Great food, service, and ambiance. Will definitely be returning.
Awesome vibe! Amazing craft cocktails and fabulous food. Had the Lady Lawrence, oysters, steak tartare and the burger. All wonderful !
Ambience was nice, steak was really tough and we had medium rare and medium well.
Such a beautiful restaurant, welcoming staff, and wonderful food
Excellent cocktails, cozy-cool vibe.
Needs more vegetarian and vegan options for every meal.
Everything about The Lawrence was amazing! Excellent food, dessert, wine, service and ambiance. I would highly recommend it to everyone!!!
Loved everything- a little bummed the champagne we wanted was out but we ended up ordering 2 half bottles of white wine that was good! Omg the Cheech & dip is so good. Jada was our server and was awesome
We arrived on Sunday after multiple attempts to call the restaurant to alert them we would be 15 minutes late. There was no answer after multiple attempts. We arrived at 2:45 & stood at the door with no attention from any staff member for an awkward amount of time.
We were sat and the host poured water. We were then left for over 20 minutes with no one coming to serve us. We left due to the lack of service & not a single staff member noticed.
We had the olives and pickled veggies to start, which were great! The burger was also fantastic.
Salad with bacon tasted dirty. Salmon was overcooked.
This was our first time visiting the restaurant. It was not a good first impression.
The website menu and the restaurant menu was different. We were told they didn't have time to consistently update the website. They ran out of food (ie.bacon, hamburger meat etc.) Our waitress attitude was take it or leave it. Very disappointed.
My waiter, Ashley, was very friendly and made sure I enjoyed myself, while not being too intrusive. It was a peaceful brunch, with a delicious mimosa.
Cute spot. Two of us went early on a Friday so it was not crowded. Small menu but food was delicious. Good wine choices. Our server was great. I would go back!
Great service, atmosphere and food. I will definitely go back!
The whole experience was amazing from beginning to finish.
Loved this place! In from Denver for the weekend - wanted exactly what we got. Amazing food, nice people, quiet, nice setting. Loved everything about this place and would go back again tomorrow!
Disappointing. The food was good, but the service was surprisingly poor. The bread plate was dirty (I sent it back), we had to ask for more knives when our entrees arrived because they had been taken up with the bread, and when I asked for hot tea with brunch, I got the impression that they didn't really know how to serve it. I was given Earl Grey (not my choice) that was pre-brewed (no bag when it arrived at the table) and had to ask for milk, which came in small plastic dish (like for condiments). The server told me he had more brewing when I was ready for it. What?!?
Great date night! Our 1st time dining here, but def not our last!! Everything we had was fantastic- drinks, starters, sides! Did not disappoint. Can’t wait to try some other items on the menu! Service was excellent all across the board.
The kitchen was very slow but otherwise the experience was perfection.
Costeel is the best!
Love the ambience and neighborhood feel
Unfortunately, nothing was very good. Appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Perhaps a very off night for the kitchen.
Food was tasty. TJ our waiter was excellent. However the restaurant was "out of wine glasses"! 3 page wine list and our bottle of wine was served in highball glasses. 😞
Very good but they were 86 about 20% of menu items
Tried to order a whiskey on the rocks and 3 times was told didn’t have in stock
The cocktails were amazing and the service was great. Our entrees were good but the appetizers, we ordered 3, were a bit of a miss. Will definitely go back for drinks.
We always have a great meal at The Lawrence. It is convenient to the Fox Theater so it is a go to before performances. Our waiter on Saturday was wonderful. His name is Castillo and he was helpful and fun to work with. Ask for him by name.
I enjoy every experience at The Lawrence. The vibe and ambience are always great! And the food is delicious.
Great menu and bar.
Noise level was the main negative.
Quaint place with adequate and delicious menu.
Great food. Amazing drinks. Loud atmosphere.
The Lawrence is where the Midtown locals go for really good food, an excellent bar and wine and old fashioned conversation. Tonight we started with an appetizer of fresh raw oysters served with a delicious Meuniere sauce. I enjoyed a moist and flavorful- Tuscan Airline chicken breast (I find that name completely offensive-who ever had a good piece of chicken on an airline!). The house made pickled vegetables were a fine complementary flavor. My partner ordered oxtail tagliatelle. The serving looked small when it arrived, but the richness of the oxtail meat and gravy created a very satisfying dish. We ordered a Bruleed cheesecake and a dark chocolate cream topped with a raspberry sauce. Both were very delicious and not-too-large. The chef has a wonderful gift of creativity with flavors. The Lawrence is always full...but service doesn't hurry the diners. Call for a reservation. Parking is available across the street. Go and enjoy!
I took a prospective employee to dinner on a Tuesday evening and we had to shout at one another to be heard across a table for two. The food was okay when it finally arrived, but we had to wait 15 minutes for a cocktail to arrive and another 45 minutes (with no check in from the wait staff) for the meal to arrive. It was a big disappointment, having had good experiences here previously.
Food overcooked. Drinks were good, but service not so good. Took a long time to get drinks and no check in about the food.
Good food. Fast service. Excellent attentiveness from staff.
Been there many times but took a group of 7 there Saturday night and it took an hour to get an entree. Was not even that crowded. Waiter was attentive but clearly there was a problem in the kitchen
Best burger I’ve had in years. The Larry sauce is very good. Service was excellent.
While this is not the first time we have been here, it had been a while since we came in, my fiancé and I came for dinner on New Years Eve. Every other time we have been here the food and service has been exceptional, except for this time, and I will give them the benefit of the doubt because it was New Years Eve. First, I was disappointed to learn the salmon chips were no longer on the menu, which was easily their best appetizer in my previous visits. Not sure if this was a new menu because of the NYE thing, but it used to be a staple for them. Next, our server was very inattentive, I think we saw him three times. Once to take our order, once to deliver the check, and once to bring my card back. The food took forever to arrive, and when it did show up, it was cold. The hostess had to bring our food out. They did not bring the wine pairing we ordered with our food either, so we had to wait even longer for that, again delivered by the hostess. When the wine did show up, I’m not even convinced it was the wine we ordered, it tasted like $6/bottle grocery store wine (was listed as $14/glass). At this point, I didn’t even care and just wanted to eat and get out ASAP. Really disappointed in the experience as I was so sure it would be a great restaurant for this occasion. Hopefully this night was an exception and not a new standard.
Too loud last night
