The Lazy Goat
The diverse menu was created to accommodate a variety of diner preferences with meat & cheese plates, small plates to “graze and nibble,” and main dishes.
Guests are invited to take their time while "trying a little bit of this and a little bit of that" or a "whole lot of whatever they like."
The food was amazing! Will absolutely dine here again!
As usual, the food was delicious. Our waiter must have gotten busy with other patrons because we were very neglected. Waiting on a glass of tea for 20 minutes isn't acceptable, neither is having to flag down your waiter to order, to get a to go box or ask for your check.
Used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Greenville. Still love the atmosphere, but the food is not as good as it used to be and the service was terrible. We were trying to make a show at the peace center and the server took 30 minutes to bring our check when we told him we were in a hurry. We constantly had to flag down other people to ask for drinks, water, etc. The food is not as good as it used to be either. Overall, very disappointed.
We were celebrating on a girls getaway. The food was great and our waiter outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
We always recommend the Lazy Goat to friends and family!
Enjoyed the food offerings and excellent service. Definitely a rowdy crowd that particular night.
Thank you to the Lazy Goat team who made our date night so special!!
The staff was incredibly accommodating and the food was wonderful as always.
My best friend from high school and our two teenage daughters ate together here for a late lunch on Saturday. It was a great time of friendship and great food. There weren't too many people there and we had a very nice quiet lunch.
Food, atmosphere and service were excellent. I will go again next time I visit Greenville
We were in town for a conference and took a prospective client to dinner. My only complaint is that portion sizes were skimpy but everything was absolutely delicious!
The ambience and food were delicious, and we dine and travel extensively. However, what made the experience unique was our super sweet University of South Carolina server that provided a history of the downtown area, and all the reasons we should move here from Ohio! We wish The Lazy Goat would open a location in Cleveland, goat cheese appetizer delish!! Salmon with anchovy and caper sauce perfect, followed by a beautiful walk along the river. Thank you for the experience!!!
We have been to Lazy Goat many times in the past but our dinner last Saturday was an awful experience. Our waiter kept disappearing and never checked on our drinks. Our son went to the bar with his glassto get a refill of his soda. Our wine bottle took almost 20 minutes make it to the table and appetizers showed up at all different times. The food was very tasty as usual.
Great food! Cool place.
Awesome food, lovely view and fun place!
We loved the Brussel sprouts and mussels ❤️
The service, atmosphere, and food were all amazing! The scallops, Brussels sprouts, and fried goat cheese were spectacular. I probably wouldn’t get the pork tenderloin again. It didn’t “wow” me as much as the other dishes. Overall a great experience!
Great atmosphere. Loved our wine and appetizers. Waiter was super kind. Meals were decent but wanted a bit more options! Loved that it's right on the water... view is incredible!
Great food, great service, pleasant atmosphere and speedy too. I highly recommend it and look forward to dining at The Lazy Goat again!
Food was very good. Service was a little slow when we first arrived, but once we let the waiter know that we had to be at a show at the Peace Center, it was much faster.
The Lazy Goat is my favorite place to dine when I am in Greenville. Food, service and atmosphere is always top shelf!!
Wonderful service and food
Ambiance is great, but everyone's main course was cold.
exciting menu with many options. Service was great.
The Lazy Goat has been my go to spot in Greenville for a great dinner for a few years. But my most recent visit really let me down. The service left much to be desired. The server walked away from the table before getting everyone's drink order. She was not the most friendly and I felt we got a little attitude from her. The food is still good but not as stand out as it used to be. I'll choose somewhere with better service and food in the future.
First time at Lazy Goat. Goat cheese & brussel sprouts apps. were great. We will be back.
It was my 28th birthday dinner. I’ve dined here a dozed times and I love it more and more each and every time!
Alway enjoy my time at the goat!
The service left much to be desired. Our waiter was not knowledgeable of menu items, was extremely slow and not attentive to our needs. When the bill came it was messed up. Our server left to fix it and it came back exactly the same. Dinners were expensive seeing that bread and a salad we're not included. We were charged for bread that we ordered as we were still hungry. It came with no butter or dipping oil. There are too many good restaurants to give the Lazy Goat another try. We will not be returning.
This was our second visit to The Lazy Goat. It didn't disappoint! We love the foods, service and ambiance the restaurant has to offer.
Sat at bar top. Had to get our own water after waiting 15 mins. Didnt get drinks for 25 mins.
We were there for one hr and the three dirty tops beside us were never cleaned and the check was never picked up. This was at 7p on a Sunday.
Had a 6:30 reservation and arrived on time, but table wasn't ready. Would've had a drink at the bar while waiting but elementary school-aged children were occupying 3 of the available 13 stools. Light was too bright to see the river outside, and all through dinner we were serenaded by the beat of a base drum (or its equivalent) vibrating up from the floor below. Food okay but overpriced for portion size served. Not much good to add; won't return.
Thank you for a super birthday lunch! Your view is absolutely amazing! Food and service too!
I wasn't impressed with Lazy Goat at all, especially considering other restaurants in the vicinity that fall within the same price range. The food was a bit flavorless and the staff(at least our waitress) had basic training at best as to what was on the menu. Knowing you menu, what kind of steak was on the menu, what the temperatures looked like (medium warm pink center for example), providing the correct utensils, being attentive or properly pouring a glass of wine are basic things a waiter/waitress should know at this price point. The atmosphere reminded me of a cold hotel lobby with many staff distractions. It wasn't a pleasant experience, especially for the day's occasion. I wouldn't take away from the fact that our waitress was kind and respectful. The creme brulee was probably the only good piece of the meal. The training appeared to be something across the board. Overall sadly disappointed.
The Lazy Goat is one of our favorite Greenville restaurants. The food is always very tasty. We love getting lots of small orders and sharing. On this night we shared the brussels, the shrimp and the lamb. All were excellent.
We like to choices for us who do not eat meet. Awesome combinations of flavors that make the pairings so interesting!
The service was exceptional.
This restaurant was a delightful surprise! My sister and I were on a girl trip, we love tapas, so we decided to try The Lazy Goat. We were delighted. The dishes was creative, inspired, and absolutely delicious! The Truffle Pommes Frites that had real shaved truffle were my favorite. The pasta of the day had a wonderful flavor, with asparagus, fresh tomatoes, and a lovely cream sauce. The pasta itself was over cooked and soft, not al dente as it should have been. Had the pasta been properly cooked and seasoned, this would have been an outstanding dish. Service was spot on. Add in a view of the river, and wow! All in all, an excellent restaurant, well worth trying!
Nice, inventive Mediterranean dishes in a great setting along the Reedy River. Dining room was also very cozy and comfortable.
Early Valentine’s Day dinner
Nice ambiance next to the river. Appetizers were excellent! Duck-Duck Goat pizza was very good with the arugula, confit duck, and all the other toppings. Recommend this restaurant!
