Admittedly a holiday (Thanksgiving) dining experience so we were grateful to get any table, but the food was surprisingly lackluster, the service frenzied yet inattentive and details such as bread, butter and condiments recalled airline dining in coach. Had our waiter been less busy being charming and more organized, we would not have had the surprise ending of having another staff member announce that the kitchen had already closed and some of us would not be getting our dessert and coffee orders. The ambient house music was loud and often inane. We had no preconceived expectations but were nonetheless disappointed.

Food and atmosphere were top notch. The waitress was extremely rude when we explainedour party would need seperate food and alcohol checks due to work restrictions on purchases. She threw a fit and left our table and then came back, and threw a fit and walked away again several times. We have gone tomany restaurants as a work group and have never been treated poorly like this.

We went on a Sunday, before seeing a play at DeVos Performance Hall. (Play started at 6:30pm). We had reservations for 5pm, 2 people. We got seated right at 5pm. Waitress was attentive and arrived at our table quickly. We had a glass of wine, and ordered our food around 5:10pm. Our food didn't arrive until 5:45pm, and we felt rushed eating in order to be at DeVos by 6:15pm. (wanted to use the bathroom, and buy water before play started). Food was very good, we had the Pad Thai, and Salmon dish. I would eat here again, but would make the reservation for 4:30pm if play starts at 6:30pm. Would have like to have tried their dessert selection, but didn't have time. Waitress was very apologetic as to the time it took to get our food, she knew we were going to the play. Overall a good experience. A gentleman at another table had the meatloaf and said it was very good. 3 huge onion rings came with it. They looked good too.

We went there after finding the night before that we required a reservation. We were seated in a quiet area( which we needed after a hectic day). We were not rushed. Food and service were very good. We were placed between two large parties so we could hardly talk amongst ourselves and could hardly hear the waiter. Just not an enjoyable experience. Probably should have exchanged tables.

Dinner was just okay. The Shanghai Noodle dish was very salty and a relatively small serving. Ordered a bourbon on the rocks and I was charged $10 for the bourbon and an additional $3 for “the rocks.” Totally unacceptable.

We were very disappointed with our meal. My truffle fries arrived and they were cold, we sent them back and had hot ones prepared. By the time they were ready I had finished the crab cakes and could not eat the fries, they removed the charge from the bill. My daughters meatloaf came and it was cold, potatoes and onion rings were hot but not the meatloaf. Our waitress, Belle, took the meatloaf and had it redone. By the time my daughter received her meal, I was finished eating and my other daughter had finished her dessert. The manager/ supervisor walked around the restaurant, did not speak to any customers and never approached anyone, that I saw, and asked if they were enjoying their meal. For the price not worth it, we are there on a work conference next week, I don’t feel I could recommend to my coworkers.

Had a quick dinner before the symphony. Brought our well-dressed teenage boys to have a good dinner. This was casual and upbeat. Great overall experience and will be back sometime later. My husband and I had our first dinner as husband and wife and our waiter gave us a free desert which was the kindest thing ever. The food was INCREDIBLE!!!! Highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

I would not recommend this restaurant to a vegetarian. The options are salad or pizza, and the pizza was not very good. The chopped salad was very nice. The seats by the windows are very cold. The folks across from me had a nice view, but I was chilly.

The food and waitstaff were great. My only complaint is that the food always takes forever to arrive every time I dine there. We had a 5pm reservation to give us plenty of time to make a 7pm symphony. We only had entres- no appetizers or desserts, and we didn't get out of there until 6:40pm. We got to our seats at the show with only a few minutes to spare. Didn't need the stress.

We had reservations before the Ringo Star concert at Devos. Food took over 30 minutes after we ordered. Luckily, we got to the restaurant early...so we were not late for the concert... The Food was delicious.

The Kitchen is a truly fine dining experience. The small menu makes for dishes that the chefs can truly master and make delicious and memorable. The brussel sprouts were incredible. Roasted in a sweet sauce with savory bacon added made for an amazing appetizer. The New York strip steak and wiener schnitzel were heavenly. The Creme brulee for dessert was to die for. I highly recommend it.
