Food was fresh, delicious and plentiful, and the staff, was super friendly! Reservations are recommended, but they were able to seat us right away on a busy Friday evening before a Bucks game!
Sunday brunch and Friday evening visit won’t be our last! When visiting Milwaukee-Definitely give the Knick a try, It won’t disappoint!
Love the vibe at the Knick! Food is creative and delicious. Had the Cuban sandwich and spicy shrimp happy. Would go back and order the same again!
Valentines Day dinner with my spouse of 29years
One of best brunches in town. Never disappoints!
A little loud.
Could live without the television
Overall a good 1st visit
We will return.
Our service was prompt and professional. We were given a table by a window making the meal extra fun...watching people. The food was ample and delicious!
My son’s 18th birthday, also joined by my daughter and her boyfriend who both attend Marquette University. The Knick is a long-time family favorite, as it is always excellent in every way. Brunch menu has something for everyone. Server was upbeat and helpful. Food was excellent quality, nice portions. and really a good value. Ambience is great as always. Just a great experience for a special occasion or an everyday meal.
Great service, food , and drinks. Parking was an issue.
Excellent meal, we all had the halibut. Waitress was very good too
Everything was great! Everyone in our group of 6 loved their food.
The Cafe is elegant yet relaxed enough that on the coldest day of the new year people were at ease with heavy-duty gear, jeans, etc. The Brunch menu is not extensive but carefully curated. The salmon omelette ($14) was excellent. Service on a busy Sunday was outstanding. I made an online reservation and recommend that.
Our reservation was for 7 pm. We arrived just a bit early and seated promptly. We had some friends join us just for a drink so the host asked if we could move to a larger table in the bar area, which was fine. But then it seemed they forgot about us. Took almost 30 minutes to get our drinks, another 15 before they took our dinner order. Finally had our dinner served about 90 minutes after our arrival. After my husband went to search for someone to serve us they seemed to do much better in terms of checking on us and getting drink orders (more friends joined us later in the evening). But it was a bit odd how long it took initially. Otherwise a fun evening.
The ambience here is fantastic! It was happy hour time frame so a lot of people and noisey, but annoying. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Its very dark at the tables and hard to see the menus. I had to use the light on my phone. I would reccomend a candle of sort on the tables. The food was really good. My mom had the pork chop it was very tender. The only negative thing about it, is that it comes with s cherry glaze, which IS excellent, however, it also is over the potatoes and green beans etc etc. I had the herb chicken. Excellent. We also had the Creme Brulee, yum! Looking forward to dining here again. So many more things to try. Almost forgot, the brussel sprouts are a MUST have try!
Our server was excellent! The food was very good. The only critique is that there was too much butter on the scallops dinner that took away from the flavor of the scallops. Everything else was very good.
The food at the Knick is always very good. I enjoyed the crab hash dish. The toast was excellent. Coffee is also very good. Hubby had the polish sausage and eggs and liked it. Generous serving of meat too. Nice cosy place. Our server was very pleasant and helpful. I’ve only eaten breakfast here, but plan to try it for dinner sometime.
Server able to split the meals in the kitchen with nice presentation on both plates. You would never know each player wasn't it's own meal.
the whole dining experience was wonderful. from checking in was a breeze, wait time was minimal, food was excellent and priced right, no rushing of getting us out of the restaurant, very relaxing. Highly recommend
Came here for New Year's Eve dinner. From the drinks to desserts everything was absolutely delicious!
New Year’s Eve. My wife and I enjoyed our meals, the service was excellent and we got out before the craziness began!
Noise level was loud but only because the awesome band was playing live! Overall this is our go to spot 🌟 ⭐️ 🌟 ⭐️ 🌟
Had dinner with my son and we enjoyed a tasty dinner with dessert. The appetizer special was delicious, well-presented and original. Dinners were well executed versions of classics. Service was friendly and drinks were good. We'd definitely return!
