We chose The Lakehouse based on previous experiences in the area, and were not disappointed. The Gulf fish of the day was prepared perfectly, and the cauliflower was a great addition. The chef's special, a redfish, included the tail; it had just been delivered to the restaurant a couple hours earlier, extremely fresh. It was, however, incompletely filleted, there were quite a few bones left in it. Save room for dessert, the bread pudding is superlative.

The brunch was delicious! So many options. A great atmosphere and view. The live music was an added bonus!

Nice dinner with friends on a recent Friday evening. Great ambiance, both inside & out. Everything we had from appetizers to entrees, was delicious. Of particular note were the scallops, the bbq shrimp and the bouillabasse. Good wine list also.

We lunched at the Lakehouse before but this was our first Sunday brunch. Love the ambiance and the vibe. Very upbeat. Waitress was very attentive and our glasses were always filled. I’m not a buffet person but this was different. The stations were always filled and always clean. Food was very good and had a great selection to choose from. Will definitely return in the near future.

This is the best Sunday champagne brunch on Northshore with an excellent view of lake.

Overall we were pleased with our dinner and food items. We felt the overall dining experience was lacking due to several reasons. The wait staff being rather young were not experienced trained wait staff. Too many times they were on their cell phones - including the host - in the front of the restaurant in the view of diners. The waiter laughed when my husband asked for a NA beer - just inexperience. He also brought me a warm beer and had to ask for a cold one, which they had - just a mistake they should not make. The bouillabaisse was a fish and shrimp in a chunky tomato based broth - a bit raw tomato tasting for me - not a developed broth with saffron and layers of flavor as I expected. The fish and seafood were cooked just right and tasty. My husband ordered the short rib and it was tasty and had alot of flavor. We don't quite understand this restaurant as they appear to cater to special events, but are open a couple nights a week, so there are drawbacks. Wine is sold by the bottle - only ONE brand by the glass. I'm not sure we will be back due to the price not relative to the overall experience.

This an overall awful experience! I had heard so many wonderful things about The Lakehouse that I chose this restaurant to celebrate Easter. What a mistake. It was clear they were not able to keep up with the food on the buffet to the point, I stopped trying and settled for being hungry. The small amount of food I was able to scrape out of the pan was cold and tasteless. I wish I could say the service was great because it too was slow and painful. Not good. We had to order food later in the day. We were not the only table to hear “I’m sorry” during our visit. They clearly were not prepared for the day. We will not be back and it is a shame because the view is spectacular.

We reserved a table of 7 for Easter Sunday brunch, and we were seated upstairs, which would have been fine, but the buffet was located downstairs only, and we were not notified of this until we were seated. The table and view were beautiful upstairs, but my husband has trouble with stairs, and the restaurant has no elevator. Otherwise, the food and atmosphere was wonderful.

We needed time away...perfect place. With a couple of glasses of wine, appetizers ( Scallops & Wedge Salad were great...Our time away from the city was very much enjoyed. Sitting on the water & watching the sunset, listening to Alex Bosworth play & sing , made us a perfectly happy couple ! Thanks

Consistently excellent food and service, and a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately the wine list is not as inventive as the menu, but that is the only negative to the dining experience. On pleasant spring nights, both indoor and outdoor tables are available which adds to the ambiance. The salads are excellent and well-proportioned, and the entrees are beautifully presented and delicious.

The six of us had a lovely evening thanks to the service, food and ambiance of The Lake House. The service was immpecable and the food (steak, scallops, fish entrees) was delicious. The pate appetizer was okay, not great. Chocolate mousse cake was amazing. Our reservation was for 6 pm and from the 2nd fl balcony we watched the sun set while sipping cocktails. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Awesome experience and our server was excellent. We sat on the porch which was very special, but when the band inside would take a break the music outside would get very loud.
Overall great experience and value for what we paid.

Our original table was within 3 feet of the musicians and too loud to carry a normal conversation, however we were moved to another location which worked well and Helen did an excellent job taking care of all of us.

They tried to pass on a 6 dollar merchant penalty because we wanted to use a credit card. They said they had no choice. If their merchant service company is charging them this fee they should change companies or eat the cost. We won’t be eating there again.

Brunch at Lake House is delicious and fun. Celebrated my Mom's birthday. Love the Hawaiians (like a mimosa only with pineapple juice). Especially enjoyed Andouille encrusted snapper but everything was good.

Two couples planning a candlelight dinner on the Lake... how wrong we were! The restaurant took our booking without disclosing they were hosting a wedding downstairs. The parking spots were blocked off, and our table and glasses vibrated the whole night with every thump and hump of ghetto music. There were children in the wedding party and the dining room yet the DJ continued an X rated evening of maximum volume. No one could hear or think... the wait staff took 30 minutes to bring a wine list, forgot the desserts, mixed up the drinks and everyone looked generally confused and exasperated. It is unfair to take money from two sets of people: choose diners or private wedding. Mixing them is a disaster for your reputation. Not coming back!

We made reservations here for New Year's Eve. We were not told that the restaurant was serving a buffet only. We paid $65/person for a buffet with mostly cold and dried out food. Also, the martinis were barely edible. We reported this to management and barely received an apology. We will not be patronizing this restaurant again and based on the food quality will never recommend.

The lakehouse is not only a beautiful venue but filled with wonderful presentations of food, taste and excellent wait staff. I love this restaurant - only wish it was open more days so the public would be aware of how great it is.

Happy new year.

Service not usual standard -- water and wine not refilled until requested; Christmas Eve buffet great food but a complimentary menu of offerings at table [one page xerox] or labeled items at buffet tables would have been nice, servers very willing to tell you what each item was. One less table at door would have made entry and exit easier. I'm glad we were not the tables getting bumped during entry and exit.
