are top notch
Ambience was nice. Beautiful view of the river. Waitress was nice and knowledgeable. Food vwas okay but not great.
Our dining experience was great from reservation desk to our server. Food was great
It was amazing! We had La Paella and the Mediterranean fried chicken Delicious!
One of my favorites!
An eclectic restaurant with a nice view. Loud inside due to the main dining area being a big open space go take advantage of the view. The lamb and brussels sprouts appetizers were very good. The tagliatelle with chorizo is good, but the chorizo is on the tough side. The trout was good, but a very small portion.
We went to this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Loved the entire experience! Atmosphere, food, and service were amazing!
We ate outside per request last evening. Great service. Very sweet hostess. They are often overlooked. Wonderful food. Fellow diners polite. Great experience at LG, as always.
We sat outside in the shade with a wonderful breeze. Staff was helpful. Food was delicious particularly the goat cheese appetizer. Excellent wine choices. Highly recommend
We recently ate outside at the Lazy Goat and had a wonderful time. We had a great table, a great bottle of wine, and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Our server, Patrice (hope I spelled it correctly) was great, and even though it was only her second week, she did a terrific job and made our experience even better. Glad to be eating out again and will be back.
I love the goat but the menu is too limited. The beef dish doesn’t measure up not tender enough
I wish for the old days when there were more choices I won’t return any time soon unless the menu is improved
Also portion too small on my trout. And desserts too limited. I know the goat can do better
I was disappointed that my friends from ashville where there are so many great places had so few options
Cool atmosphere...location is great for a date night...food is just ok....pretty pricey for what you get
Beautiful patio. Had the goat cheese, Brussels sprouts and Moroccan lamb. All were delicious.
Food was great! Everything the server recommended was fantastic. I will definitely return!
