The Lakehouse - Mandeville
Lunch: Thursday - Saturday: 11:00am - 2:00pm
Dinner: 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Fathers Day brunch was, of course, popular. The staff did an outstanding job and were very attentive. The weather cooperated allowing the main serving table to be located outside. Everything was quite tasty!!
We ate here for Father's Day. It was our first time at The Lake House. We sat outside on the balcony and the scenery was great. The was a Sunday Brunch and the food was very good. My particular favorites were the breakfast based foods of waffles, grits, and eggs benedict. For dessert there was a selection of ice cream or a VERY delicious White Chocolate Bread Pudding. The mimosa's were plentiful and non-stop. I would definitely recommend the brunch if you have the chance to try it. We will return.
Everything was very nice. The food and the atmosphere was excellent. I will go back and tell a friend. After dinner walked across the street to walk the lake. Very romantic place.
Food was amazing!
As always, it was great. The food was very good. The price was fair.
The Lakehouse was perfect.. the live music was great.. We celebrated my daughters 23rd Birthday and they went above and beyond for her.. Food was delicious!
This is repeat dinner visit for us. We enjoyed the evening breezes and lake views on the upper porch. The service was as you would expect, on point and the food was lovely. The Sinclairs have a knack for fine food and nice wines and this is no exception. Sunday brunch, lunch or dinner.... we like it and will return
Unbelievable location and best food ever Had brunch with my girlfriend.
Our second visit to the Sunday Brunch. Fabulous variety, with different items than were offered last month. Great omelet, waffles and carving stations. Bottomless mimosas, poinsettas or champagne all included, and a bar for those who wanted something else. Lovely day with friends
My husband and I went for Sunday brunch. The place was lively. Live jazz music playing in the background, food are delicious and all staff are nice.
Food was good. Service was at time slow. It was a Saturday night.
The host was very rude. Waitress was amazing.
The Lakehouse in Mandeville continues to deliver in every aspect of fine dining. Cayman has created a beautiful dining atmosphere largely because of the 'built in' ambiance, but also because his team is happy. They enjoy being an integral part of The Lakehouse experience and they work well together, providing great service and flavor-filled food.
The staff, Greg, Lucas, Kyle, and Helen are all super attentive and make you feel special every time you visit. Chef Hanna is skilled and (excuse the pun...) fired up. She prepares visually enticing and delicious food. Thanks again Lakehouse family for another great evening out!
Beautiful setting, had a small wedding dinner and it was lovely. The staff was attentive and the food was amazing!!
Usually have a good experience but the food was subpar this time. The filet was tough and under cooked according to my request and my family’s food was bland. However my mashed potatoes were delicious. Pretty disappointed this time around. I amped it up and left my family wondering why I would recommend it based on their experience.
Great food in wonderful atmosphere!
We had a late rsvt for Sunday Brunch and found the food was not replenished as expected. Not a lot of room to move between tables. Nice atmosphere; good food. Will give it another chance.
They had a baby shower at prime time during brunch. This made for long lines and VERY Noisy room . The ambiance would have been 5 stars if they did not book large “party” (literally )during this time. I would advise the restaurant to book such parties not in peek dining hours
Overall, experience was OK. Service was average. Took a very long time to get before dinner drinks. Extremely long time on reorder of glass of wine. Staff is college age kids. Should not be smoking electric cigarettes when idle. Looks bad,,very bad!! Food was very good but could’ve been a little hotter when served. I would expect better for this restaurant.
I am in love with the overall dinning experience from the Lakehouse! Service was on point and the food was amazing!!! It feels like a mini getaway.
The Lakehouse is wonderful! I highly recommend it!
The Lakehouse is one of my favorite spots in Mandeville. I have been going to that house to eat since I was a little girl and it was Bechac's. The atmosphere never disappoints. The food was delicious and our server was charming. It was a very busy night with a large wedding party downstairs but she did her best to keep things moving and our wine glasses full!! Overall, it was a great night out celebrating my daughter's college graduation!
