Really wanted to like this spot. Good crowd. Fish fry was ok. Cold stale rolls. Fries were undercooked. Perch was tough. Cod was very good but really oily. Too many other spots to try before coming back here.

We’ve visited The Knick a number of times and it’s always GREAT!!! The Knick wings are a stable for us. Our waiter (I hate I can’t recall his name, but he wore a pretty pink pearl necklace) was absolutely FANTASTIC! Can’t wait til our next visit.

Had a reservation, decided to sit at the bar as we tend to be bar people and it was open. Attentive and engaging service, bartender was working hard but seemed to be excellent at multitasking as well as knowledgeable about the establishment and menu. Wife had scallops and I opted for salmon, great choices. I would return for atmosphere, service and food. Thank you.

We went with a friend for her birthday. The food was great! Our server was excellent. We got our food in a timely manner and our server checked on us regularly. We ordered the chocolate flourless cake and it was the best. We highly recommend it. We look forward to returning The Knick.

We love The Knick and have been there many times. This time we came for Sunday brunch and sat in the porch area. It was perfect for a beautiful day. There were 6 of us and all the selections except mine were very good. I ordered the crab hash and I was hard pressed to find much crab. A few flecks were mixed into a small portion of regular hash browns, hardly what I would call "hash." I had booked the reservation noting a birthday occasion. The hostess confirmed this when we checked in and I reminded the server discreetly. We didn't receive anything to commemorate the birthday. It was surprising. That being said, we will still be back.

Our family members raved about The Knick went they went there in July. Maybe they changed staff? Our steaks were, at best, average as compared to a chain restaurant. Better steaks can be found at this price point at numerous locations in Milwaukee. Potato fingerlings were not completely cooked. Demi-glace tasted slightly burnt. After hearing such good things about this restaurant, we were excited to try it out for ourselves. We were highly disappointed and will not recommend The Knick to anyone. Ambiance: Very nice looking restaurant. We were given an extremely wobbly table. Unbelievably so. The table shows an inattention to details that took away from a pleasant looking dining room.

After several visits to the Knick during the last 6 months, my opinion is that it's a beautiful place, the service is excellent, but the food doesn't meet expectations. It's good, but considering the ambiance and the prices, I expected it to be better. I should be clear that my visits have all been for lunch. I can't speak to the quality of the food at breakfast, brunch or dinner. Another important note, while the website says they serve breakfast from until 1:30, breakfast service ends at 11:00 Monday through Saturday.

Food was excellent, host was a bit rude, but our waitress made up for it with her great service and personality! The food was great; we had the grilled salmon, lobster ravioli and the best lemon cream cake ever.

My recommendation would be to stick with the apps, salads and sandwiches. Entrees have been disappointing the last several visits.

If only parking wasn’t so difficult, I would like this place better. The food was good and plentiful for brunch. Service was good. Food came quickly. They make a great Bloody Mary. If the weather is good, sit outside on the deck. But be prepared to wait. No reservations for the deck.

The food was very good and well prepared, and our server was very good. The hostess was just, let's say wrong for the job, not friendly, rude, sloppy compared to the rest of the staff which makes me wonder if this woman was filling in? Not impressed and rather turned off by the person who greets you!!!

Sat outside for the first time this year. Nice Space good service and mostly the usual great food. I tried something different (usually have one of their great salads) and was not particularly happy. Tuna Tartare was not fresh. The taste was OK but I think it was prepared ahead of time.

Had a great experience for brunch this past Saturday, Aug. 2023, at The Knick. The atmosphere was quiet enough that our table was able to have conversations at a normal voice level. The food was very good, we had Biscuits and gravy, a fruit and granola bowl, as well as a lox sandwich. We also tried a specialty brunch cocktail, Golden rush? I believe, which was very good; Irish whiskey, ginger, orange juice and more.
