Everything was okay... service was lacking. We were never told about any specials, we waited 35 minutes for our appetizers.. then food followed quickly after. The mussel appetizer was amazing, by far the best thing about the night. We waited 5 minutes for our drink refills. Then were quickly rushed out. Nothing was outstanding but it wasn’t the worst I’ve ever had. Won’t be running back
Initially I was a bit dismayed with the parking situation as I had dogs in my car, but The Lazy Goat had the answer, their patio is dog friendly, and the patio setting is absolutely gorgeous. It was the perfect setting for a nice lunch on the river. The food was delicious, but how can you go wrong with grilled cheese with pesto? Would love to visit this restaurant again with the dogs and then go for a nice walk along the river after.
Unfortunately the Lazy Goat restaurant did NOT preform as a top eatery. Servers overwhelmed and underperformed. Lamb appetizers came out cold and we waited to long for delivery. Meals were okay, again cold...Fish plate was delicious, but small portions and the eggplant dish was cold, sent back and they did not even top off portion. Service was overall poor! Guess a crazy St. Patty’s at the Goat...improvement needed.
Goat cheese balls with honey and pistachios was extrodinary. We will order it every time.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Service was mediocre at best.
Went there for my parents anniversary - they loved the food and the scenery! Highly recommend
I have eaten at the Lazy Goat a number of times and I have found the service and the food consistently good. This restaurant is my “go to” place when I have out town guests.
I was on a business trip and the Lazy Goat was close to the hotel since I was arriving late in the evening . The selection was difficult as I was unfamiliar with most of the dishes. I had a salad and an unusual pizza dish called Duck Duck Goat. Both were very good. A little noisy, but overall enjoyable.
I have always liked the Lazy Goat but they kicked it up a notch with the hiring of Wilbert Sauceda as Executive Chef. He isn't a chef, he's an artist. Great hire!
Exploding with flavor! The best way to describe a North African-seasoned pork dish and the Fig Date Night carrot cake. Server very knowledgable about the wine and menu items & delighted in telling us about the. Great setting overlooking the Reedy River. But hard to find, since it's on the back, river-facing side of the building, and a level below the street. But well worth the search.
In town for a wedding. It was walking distance from roof top bar, and our Hotel. A bit of a climb down the stairs to our table as there was another event in the restaurant on the upper level . Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and wine list. Our food was very good.
Die Atmosphäre ist locker. Die Karte ist sehr umfangreich, viele vegetarische Gerichte. Die Qualität der Gerichte ist ausgezeichnet, sehr gut gewürzt, sehr geschmackvoll.
Great meal experience.
Server was pleasant and knowledgeable. Food was mediocre and under seasoned. View of the river was very nice.
Meal out before concert. The service was great and the food was excellent!
Decent food, great view, nice people, a little more expensive than I thought it would be...
The service was good. It’s always enjoyable at Lazy Goat. The Moroccan lamb and Brussels sprouts were both excellent.
Appetizers were excellent- Brussel sprouts and goat cheese, pork was delicious, fish was cold, wine was unavailable yet on the wine list.
As usual lovely dining experience! Terrific service!
One downfall the paella was over salted. Was def our least fav dish.. usually my fav. But this night we barely touched it because of the salt... everything else... Outstanding!
Great service and excellent food.
Excellent food, very good service, but not quite as polished as it could be. The restaurant is very "live", so conversation can be a bit of a challenge, particularly if their are boisterous large group gatherings. But, well worth a visit to try it out. We will be back, despite the noise.
Beautiful restaurant with great views of the Reedy River and waterfront. Food was pretty good. There's better to be had in Greenville. The cocktails were quite tasty. We'll go back for cocktails and appetizers for sure.
Food always great and flavorable. Love the view of downtown Greenville.
Very nice unique food which combines outstanding flavors which are not typical for South Carolina.
We had a date night as we were visiting Greenville for the day. With so many options to eat in the city, The Lazy Goat left zero regrets about our choice. We picked four appetizers and a pizza and were impressed by all. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to try different dishes. The garlic shrimp was our favorite but the fried goat cheese and lamb were great as well
I was disappointed at how small the portion sizes were for the price. I also ordered the rosemary cheesecake and I spit it out it was so terrible. The flavor, texture, and presentation did not at all resemble a cheesecake and I was very sad.
This used to be a favorite place to go. But, this time was not as enjoyable as my last experience. Our server disappeared after our food was served, so water refills, dessert, and getting the bill became adventures in patience. He seemed indifferent for some reason.
Great food, unusual but harmonious and great quality. Service is also excellent.
The overall noise level was very loud and made it hard to hold a conversation. My wife and went for a date night. Overall not bad food but the waiter seemed I really tasked and didn’t spend much time on our table. Didn’t even get a refill on my drink till after we were finished eating.
That being said it is a nice place and seems like a good place for friends and groups but for a couple date night.
Grouper was delicious. The olives are to die for. Wonderful evening.
I would have given this is a “5” but the meditaranian chicken was dry even though the taste was great.
The drinks were not good at all. The cheese and meat board was great as always but my steak was tough and dry. LG IS ONE IF OUR FAVORITE PLACES. We do not make a habit of leaving bad reviews but it wasn’t good this time. We complained about the drinks and not really even an apology and we paid for drinks that we didn’t drink.
Lazy Goat is one of our favorite's and a logical choice for Valentine's Day. As expected, it was busy, but even with reservations, we got stuck in the upstairs room, which we don't like as much. The service was somewhat slower than usual, though the waiter was great. It seems the kitchen was just overtaxed. We love the Goat and always take out-of-town guests there, and all of them love it too. An occasion-day just might not be the best time to enjoy all the goodness.
Lazy Goat is always a good choice for unique presentations and interesting meals. I love the ambiance which is light-hearted and special. The view is great, and I'm always so happy to have a window seat, although the view is possible from almost any seat in the downstairs dining room. Great service. Food was fantastic. Loved the fried goat cheese appetizer, French fries with homemade ketchup is fantastic, loved my beef tenderloin and my husband's grouper was thoroughly enjoyed. Lazy Goat is a great option for people who enjoy a little change in the usual. Thanks for a great evening!
Great place! Was concern about plate size but the plate size was good. If you get the fries, be ready for a very large helping of yummy fries! For dessert, the carrot cake is a cupcake.
Loved the food! The brussel sprouts were so surprising! The view was beautiful, and my wife and I had a great time.
Food was delicious! Started with goat cheese and honey and crispy Brussel Sprouts. Even if you’re not a fan of Brussel sprouts, give these a try! Lamb is always delicious. The paella for one was huge and had plenty of protein not just rice. A lot of selections so everyone can find something to enjoy at the Lazy Goat.
Awesome chicken special. Great atmosphere
My third time. Lamb appetizer always a favorite; the Paella could use less rice and more fish other than clams or mussels; the eggplant entree was not at all what I expected: too many huge tomatoes and some other taste I can't define. Disappointed that the waitress noticed I had only taken a small spoonful and didn't offer to substitute something or remove it from the bill. The goat cheese with pistachios is very tasty but just know they are little fried balls. Desserts yummy and lovely view.
The food was very good and we ended up ordering a few items and just sharing everything. The mussels appetizer was amazing and very filling, grouper dish was amazing as well, fish was cooked perfectly, and the paella was wonderful. Great flavors and great attention to detail.