Early Mother’s Day brunch with my Mom.
We chose The Lakehouse based on previous experiences in the area, and were not disappointed. The Gulf fish of the day was prepared perfectly, and the cauliflower was a great addition. The chef's special, a redfish, included the tail; it had just been delivered to the restaurant a couple hours earlier, extremely fresh. It was, however, incompletely filleted, there were quite a few bones left in it. Save room for dessert, the bread pudding is superlative.
The brunch was delicious! So many options. A great atmosphere and view. The live music was an added bonus!
Nice dinner with friends on a recent Friday evening. Great ambiance, both inside & out. Everything we had from appetizers to entrees, was delicious. Of particular note were the scallops, the bbq shrimp and the bouillabasse. Good wine list also.
We lunched at the Lakehouse before but this was our first Sunday brunch. Love the ambiance and the vibe. Very upbeat. Waitress was very attentive and our glasses were always filled. I’m not a buffet person but this was different. The stations were always filled and always clean. Food was very good and had a great selection to choose from. Will definitely return in the near future.
This is the best Sunday champagne brunch on Northshore with an excellent view of lake.
Overall we were pleased with our dinner and food items. We felt the overall dining experience was lacking due to several reasons. The wait staff being rather young were not experienced trained wait staff. Too many times they were on their cell phones - including the host - in the front of the restaurant in the view of diners. The waiter laughed when my husband asked for a NA beer - just inexperience. He also brought me a warm beer and had to ask for a cold one, which they had - just a mistake they should not make. The bouillabaisse was a fish and shrimp in a chunky tomato based broth - a bit raw tomato tasting for me - not a developed broth with saffron and layers of flavor as I expected. The fish and seafood were cooked just right and tasty. My husband ordered the short rib and it was tasty and had alot of flavor. We don't quite understand this restaurant as they appear to cater to special events, but are open a couple nights a week, so there are drawbacks. Wine is sold by the bottle - only ONE brand by the glass. I'm not sure we will be back due to the price not relative to the overall experience.
This an overall awful experience! I had heard so many wonderful things about The Lakehouse that I chose this restaurant to celebrate Easter. What a mistake. It was clear they were not able to keep up with the food on the buffet to the point, I stopped trying and settled for being hungry. The small amount of food I was able to scrape out of the pan was cold and tasteless. I wish I could say the service was great because it too was slow and painful. Not good. We had to order food later in the day. We were not the only table to hear “I’m sorry” during our visit. They clearly were not prepared for the day. We will not be back and it is a shame because the view is spectacular.
Love this place! Great for Sunday brunch with family, date night, and girls night! Great location, delicious food, always get great service & food. :)
We reserved a table of 7 for Easter Sunday brunch, and we were seated upstairs, which would have been fine, but the buffet was located downstairs only, and we were not notified of this until we were seated. The table and view were beautiful upstairs, but my husband has trouble with stairs, and the restaurant has no elevator. Otherwise, the food and atmosphere was wonderful.
We needed time away...perfect place. With a couple of glasses of wine, appetizers ( Scallops & Wedge Salad were great...Our time away from the city was very much enjoyed. Sitting on the water & watching the sunset, listening to Alex Bosworth play & sing , made us a perfectly happy couple ! Thanks
Awesome as always!
Food was great but service could have been a little better. Waitress was not always around when you needed her.
Food was amazing, staff was delightful, water view was perfect. Took a stroll along the lake front with family after Sunday brunch.
Consistently excellent food and service, and a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately the wine list is not as inventive as the menu, but that is the only negative to the dining experience. On pleasant spring nights, both indoor and outdoor tables are available which adds to the ambiance. The salads are excellent and well-proportioned, and the entrees are beautifully presented and delicious.
Everything was fantastic. The bread pudding was amazing.
Amazing service and food-always. Cannot beat the ambiance either with water views.
