Went for Father’s Day Brunch with friends. Food was very good;portions are generous. Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch! The Knick is reliable and fulfills expectations?
The staff was very courteous, despite needing space for a busy luncheon crowd. We had not seen our friend in awhile and our get-together stretched into almost two hours. Love this restaurant.
Always a favorite. Never disappoints. Great food.
Usually enjoy this restaurant. This time, for whatever reason, something was "off', not sure if it was the kitchen or the server, probably the server. It took a little more than 30 minutes to get our food after we ordered and when it arrived it was luke warm, further, two special requests had not been fulfilled, an extra order of toast and a side of fruit, not very complicated requests! Tofu scramble was a disappointment, lacked flavor and was little more than plain tofu cubes mixed with some veg.
Waitress was very attentive and even had our cocktails remade since they were watery.
Food was alright. Much better brunch food available nearby for comparable cost.
Be aware there are a good number of families and kids at this location due to the connected hotel. Screaming babies not exactly what I like to experience during brunch.
Great tasting food and good service
Food was just ok. Dining room nothing special. Part of Downtown Dining.
Restaurant was busy but we were seated immediately (had reservations). Food was very good; service was excellent.
Hummus was delicious! Followed by a spectacular salmon salad, with a perfect vinaigrette. Finished the meal with a flourless chocolate cake! Service was prompt and attentive. I recommend getting a reservation.
NOT the first time.....every time we go we have a lemon drop drink and shrimp and lamb sliders.
Love the atmosphere and is always yummy! We are never disappointed!
Ordered a steak well done came to me not well done. Told the waiter she took it back to the chef came back and still was. Not well done. Would never go here again in my life!
Tasty food - though I loved their old menu. Great apps. Tater Tots are a must have.
This place is amazing highly recommend! Came here for Saturday brunch and couldn't of been happier it might be my new favorite spot in Milwaukee honestly. Food was very reasonably priced even with the generous portions. Once again highly recommend you will not be disappointed 😀
Had a really great experience with Downtown Dining this evening, and we'll definitely be back soon for Happy Hour, Brunch, and Dinner. Would recommend the Buffalo wings, Brussels sprouts, Salmon, and BBQ pork shoulder!
Food was great. We went during downtown dining week. Good value for the price. Be sure to go for Sunday brunch during summer and sit on the veranda - lovely!
The Knick is consistently good. It was very crowded for Downtown Dining which made conversation difficult. The salmon salad is always great, as is the mushroom barley soup. The rolls were hot when they came to the table. Yum!
I had not been to The Knick before so I thought I'd try it during Restaurant Week. The food was very good--generous portions and tasty. It was quite crowded. I was seated in a dark corner, not my favorite (single women get this treatment alot). I moved myself to the table next to me to get into the light rather than ask to be moved.
Service was good until I asked for a bag to put my leftover food box in. The waitress did not bring it even though I asked three times. I got it from the maitre d, at last.
Overall a good place. I will return to try dinner some time.
Delicious! I had the hummus appetizer which was over-the-top yummy. I like hummus but I loved their hummus. I also had their chicken pita open faced sandwich which was the best. I would definitely order both again. My client loved her food so much, we are scheduled to come back next month for our meeting.
Consistently delicious food with excellent service in a high-end setting. Great value, also.
delicious and well served, location is pleasant too, accessible
Wait Staff were great, especially the bartender. However, the management established an idiotic rule of not being able to put tables together on the patio to accommodate group of 6 people. We ended up waiting for almost an hour until one 6-people table was available on the patio.
we had a delicious dinner of tuna tartar and chicken pita along with the burrata for an appetizer and the September 7th dessert. It was all fantastic and that cakes rocks. I did have two issues though. One was that the floor looked dirty with alot of paper and debris on it, it just kind of gave a bad impression when you first walk in and it really should have been cleaned.
The second issue was across the room in the bar there was a birthday party going on and it was very loud with laughing and kind of disrupting. I'm not suggesting that anything was wrong with that but maybe a curtain or something to separate the bar from the restaurant just to provide some privacy for diners who don't want to hear it.
We had lunch and did not receive our food for 50 minutes from the time we arrived very hungry. We were told there were a lot of delivery orders. I would think that they would first take care of the in house patrons who were sitting in a half empty restaurant??
Very nice restaurant and good food. We had a party of 9 to celebrate graduation and all members enjoyed the food. Cocktails were very good also. Reasonably priced with great service.
Came in for Brunch with a party of ten after our son’s college graduation. The service and food were great!
Great food and service! We loved the Sunday Brunch
The food was delicious and the portions were large. Our waitress was fabulous and the valet parking attendant was on point. Highly recommend the Knick for brunch.
The Knick brunch was just fabulous. It was a great capper to our anniversary weekend in Milwaukee. The service was fantastic and the food superb.
Met up with a couple of friends here for Saturday brunch- lots of 2 hr street parking nearby (it was a little chilly out so this may have helped). Food was really good and had great portions. Would definitely go back!
Wonderful weekend brunch with different and great items. Service is excellent. In summer patio is really nice.
I came here with my family for Mother’s Day. Our server was very friendly and professional. The food was tasty.
Slow service. When we arrived at 5, the restaurant was about 50-60% full on Mother's Day. We received our entrees at 615. Painful to wait that long. Lipstick stain on water glass. Cold temperature when we arrived at table. Server told manager, improved. Wanted dessert, but just had to go - too long. Disappointed as we used to visit restaurant frequently in the past. Not a good experience, especially given the occasion.
Only drawback was being seated next to a column that felt a bit closed in. Great service, good food, but potatoes are deep fried, not pan fried.
This was a great restaurant for a date with my girlfriend. It was fairly quiet and worth it for the meal. The location and time suggests fancy dress, though it would be acceptable to wear something a little more casual.
It took a long time to get our food, but our waitress told us right away that this would be the case because a big group had half again as many as they had reserved for. It was lovely out on the patio, and had we not had theater tickets we wouldn't have minded at all. As it was, we had to rush a bit.
The servings were huge, especially the French toast. It would have been enough for all four of us, eight big pieces on a serving platter. Perhaps the order size could be cut in half.
Food took close close to hour to arrive, even when tables ordered after us. This small restaurant can’t handle large volumes, so they shouldn’t offer extra seating outside or have large parties
Very good burgers! The cocktails were also outstanding! Our server was kind, and excellent. Would highly recommend!
