Angie was excellent!!!
Went for brunch--service was great but food very mediocre -benedict w crab cakes--very tasteless c cakes; Brioche French toast was justthick dry bread with very little egg and viscous fake maple syrup...wnt eat brunch here again!
We have been to The Knick a lot but never had brunch there and we were so happy we tried it. The food was great, the staff was exceptional and we will definitely be back to brunch again!
Our waiter Nick at The Knick was outstanding! Great service, advice and conversation. Thanks for delicious dinners and dining experience!
A go to. We are never rushed and the food and service is top notch. One of our favorites.
have dined here before, even during the pandemic. Felt host could have been more attentive to our needs, mainly getting us water and a server. While drinks we well executed, slow to arrive at the table, swift at the bar itself. Server I think forgot about the soup course, which entrees came out almost immediately after the soup. Nick was certainly kind and attentive. we appreciated getting to our 8pm concert on time.
Great place, ;location wonderful, our waitress was spot on.
Very fun place, great atmosphere for an old school hearty Sunday Brunch. We went here for a family birthday and really loved it. The food was amazing, very flavorful and interesting takes on classics. Bloody Mary was outstanding. We highly recommend The Knick for the best brunch in Milwaukee!
Will be back! Highly recommend, and our server Nick was great.
We love sitting on the patio. The food and drinks were good but not remarkable. Our server was in Day 3 of working there and it was her first brunch - she wasn’t very familiar with the menu but we were not in a hurry and we all figured it out together. I don’t ding the restaurant for this, it just wasn’t a five star experience.
Food was cold. Came out at different times. Waitress not attentive
I believe most restaurants have not maintained the food quality it had prior to Covid and this is one of them unfortunately. The service was great but the food quality was average. Not terrible not great just acceptable. I’ve eaten there many times and tried several of the dishes I have ordered in the past, wasn’t up to par.
We were very impressed with our dining experience at the Knick. Service was excellent. We shared a delicious Mediterranean salad, My wife had a superb halibut dish on special and I had the tender and flavorful short ribs. We'll be back soon.
It’s just really dark inside. Fine for a romantic night I guess. But with no patio dining on a warm summer night..it seemed counter intuitive. But we stayed because I love the wine selection and starters.
one of a few restaurants open for Labor Day. Restaurant was humming along with staff doing a great job greeting, serving and creating the food. My spouse and I had the Cobb Salad and Ahi Tuna BLT. All delicious and fresh. Thanks, Nick, for your attention.
Great service, great food and a delightful location just across from the lake.
Had a great brunch with my Dad and his partner. Thank you!
The Knick is always a great place to enjoy brunch on a patio. Our server was amazing and attentive!
You can’t go wrong at The Knick…always have a reservation, though.
Food and drinks were excellent, lighting was dim but pleasant. Server was attentive and kind.
amazing place! great food, wonderful servers, awesome part of town. our first time here and we will be going back.
Turkey burger- dry, thin. Unsatisfying. Blackened shrimp on Mediterranean salad: 3 shrimp. They were large and tasty but 3 shrimp is simply unacceptable. I really was disappointed!
Extremely average food with great service. Will not be going back simply because it was nothing special, but it was not bad!
Always loved the Knick - but not this time. Seated outside which was nice beautiful night. Waited 20 minutes for a sever fine we understand no hurry. Server came took food and beverage order……. 20 minuets later now waiting 40 min for a beverage? Seems a little long but ok - then our food came out immediately after we got our first drink. Still understanding service issues but then our food was awful. Every dish. Ribs and fries cold. Shrimp tacos cold but had plenty of crispy French fries inside had to eat with a fork because they were soggy and just fell apart - apparently they must fry shrimp and fries together. Our guest ordered the special vegetarian ravioli. It looked like ravioli soup floating with frozen peas and carrots. So sorry to say all of my build up to eat and drink here was extremely disappointing. We never even offered another drink. So all the service issues I get but to get 3 bad meals from a place that use to be so delicious was truly a disappointment. Would not recommend going there
We love eating here whenever we’re in Milwaukee. Great setting, expansive outdoor dining area, perfect location.
