The KnightLight Tavern
Pretty dead in the place. The food was pretty good but over priced for what you received. The wait staff was exceptional.
Best pasta I've ever had!! and the waitress was so nice and friendly already planning to go back
My wife has the salmon and it was amazing. Son had the chicken fried steak and it was way big. I had the chicken topped with cheese and bacon with a siracha bbq sauce. It was ok. Could have had more sauce.
The waitress was awesome. Recommended nice bottle of wine based on our preference. Food was very good with large portions.
We had 7 people in our group and made a reservation and were seated immediately and served rather quickly. The food was wonderful.
This was Valentine's Day Dinner. The meal was delicious. The dessert advertised Sir Lancelot Mousse was fair. We were thinking the music would be soft and romantic. Absolutely not! The singer performed tear jerkers that we anything but romantic. The music was extremely loud and became louder every song. We asked our waitress to hurry with our ticket so we could leave. We are locals and frequently eat at this restaurant and was totally disappointed.
One of my favorites! A must if u r viditing Jefferson
Wonderful, as usual. I guess we’re considered regulars by now. Whenever we go, it’s like going home. We have our favorite waitress (Holly) and Chef Mike and the owner, Richard always come out to speak to us. Yes, The Knightlight Tavern is the best!
We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was outstanding. The only setback was I found my ribeye to be a bit tough. Would go again though.
A surprise find in charming historic Jefferson, Texas. One would never suspect from the
outside what a dining and entertainment treat awaits on the inside. This is a find we will return to.
I always have and always will love the Knightlight Tavern. The best place to eat in Jefferson! It’s very hard to eat anywhere else when we’re in Jefferson, knowing The Knightlight is open.
Great food and service. Would definitely recommend if visiting from out of town as we were.
Was a recommendation of our Bed and Breakfast hosts. Service was awesome, staff was friendly. Ribeye was perfect but the Shrimp and Grits was even better. Went on a night with some live music, it wasn't too loud which was just right.
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner celebrating our 45th anniversary and the live music made it extra special.
We came for a birthday dinner and had a really nice experience. The waitress was very good and the owners even came by the table to check on us!
The whole experience was great and the bartender, Misty, was awesome!
We had a wonderful time! Shinar and the band were great! My only complaint is that my white russians did not have enough vodka in them. I should have mentioned it to the waitress. Otherwise, it was a fantastic time!
We were disappointed in the quality of the food. My wifes steak which was ordered medium well was delivered rare. My stake was ordered rare was delivered medium. The service was just okay.
Overall exceeded our expectations, food good, wait staff a little undertrained.
We went there on the recommendation of a coworker for my wife's birthday.
To our surprise, the decor is far different inside from the exterior.
The food was fantastic and service was as well. Our server was local and knew we weren't. She took the time to bring us brochures about the town and tell us about the upcoming events. We were very impressed with this young lady.
Overall a great experience.
Food was great wonderful experience Wine selection was good for all wine drinkers. Neat place in wonderful Jefferson Texas
Very good food! Great service! Loved it! Rare gem!
There are not a lot of options for dinner on a Monday night in Jefferson.
Fortunately KnightLight tavern was open. The food was good and the staff friendly, attentive, and as a bonus informative about Caddo lake.
Went there for our anniversary. The food was great. The waitress was awesome and the high school guys playing the music were great. The mix of 80s rock was awesome.
We were in Jefferson for our wedding anniversary and chose to have drinks and dinner at KnightLight Tavern. We had the large dining area all to ourselves which made the evening special. The food was outstanding.
Started with a reserved table close enough to bad yet able to enjoy talking also , had a wine flight first , all were wonderful , waitress was terrific and helped on decision making and , main entree was delisious, the Band was terrific , and friendly and even plan to see the Birthday Boy a tshirt , would def. do again . :)
My wife and I went here for our date night on New Years Eve. It was totally worth the reservation. The food was great. You get adequate courses for the price and the quality is on par. Great selection of beer. The ambiance reminded me of dining during the evening in southern Germany. We will be back.
FANTASTIC FOOD AND PEOPLE !!!! Definitely recommend to everyone.
We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner. Food was very good and the staff took good care of us. Thank you for thethe experience we had fun
Food was good. Service was slow. Music was great and wine was good.
Foremost, the food is delicious! The decor is unique. Often have live music of good quality. Good selection of beer and wines. Always a good choice.
We had a lovely evening...it was my husband's birthday, and we just wanted a cozy place to have some wine. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this tavern offered flights of wine for tasting! For twelve dollars each, we had one red and one white flight (6 glasses all together) and we enjoyed sipping and talking. For a while, there was love music, which was a little loud in the small room, but when that ended, we were better able to converse. Also, the tavern is decorated to look "medieval" and the loud country music was a little incongruous. The wait staff was friendly and extremely helpful...and the final tab was small. We will definitely go again!
I was very surprised with the quality of the food, and I would highly recommend the resturant for a date night or special occasion!
The server was very engaging and truly interested in our experience. She had the table setup for us and was attentive throughout our meal. She had several recommendations that were well within our price range. I chose a bottle of house wine, pork chop and desert and my wife chose the pasta with a desert. Both had good presentation and very favorable.
This reservation was booked on a whim. It was a very good choice.
A friend and I ate here on a Friday night, we both got different specials (Fillet and Chilean Sea Bass) and both enjoyed our dinners very much. The service was superb, the live entertainment good, but according to my friend the wine could have been better (she tried three different ones and settled on the third but really wished it ha been better as well). I must say the waitress was very accommodating regardless. Will definitely go back even thoughh it's a bit pricy (my bill was $60.00+ with dinner and two drinks, not sure what my friend's was).
We dined on Valentine's Day. Although they had a limited option 4-course meal, the food was great and the service was excellent. Well worth the hour drive from Shreveport, LA.
This place is incredible and so is Jefferson! A must and a hidden gem for everyone coming to this historic town. The best!!!!
My sister and I met in Jefferson for a weekend visit and thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. It is a great place for girlfriends, couples, or groups. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful. We had never been before but we WILL return because the steak was superb!
The Knightlight Tavern has a medieval theme. Some people may turn their nose up at that, but you really should go. I'm a working cowboy, and I went the first time because that's where my wife & her sister wanted to go, so I was out numbered! I'm glad I went; been there three times since and never had a bad meal there. Great stone-baked pizzas, steaks and the best burgers you'll ever have. My favorite is the Dragon Jalapeno Cheeseburger. Waitress Keri has served us every time we've been, and she's the best! The owner, Richard always makes an appearance to check on his customers. They're only open for supper during the week, but they open at 11 a.m. on Sat. Live music on Fri & Sat nights, and what I love about that is that it's not so loud you can be in the room where they're playing and still have a conversation across the table without screaming. And the seating! These are the most comfortable chairs I've ever sat in in a restaurant!!!! Overall, with the excellent food, staff and ambiance, this is the most relaxing and comfortable place I've ever been to.
For a small town restaurant this was okay. My steak was very over done, I asked for medium rare and it was well done, I should have sent it back! The restaurant does have a nice ambiance and my husband's salmon was done to his taste.
