The Knife Restaurant - Doral Ratings and Reviews
I arrived 10 min before my reservation at 8:30 and I had to wait another half hour to be seat. The waitress was super nice and friendly. The food was good but they serve you small portions of meat and you have to do the line every time you want more. The salad bar was excellent but sometimes they take too long to refill the empty plates.
It was my first time ever eating at this restaurant A group of 12 of us went to celebrate a birthday. Our waiter Donatello was amazing. Very attentive and helpful. The salad bar was a mix of different salads. They were Mediterranean themed and not something I am used to so I wasn't very impressed, and didn't like very many of them (which is why the low rating). Out of the entire salad bar there were maybe 2 salads that I liked. They do also have a small fruit section on the salad bar.
They did have a large variety of meats that you could choose from. Some were a little dry and overcooked, possibly from being under the heat lamp for too long. The guy that was carving the meats asked me if he could give me his choice of meat, which turned out to be one of the best cuts of meat that I have ever eaten (not sure what it was). Very tender and juicy.
For the price its not bad, all you can eat meat, if you like that sort of thing. It is the same amount that you would pay if you go somewhere and order an appetizer, wine, main course, drink and dessert. Tip was not included and extra.
The worst experience of my life. we got there at 9:30, I had a reservation, we released at the table and never see the waitress. They did not put water or nothing on the table, every time we needed something we had to stand up of the table like crazy to find someone to help us. Finally we eat and nobody came to the table to offer the desserts, again to seek the waitress for the whole place. When she came I ask her what's happened why the service had been so bad, she told me was to many customers and not enough staff. Can you believe it ??? Finally we received desserts ACCOUNT ??? No, more that 10 minutes waiting to being charged, in the end we had to call her. We paid $ 105.00 per 3 people was my birthday and was the worst night of my life.
If you want to eat a lot for little be of mony these is the place, the picaña was really good, the morcilla chorizo chinchulines as well, be carefull with the ternera, too grease and the mollejas too hard!! The people on the grill super friendly as our cerver too, need to work on desert!! Not really good
This was to be a birthday celebration for two of my friends--I made the request on the Open Table reservation. No acknowledgement whatsoever. The waitress did not speak "any" English--thankfully there was a Latin in the group who could translate. The waitress pretty much ignored us and the place was bare of customers! The salad bar was horrible and the meat presentation on the grill was worse! The meats were dried out and not at all appetizing. We had to move because there were flies that would not leave us alone! I will say the desserts were very good--asuming you like Dolce de Leche, because every dessert was made with it. I was so embarrassed to have selected this restaurant for a birthday celebration!
