Service was very good!
Restaurant was run down. Holes in seats, and the table spun around so much that when my husband cut his steak water splashed from our glasses. I pointed it out to the waiter and he said he knew it was a problem. So why sit us there? Both pork and steak were overdone. Nice vibe though, and the cocktails were excellent. I probably would not eat there again if other options were available.
I really enjoyed the food and our server “Brian” was awesome! Highly recommend.
We loved our server Brian and the new chicken wings are fantastic. So good!
Hi Lawrence, we enjoy our weekly and semi-weekly meals. Fantastic and kudos to the Chef. Just a recommendation, your bathrooms really do need some maintenance. It's hard that we rate you a top restaurant but that it's just very dirty looking inside. I hope that you'll take this opportunity to make small improvements. We find the service magnificent and the food divine.
Food is so so. Staff could be more educated about the cocktails (including the bartender) but staff was very welcoming and nice. Food options could be better. Atmosphere was quiet, your could talk and not have to scream (on a Wednesday evening).
When for brunch the atmosphere is really nice, food and drink was really good. I of my favorite brunch spot I highly recommend going.
Our Experience at The Lawerence was not positive. We went for Sunday Brunch. Once we arrived and viewed the menu, we realized that the menu had changed. The online brunch was not the same. All the dishes we were seeking to try were no longer on the menu. We ordered mimosas and sangrias. We found and insect in the bottle. Supposedly, they replaced it with a drink in the same glass. We ordered from the limited menu. Of the six of us, only one person felt satisfied with their meal. Steak was over cooked with just warm fries, not hot. Jambalaya Gravy on has brown bowl was horrible. It left a nasty taste in my mouth. The Jambalaya and grits was salty and cold. The grits were hard. The atmosphere was nice overall. No complaints about the waitress. The food was not pleasing. I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend.
Food was either overcooked or undercooked. Very tasteless
The mussels were wonderful - the toast could have been softer though so you could soak up the sauce better! Our server was attentive but not too much so.
Everything was great as expected. I enjoyed my birthday dinner very much. The pork chop was cooked to perfection and of course the cocktails were on point as always.
The service was great. We had to get out promptly as we were going to the theater and they worked with us without making our meal feel rushed. Our appetizers were incredible- both the clams and the Brussels sprouts had us licking our plates. Although our entrees were good - grouper and steak - they were nothing special.
The vibe was okay. It was quiet and low key. The food was good but the menu was really small. Only 5ish entree options so that was a little disappointing. It was also pretty dark in there. The service was great!
This was my second time eating at the Lawrence. My first time was for dinner and that was fine. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. It was not special and I could make at home and better. The french toast was burned and undercooked at the same time. The drinks were good.
Fun, accommodating, and attentive wait staff. The small menu covered all of the bases and had something for diverse dietary needs. We had the fried calamari. The sauce was too spicy for my two companions. We had the mahi which we needed to sent back because of a preference for well-done. The ravioli which everyone enjoyed. And, the chicken with gnocci and green beans. The portions were healthy which was nice as we were going to the theater afterward. The ginger pound cake was good - it could have been a bit more moist and did not need the pepitas, etc. It was a good size and perfect for sharing. My companion enjoyed her mixed drink and we loved the prosecco which was a perfect pairing for a kinda rich meal. Great distance to the Fox.
They have very little food to choose from on the menu. Very few beers. They do have a full bar and my server said they could not make a peach martini? I ended up talking to the bar tender directly and she was helpful and made exactly what I wanted. That said I would not recommend. Overpriced, no selection.
Great staff! Fun atmosphere. Easy walk to Fox Theater for a show
Our server, Rachel was pleasant and attentive. My husband’s burger was stellar. My mushroom ravioli was subpar. I would return here and order something else.
A wonderful neighborhood restaurant always delivering great food and service.
We grabbed a quick bite before heading to the Fox Theatre (very easy walk). Everything was lovely! We were able to sit outside and is was delightful. We were seated immediately and our server came out quickly to check on us and take our drink order. We decided on the Larry burger and the Mahi. My fish was PERFECT. Cooked perfectly and the caper and tomato sauce was light and balanced. My daughter loved the burger. She was originally a little skeptical about the beef/pork patty but I told her it makes for a super juicy burger and she was not disappointed! She gave it a chef's kiss.
If I wasn't driving I would have sampled some of the cocktails, they sounded amazing and I will 100% be back to try a couple. Our server took lots of time with the table next to us describing the cocktails and I was bummed we hadn't taken an uber!
Dined before a show at the Fox and found a delightful dining experience paired with well crafted cocktails and dinner items. The swordfish was slightly delicious though slightly overcooked for our taste. Perhaps ask for medium. Well done, The Lawrence. We will be back before our next show as it was worth the easy 7 minute walk.
Met up with friends before show at the Fox. Great food. Great service. Great weather. Awesome drinks. A little loud because we sat outside and had rush hour traffic, horns, and sirens going by. It’s par for the course.
The food was delicious and service was attentive. Food, drink, service were excellent. We got the outside table as requested but didn't realize how noisy it would be with rush hour traffic plus construction of the street. So the ambiance was less than average.
We came here for my friend's 21st birthday. The staff was super accommodating (let us add a person to our reservation last-minute, put a candle in our dessert to celebrate, super nice and helpful) and made our experience so wonderful. This was my third time here, and I'll definitely be back!!
High priced for the quality of food. The chicken was very tough and the steak was terrible. The drinks were fair, although too sweet for my taste. Also, the service was quite slow.
The mushroom/oyster ravioli didn’t have much flavor. Burger was mediocre. It didn’t meet our expectations and certainly wasn’t worth that price. The tables inside were too dark to eat at. Probably won’t be back.
The food and service were amazing!
We had a delicious dinner at The Lawrence-the steak and frites were great, as was the swordfish. The bar has a unique menu of awesome drinks. And we loved the ambiance. Will definitely go back.
Absolutely wonderful service and food!
Very small menu, I think only 5 entrees... but good variety and the food was very good. Had the Mushroom Ravioli and Pork Chops... both delicious. The steak and frits looked good too. We had the the Mussels for and appetizer... very good. It was very nice and quiet, but we ate early... might get noisier later. Overall, a very nice date night.
Server put my husband's order in wrong and instead of making it right she passed us off to another server! She was still working tables right next to us! Food was good, but more great. Would not go again.
Great spot for brunch. We sat outside on the patio which was very nice. The food and service was good. The wait for our food seemed a little long, but we assumed that they might be short staffed and didn’t think much of it since we were enjoying the patio and not in a hurry. The server came to our table and told us they just realized our order got placed behind others who came after us and to make up for it the manager was taking our two Bloody Mary’s off the bill. That was very nice since we didn’t complain about the wait. Good customer service!
The hostess was accommodating and cheerful. Our server was awesome. Top notch! Although the initial order wait was a little frustrating - it was totally understandable due to the health pandemic circumstances. Our server was really the entire floor/[inside] house server. He managed each table and customer experience very well! The dining experience was 100. I highly recommend The Lawrence for cuisines, cocktails and conversation. I will be back!
Delicious food and excellent service. Will definitely come here again when visiting Atlanta again!
Good food. Great service.
This is a great neighborhood restaurant that we go to quite often. We always sit outside because sometimes it can get loud inside if there is a large party. Although the way they have the inside seating now for Covid I doubt it gets noisy. The food is always great and the menu changes regularly.
A real neighborhood gem…..excellent service and every food item was outstanding.
The food was delicious! I shall return!
The Lawrence was very good! The pork chops, sushito peppers, mussels, and service was excellent!