This is our go-to spot for dining. Versatile menu. Great service. Love the ambience. Had the best booth in the house for the first time. That was great. Lovely decorations displayed for the holidays. All of our entrees were very good. And so were the salads and soup of the day.
Was seated right away was greeted with friendly people food was very good. We had a great time.
Love The Knick but don't like the light level since the outdoor dining area was covered...making it very dark in the restaurant.
Came to have brunch at one of our favorite restaurants. We can recommend the croissant sandwich and the biscuits and gravy. Great service and great food. Be sure to come for brunch.
Always good food and exceptional service.
We have never had an unsatisfactory meal there. Good place for a date or small party.
Food was good with nice variety of offerings. Moderately priced especially for the portions which were pretty big. It is pretty noisy if you’re looking for quiet intimate setting and not wanting to talk loud and be able to hear. Great happy hour with good prices on variety of drinks and appetizers. Will go back.
I've never had a complaint before. As always the food and the service were superb. But I guess I haven't been there since they covered the outdoor eating area and it was very dark in the restaurant. I suggested they turn up the lights and they explained that covering the outdoor eating area had made the restaurant much darker but they didn't turn up the lights.
The Skate Wing was terrible. Bland and oily. The Calamari was over fried and tasteless. The burger was dry. Not a good experience. Very disappointing.
Ana rocks! Pleasant and efficient service. Attentive!
This was my first visit at The Knick and I brought my daughters for a pre-opera spotlight dinner that was held nearby. Everything was lovely - the dinner, the service and ambience and vibe of the place. I will definitely return.
I've never written a negative restaurant review before -- and I've been to the Knick before and had a fine experience -- but had a poor experience at brunch this past Sunday. I made reservations for six for brunch before a Hamilton matinee. The place was packed and the staff frenzied. It took 20 minutes to get a table, another 15 for someone to come by and another 15 to get three cups of black coffee. 50 minutes past our reservation and all we had to show for it was three cups of black coffee. We were about to leave at close to the one hour mark when the food finally came. The brunch menu is almost exclusively eggs, potatoes and french toast - nothing time consuming. Our waitress was pleasant and trying her best, clearly. I don't know if they took too many walk-ins, overbooked or were understaffed. The atmosphere was just stressed on top of slow. I will probably try it again as I've enjoyed it in the past, but only if time is no object.
We have been coming to The Knick for many years. Our normally pleasant experience was much different. Albeit the restaurant was crowded, but manager Liz set a frenetic tone which made dining very unpleasant. She was literally running around and even knocked into the hostess causing a tray of water to go flying with the contents resulting in a wet diner and broken glass. She simply was not up to the task. A manager should be in control, and she was not. However, our server Anna was professional and very pleasant.
Excellent! Our food was perfect, our drinks were divine. I had the rib-eye steak medium rare, cooked perfectly. My mother had the Short ribs, so tender no knife was needed and it was accompanied by delicious vegetables in a lovely sauce. The atmosphere was intimate enough to make friends but not so close that it was intrusive. The prices are reasonable enough that you didn't feel like you needed a second job to pay for it. Being far enough away from downtown, getting street parking was not an issue. Highly recommend it!
Great place for post Fiserv forum events for drinks , snacks or full meals as kitchen open late.Food is excellent.
I know about the Knick so the only reason I would recommend is for the other visits. Service was SLOW, food was NOT very good. Just this visit.
Everything was good, they only bad thing was no French dressing for my salad.
The food was great. this was last minute decision before concert at Fiserv and we were pleasantly surprised the tuna tataki had right amount of kick and our entree of scallops bacon and Brussels sprouts was sublime. Thanks for great start to the night.
Awesome food and service
I’ve been to the Knick many times and am rarely disappointed. Had the salmon sandwich which was excellent. My son had the pork chop which was full of flavor but a little dry. My husband liked his Cuban- lots of meat included. Only problem was drinks because the bartender was very backed up. Thanks for another nice dinner!