Second trip here for lunch. Herb marinated chicken breast was delicious. Perfect portion for lunch. Still thinking about it today.
I'd recommend The Knick enthusiastically to anybody who's in the mood for lunch. It's always very inviting, welcoming, and the food is terrific. My shrimp salad (a special that day) was outstanding, and served efficiently by a smiling server who took an interest in us. It's turned into my favorite place to eat lunch-- dinner, too-- in Milwaukee. And this continues to be the case even though I've moved to Madison.
Asked for outdoor seating. Was notified upon arrival that my party (6) was too large. Noticed there were tables of 6 outside.
We have always enjoyed meals at the Knick. Especially on their porch in the summer. This is the second time we've had a meal there where the service has been lacking. I understand that many places are having staffing issues and am sympathetic. However, we felt lucky when we were finally waited on after sitting for half an hour without even a glass of water. The food that came out of the kitchen was very good but the waitstaff is stretched way to thin.
Nice place for date night. We've gone to the Knick on several occasions and it never disappoints.
The Knick: Milwaukee classic, sensational ambiance and outrageously pleasant happy hour, best in town in my opinion. Never have I ever been let down here. Amazing. Thanks!
Our server was great, but there was another server who sneezed (somewhat internally) a few times with no mask that made me a bit uneasy. We understand that mask mandates indoors are no longer in play, but in this pandemic environment it is uncomfortable to see someone sneeze repeatedly without a mask. If this server was suffering from allergies (or whatever else makes a person have a reaction) I wish they would have thought about the customers and just put their mask on. This was only the second time we have been out to a restaurant since the pandemic, so perhaps I am a bit sensitive to all of that. Other than that, the food was great, but the cocktails were not so great. The cosmopolitan was extremely sweet. We used to go to this restaurant on a regular basis, so we remember what the cosmopolitans used to taste like and therefore noticed the difference. Overall, I would totally dine here again (or takeout/delivery).
Service was very slow to start. Once I flagged down a server and she agreed to take our order after 20 minutes of being seated with no water or menus she gave us good service.
had their Sunday brunch menu. drinks were very good and reasonably priced. pancakes were very good, the quiche was a mess though. the outside crust was burned and the cheese on top sat way too long under the broiler but the interior was still watery and while I found a few mushrooms there was nothing else, and because the interior had not been properly cooked the bottom crust was nearly a paste.
The Knick consistently serves fresh, delicious food, with plenty of options for all diets. The outside covered-patios are great for people-watching and enjoyable dining. The service was a bit wonky the day we ate there, but otherwise, it is usually very good. All in all, The Knick is one of my favorite and most reliable restaurants.
Took a friend out to breakfast & sat outdoors. We literally waited 30+ minutes for someone to take our order. Servers walked past us as if we were invisible! I finally went in & asked about it.Then also a long wait for our food to appear. My friend asked if the chef could add ham & cheese to her scrambled eggs & was told the chef doesn’t like to vary from the menu & won’t take requests!
This was quite disappointing because i’d dined at the Knick all weekend without any issues- with food & service being impeccable!
Don’t understand what happened last Sunday.
We tried to walk in for lunch but were told that there was no possibility for a table for those without reservations. Walked out to street, made reservation, returned and were seated. Many good menu choices but service, though friendly, was lacking. We were never asked if we wanted more water (we did) nor if we wanted more coffee (we did). We were served the wrong items. It was corrected but without much apology other than, “Oh, dear”. Food was good.
Very pleasant atmosphere near Lake Michigan, had the Cajun Tilapia, do not regret the value I got for this particular dish, very well seasoned
Service was excellent and attentive
Their Cucumber Lime Sangria was very pleasant
Friend has the NY Strip, slightly over for medium rare but very well plated overall
Definitely would return but a little pricey for a regular destination for dinner
Great value and patio experience. A regular who has NEVER been dissappointed.
Food and drinks were mostly great... One fish portion was not as advertised (Halibut portion small and brussel sprouts were nonexistent) ... otherwise Burger and Cuban Sandwich plates were perfect.
Love this place. Great decor attentive service and delicious food and drink. Killer happy hour. A Milwaukee gem.
