Place was at capacity yet Service and food was outstanding as usual.
We were a group of 6 people, one of whom is celiac and diabetic. The Lake House staff (and particularly our server Darcy) went out of their way to accommodate the requests of our celiac/diabetic diner and in fact all of our requests. Our entire party thought the food was fabulous. Our server, Darcy, gave us excellent service and made the entire evening exceptionally fun and memorable.
Our waiter, Darcy, was great. His recommendations were the best.
The Lake House never disappoints. Food is delicious and a great wine list.
Everything was fantastic, from start to finish. The appy's were tasty, the main course was delish (we had the chicken and the scallops), and the desserts are to die for. It was hard to choose between the options. The drink menu had some very classy options for the discerning taste buds ......we had Prosecco, Scotch, and Cognac, which according to a man in the know, was top notch! This guy knows his Scotch!
It is a lovely restaurant, and I can't wait to go back!
We arrived early for our reservation of a party of 5. We requested to sit at the bar for some cocktails while we waited on the 5th guest to arrive.
Aislinn attended to the bar and I requested a popular cocktail from the cocktail list.
I was presently surprised with a very flavourful and delicious spiced rum and JagNog cocktail. The rest of the guests ordered a variety of other options. We were offered to seat at any stage we wanted to, at a beautiful table with high back chairs in front of the fireplace.
We decided to be seated shortly after that. Our 5th guest arrived and we placed our menu choices soon after that. Darcy our server was very professional and knew when to be visible with service around the table.
Both Aislinn and Darcy were providing service in a professional and timely manner through out the evening.
The chefs appetizer and entrees were presented with a very obvious love and commitment to their craft. And we all throughly enjoyed the food and dining experience.
Thank you, The Lake House Restaurant staff for a great evening.
Food was good, I would say the quality is slightly above average, with slightly above average prices. Obviously the main selling point is the ambiance and the view of the Lake. *Be warned though... They charge you $1 for water and $4 for coffee (Sunday Brunch). It feels a bit that I'm being nickle and dimed. Service was good, but again, maybe average, not truly indicative of fine dining. $11 for their Creme Brulee desert definitely steep for what you get.
Delicious!! Fresh oysters were fantastic and the mussels were divine 🤗
Charcuterie was great. Boar was dry and over cooked. The sides for the boar had no taste except for the burnt offering that was supposed to be incorporated. The burnt offering tasted...well...burnt! Turbot was nice but dry/overcoooked. The sticky toffee pudding cake was ok but not as fresh tasting as before. The chocolate mint dessert was terrible. The macron was hard inside...never experienced that before. The ‘mousse’ was not light and fluffy but very gel like. Couldn’t eat it.
Service was attentive and they tried to accommodate. Service was very good.
Excellent lake-view table was reserved for us. Excellent and non-intrusive service. Prompt and high-quality food and drinks. Reasonably-priced!
our server was fantastic, funny friendly and fabulous! koodos to him. for the cost - a little pricey considering the little food that comes with each order but the food was really good. liked the fact that you recognized our anniversary.
The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Small portions, a little bland and overpriced. The wait staff was very friendly but the whole place seemed a bit disorganized and the service was slow.
The service was exceptional and all the entrees we ordered was amazing. Would definitely recommend getting the scones!
Excellent food and good service
As usual, the lake house was excellent!
Three ladies had a very nice Birthday luncheon.A sunny lovely day the view was lovely as there was a fresh blanket of snow on the lake and surrounding homes. We had a lovely server-very attentive, professional and friendly. Our food was delicious-we ordered quiche and scallops. We ended sharing a very delicious sticky toffee pudding. Its a nice place for a special luncheon.
Its time for this restaurant to do a little updating/maintenance work..Our table had pieces of wood missing from it and I noticed the chairs need restaining or need to be replaced.
I will definitely return to this restaurant for special occasions.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the Lake House. Great ambience, excellent service and the food was exceptional.
