Adult Birthday with 10 people. Fun!
Except for a broken heater, and outstanding place for dinner!!
Took my out of town house guest to dinner.
First - The menu on open table is not current - their website has the latest menu - big differences. Didn’t check this before arriving - and of course what I thought I would order wasn’t available
Great wine list - but they didn’t have the wine I ordered - the 2d bottle was great just a bit pricier.
duck breast entree came out cold - 2d try much better
Pork adobo was very good
Dessert was so great - potato chip pie with dolce de leche- we ordered a second to take home
Service was excellent, the bar tender and waitress really cared that we were going to enjoy what we ordered. Was great with handling diet restrictions. Don’t know why we waited so long to there the The Kitchen!
Great! Food was awesome! Perfect birthday treat
Food was very good. Prices were expensive but worth it.
We dined at The Kitchen during an "off season" day in Jackson, and that may have made the experience better since the restaurant wasn't very crowded. My partner and I had the spring rolls as appetizers, which were tasty. My partner ordered salmon as the entrée and he is still raving about how well-prepared it was. I had a rib eye with a fried egg on top, which was a delicious combination. The service was friendly but not overly intrusive. Oh, and be sure to enjoy the restaurant's happy hour - we had great martinis for $6 each! If we ever return to Jackson, we will be sure to visit The Kitchen again.
idoor space is attractive but too noisy to carry on a conversation without straining.
outdoor table was much quieter. space heaters could be a bit more numerous.
our server was capable though it seemed they were a bit understaffed
The Kitchen was highly recommended to us so our expectations were high. My wife ordered an appetizer and a starter in place of an entrée, telling our server that she would like them served together as her meal. The appetizer came out with "share" plates and nothing else. A few minutes later the starter came out with assurances that my entree would be out shortly. When my entree came out it was overcooked - duck breast. When ordering the duck I inquired about how it was cooked and was assured that it would be medium rare. It came out medium and dry. If the timing of our meals had been better I would have sent the duck back but after waiting 10-15 minutes for my entree while my wife's appetizer and starter were served (in lieu of an entree) meant the experience had already been ruined.
Good food, somewhat slow service and waiter didn’t seem
"Hip" place with decor to match. Food was quite good. While there, it seemed that the place filled up all at once with a bus load of tourists, which affected the service in the last half of our meal - inevitable, I suppose. I would still recommend it though.
While visiting Jackson Hole, we choose to dine at The Kitchen last evening. This restaurant is small inside and has an outdoor seating area. I like the intimate ambiance inside. Sam our waiter was engaging and provided great service. The manager jumped in and helped clear dishes and talked to us informing us of their other properties when we said how much we enjoyed our food. We got there right before happy hour was ending so we took advantage of this and ordered two appetizers, the hamachi ceviche and the buffalo flank steak both $10. I also had the special gin cocktail $6. The ceviche was chopped yellowtail on crispy chips. I never had ceviche served this way. It was good but a very small portion. The buffalo was served medium rare and cooked perfectly and tasted even better. This was a decent portion. It was served on some sprouts, scallions and carrots. We then ordered off the regular menu after our happy hour specials. I had the watermelon salad with feta and tomato and my husband had the tomato salad, both fresh and bright. My husband had the duck breast with snap peas & mushrooms and a scallion crepe. The duck was perfectly cooked and tasted like a steak, not greasy at all like duck can be. I had the tuna sashimi, which were five tiny pieces of tuna wrapped around chopped tuna and topped with scallions and a ponzu sauce. These were very good and fresh, but a very small portion. We ended our meal sharing the potato chip pie. This was amazing! An oatmeal crust with a butter and brown sugar filling with potato chips. A very unusual creation and delicious. I would definitely recommend The Kitchen. I don't understand the very negative reviews. I had a wonderful dining experience.
Always great -consistent good food, wonderful servers and nice ambiance
My wife and I went with two guests to Kitchen. My friends brought with them five heirloom tomatoes that they grow in a greenhouse in Jackson. They asked the chef if he would prepare them anyway he liked for the table and charge us accordingly. He prepared to wonderful dishes, one with watermelon and another infused with a rich broth. My wife an one guest ordered the Wyoming Burger which my friend will endorse at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. I had a delicious pork dish and another the shrimp. When the bill arrived the chef had not charged us at all for the tomato dishes. Wow such a surprise. Now back in New York will tell friends to go. Thank you.
Casual and local atmosphere. Attentive and responsive service.
Excellent food. My wife and I shared 3 dishes, the duck was perfect.
A very innovative menu with lots of interesting small plates. Loved it!
Great food and service!
