Love the perch fry.
We ate here a second time this summer and once again enjoyed dining on the patio. The meal was excellent. The halibut and salmon prepared well. The pork chop perfect. Wine was half price. We will come back.
Great food and service.
Everything was just perfect! Scallops were wonderful and service was tops
Food was great but the waitress spilled both drinks that my g/f ordered (one of them on her) and when we asked about what was in one of the meals we ordered, she didn't know. Overall we had a good time but those couple things drop it to 4 stars.
food and service excellent as always. A lovely restaurant and lovely food and staff.
The Knick is a fabulous place to enjoy an outdoor meal on a warm summer evening. The menu offers many choices from burgers and salads to larger entrees, and the food is delicious. Great happy hour too!
Service was quite slow, but the beautiful flowers made up for it!
Ordered a Traditional Eggs Benedict, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, and Scrabbled Eggs with fruit. In both Benedicts the eggs were over cooked and scrambled eggs came out as an omelet instead... Not the best experience...
We went to The Knick on a late Saturday afternoon and sat on the patio. It was a glorious day and the ambiance was devine. Six months ago we went to The Knick and were totally disappointed with the food. We thought we would never return but friends wanted to eat there. So, we went and I am so glad we did. The food was really good. I had the hummus appetizer and the and Brussels sprouts appetizer for my meal. Both were delicious. The others in our party enjoyed this food as well. We will go back. Hopefully we will be able to rave about the food, service and ambiance once again.
Wonderful as always. It's hard to write these reviews because I eat there about once a week...and the waitresses all know my friend's standing order. We love it there and recommend it to everyone.
My Tuna salad was excelled as were the Brussels sprouts.
Perch fry- not so good. Great portions but both people who had it said fish was not the best
My meal was a bit too greasy for my taste (had a skate wing special) but the service was great.
We go to the Knick because it is always quality food with options that appeal to anyone. Their patio is a perfect - cozy with heaters if the weather is cool. And their ice cream drinks are fabulous and feed a group!
Excellent all around. We’ll be back!
They have THE BEST Chinese Chiken Salad in town
Great food and service
Great service and all 4 meals were excellent. Can’t go wrong.
Great service, great food, great drinks. Relaxing out on the balcony!
Love The Knick. Whenever we come into town Sunday it’s the Knick for brunch. Food is wonderful. Service great. Good coffees and drinks. Gotta love those mimosas. Had crab Benedict fabulous. Friends has French toast and omelet equally great they said. You can sit on patio in shade which is nice on 85d day. Parking little challenging but have a valet on Sunday and to be expected in city and the neighborhood
The Knick continues its run as an excellent weekend brunch spot. The food and service are always strong, and the outdoor patio is comfortable with great views.
great happy hour and courteous service with good communication.
Delicious appetizers, great cocktails, excellent entrees
Eggs Benedict were outstanding along with the Polish sausage with eggs. Dining outside was great as well on a Sunday early afternoon.
Excellent waitress, best ever! We always enjoy The Knick!
The Knick is our favorite restaurant...always great food and great service.
I love coming back, every time I am visiting Milwaukee.
Great place for brunch. Tables are a little close and a bit noisy when the restaurant is full.
Father’s day brunch. ALWAYS a nice experience at the Knick. Consistently good food and excellent service.
always excellent...great food, great service...our favorite restaurant
Good selection, high quality entrees, great price. Super value. Only gripe, beer list was marginal.
Lovely night to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Incredible attention by our server, she was professional and so focused on our experience being great. Herb roasted chicken was incredible, we ate every bite. We hadn’t been to The Knick for a while, I highly recommend you make it a priority on your next tome out.
4 of us dined together during Downtown Dining. Hubby had the gazpacho, which was very good and refreshing. The rest of us had the calamari appetizer. It wasn't what I expected, I thought more of a seaweed salad, but it was very tasty, especially with the lime chili sauce. I saved what was left of that and added it to my grilled salmon salad. Everyone enjoyed their food, no complaints. For dessert we mostly had cheesecake with a berry sauce and whipped cream. It was delicious! I had a bite of my husband's flourless chocolate cake. It was super chocolately and very good. Service was pretty good and we all enjoyed our lunch. I think we were seated in the back because my husband was wearing overalls. :D But it was nice and quiet. We enjoyed seeing what appeared to be Dale Chihuly glass art in the dining room.
I have been a fan of the Knick since it opened, but haven't been able to go for a few years. Popped in for lunch during Milwaukee's Downtown Dining Week and was so happy to see that the restaurant has maintained its positive combo of good food, great location, interesting menu. Plus, special bonus: sitting outside on the veranda on a lovely day!!
Salmon was awesome, ravioli was pretty good. Smaller portion size on the ravioli and warm.
We will come back, there are plenty of other things we’d like to try.
Received a gift card and took a friend. The server was helpful and friendly and the food was very, very good. Sat outside even though it was cool - they have awesome heaters!! We got so toasty warm that we wanted ice cream drinks for dessert but the ice cream machine was out of order - the only disappointment.
First, we came because of downtown dining. I had never heard of this place, but the menu looked good so we gave it a try. Both the hostess and the waitress were cold. I actually felt like I was putting them out by being there. We hadn't finished our salads when the entree came, which was not a huge deal, just a peeve of mine. The food was very good though - the salad was fresh and crisp and the marinara was excellent, as well as the desserts. Overall, however, I don't see myself going back there. The waitress brought us our food and the bill, and other than when she checked on us mere minutes after bringing out our food, we never saw her, even when we left. We simply got up, set our cash on the hostess stand and left. It was oddly uncomfortable. Which is too bad because their regular menu looked good. Just not good enough when there are so many restaurants to choose from where I don't feel bad for being there.
It was busy because of Downtown Dining, so it took quite a long time to get our food. The waitress let us know they were very busy, so at least we knew it would be a little longer than normal. Food was excellent when it came out and I would recommend it to anybody looking for something great to eat.
I always love the Knick, but it was especially fun to do the Milwaukee Dining and enjoy dessert too!
Visited during downtown dining week. First visit to The Knick and I'll be back!