Awesome experience. Very special and great staff. I would recommend this restaurant for quality, service and special ambiance.
It was so cosy and intimate. Great drink selection. The service was impeccable and all the food was tasty. My only suggestion is that they add cheese to the amazing charcuterie board as it was great but would be even better with cheese.
It was our wedding anniversary & they greeted us with a glass of sparkling wine which was very nice.
Service was excellent. The room was a little cool as they kept the doors open (In October!)
We shared a cheese plate at the end of our brunch, the cheese was very cold so the ‘creamy’ Brie was hard, the manager explained that by law cheeses has to be kept in the fridge.
We would recommend the restaurant.
Excellent food and service. Great ambience. The items we ordered were all recommended by our server and they were incredible. The bison and turbot in the mains and the grasshopper pie in the dessert. I had put in a note while making the reservation that we were here for my husband’s birthday and the staff did make sure the occasion was special by arranging a table next to window and with the ‘Happy Birthday’ icing on the dessert. Overall a great experience. Thank you.
Was there for a birthday dinner but was not asked if it was a special occasion.
The food was amazing. I had the rib steak. Melt in my mouth. My fiancé had the bison. Also very delicious. The sommelier recommended the perfect wine. The view is gorgeous as well. Great dining experience
Beautiful restaurant with quite possibly the best rib eye steak my Wife and I ever had! Service was top notch as well!
It is a wonderful top notch restaurant in SE Calgary. A real treasure.
Nice meal. Quiet great for conversation.
Our server was amazing! The food was incredible! They switched up my reservation to a much larger one with ease and had everything ready for us when we all arrived. Would definitely recommend!
Disappointing quantity and quality for appy’s got 3 small Ravioli and were pretty rubbery, definitely not fresh. Would have guessed it was microwaved, but was also Luke warm, almost cold. Not much flavour either. For $19 expected a bit more.
The other was the mussels, only got about 10 and was supposed to be a cream sauce that really seemed more like warm milk with zero flavour, $17 for that.
I don’t mind paying more if it tastes good and is fresh. Appys were neither.
Main meals were tasty, but very small portions.
Glad we asked for bread (you have to ask or you don’t get bread). Wine selection was good and service was outstanding.
The views were great, but I doubt we will return anytime soon.
Cozy and warm with a jovial buzz about. The quality of the ingredients shine through in the top notch preparation of the dishes. Staff were friendly and on the ball, no waiting for attention nor receiving too much.
The ambience was relaxing, the lake is beautiful to look out to. Service was outstanding not too rushed and timing was perfect on each course.
We will definitely be going back to try more of the amazing menu.
Feature entrée Elk Tenderloin just melted in your mouth.
Over all one of the top restaurants in Calgary.
Excellent food and service
Scenic view best meal out we have had in Calgary! Darcy our server did an excellent job! Would definitely go back!
Only suggestion need more comfortable chairs
Such a lovely restaurant in an expected place. Great service and great food! We will surely go back for more!

For at least the past six years we have celebrated a friend's birthday every late September at the Lake House. We wouldn't go anywhere else. The views are magnificent with the trees turning colour. The food is always first class. This year was more crowded - good to see - and our waitress was exceptional. No one could be disappointed having any type of occasion there.
The Icelandic Cod was wonderful! Rib-eye steak was decent. Lemon dessert (ice cream with berries) was delicious! Great wine. Lovely setting on the lake, wooden floors and big fireplace.
The LakeHouse is our go to restaurant for date nights. The staff are always friendly and the food is amazing! We highly recommend this venue for a night out or for hosting a special event like a wedding or corporate function!
A perfect evening and oasis! Fantastic service and good!
Beautiful setting, service was good. Gluten free options very limited, No dedicated fryer, no gluten free buns/bread for sandwiches - many gf bakeries in Calgary - no excuse
Very good food
Delicious food. Great service. Beautiful view. What more could you want?
Good food. Wonderful atmosphere.