Kitchen is a favorite. The menu is a great, I like the Asian influence and fresh local food. We sat outside on a beautiful evening with out of town friends. The spring rolls were fresh and delicious. The Salmon main course was similarly fine. My only reservation was the waiter messed up the order for my friends. He was gracious, but it was not a complex order.
Great food, nice wait staff. Overall a nice little restaurant and the experience was good. Would recommend to anyone visiting the town.
The service was great. Experienced wait staff did a great job. Everything came out to the table with perfect timing. Food was outstanding. Delicious and interesting. We sat outside and the heaters were turned on with out having to ask. Noise level outside was nice and easy for conversation while the background music was exceptional. Great evening! Thanks!
Excellent dining experience.
Best french fries I've had in a long while! And a really excellent veggie burger.
We used to come here at least twice a year for nine years during vacation. The food has certainly changed and they took off vegetarian options. I ordered summer veggie rolls which consisted of raw carrots and celery? And French fries. That was my dinner. Waitress disappeared so I couldn’t even ask for ketchup. Won’t come back here again. What a disappointment. Also, half the items on open table menu weren’t even on their dinner menu!
Food was wonderful. Salads amazing. Duck too. Lovely on the patio.
We waited over an hour and a half for our entrée and when it did arrive my bison ribeye was blood rare even though I ordered medium my wife’s was undercooked as well. In the hour and a half we were there we saw our waitress just twice even though it appeared not to be busy
I never write reviews but must.
Tiny burger on a massive bun and the salty fries were inedible.
Very high priced for what we were served.
Terrible service. Our waitress literally chatted with the table next to us for half an hour, (yes we watched the time go by), until we finally had to interrupt her to ask about our food.
Of course our meals were ready, because she had not checked on them, so nothing was hot.
This used to be a family favorite but we were disappointed this time. I honestly didn’t like anything on the menu. Goat? I think they are trying too hard. Go back to how it was. I won’t return until there is a menu change.
We had an incredible four course extravaganza. The outdoor seating was very enjoyable and relaxed. The restaurant interior design was incredible but we choose to sit outside because the weather was so beautiful. We stated with raw appetizers and shared the Beef Jinang, Escolar, and Tartado. All we light and wonderful. We move the first "salad" coarse with the Watermelon Salad, Cucumber Salad and the Mint-Tomato Dai Salad. All were great but the Mint-Tomato Dai Salad was over the top. Lots of fresh heirloom tomatoes with an incredible dressing. Would get this every time. For the main course, we had the Pork Secreto, Yellow-Fin Tuna and the Ribeye. The colorful presentation of each was a real attention grabber, the flavors and the preparation of each were perfect. Everything was so good that we finished off with wonderful deserts for an incredible meal. The service was prompt and friendly. Our waitresses' palette wasn't very sophisticated so she wasn't able to help guide us very much. However, all of the food was amazing so it wasn't any issue at all. We will go back any time we are in town.
Imaginative and excellent food, good service. Kitchen is responsive to gluten issues.
Food was very good, and Zack was a great server.
We have been to The Kitchen a number of times before and always enjoyed our experience and the ambience.
The food and service were great as usual, but we got off to a bad start when we were seated all the way in the back of the restaurant behind the fireplace with two of our party facing the wall. No ambience, or view for that matter, whatsoever.
I had a reservation and the entire restaurant was completely empty so there was no reason to be seated in the back room. I would not sit there again.
Myself, my wife and daughter were in town for three days to check out the area (just be tourists) I saw the kitchen online when I search for good restaurants around the area, I review the menu talk to with my wife everything sounded wonderful we couldn’t wait to go. Once were there we enjoyed the appetizers , dinner and especially the dessert. We purposely ordered three different entrées so we could all try each other’s and to no surprise everything was wonderful.
Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the Jackson area.
Great outdoor dining space and a nice cocktail, but the food was subpar.
Ate outside on a really nice night. Food was exceptional as always. Service was slow; seemed overwhelmed. Runner tried to deliver our drinks and food to another tableon separate occasions. No plates were provided for appetizers. Overall still one of my fav restaurants in town.
It is a fun if a bit funky eatery - unusual dishwd in odd sized portions- other tables as well as ours had a surprise on seeing a huge asparagus serving, for example.
Excellent service - nice menu, excellent Asian fusion selections - would definitely come back!
Great food and cheerful outdoor seating. The outdoor table was not well positioned for feet being under the table. Service was somewhat irregular, particularly when it was busy and we didn’t order dessert. Attention to these service areas would match the innovative food and make a good place great.
Good quality food, although consistency could be improved. Two people in our party ordered the same noodle dish, and one had a menu-mentioned ingredient left out. Manager quickly fired up another, but it was way different from either of the first two!
