The Kitchen at Hard Rock Hotel Ratings and Reviews
Great brunch: good food, made to order omelets, pancakes and waffles. Most amazing sticky buns :>) Our waiter, David, was wonderful! So helpful and friendly with our group of 9. We did the same brunch here 4 years ago and had to do it again while we were at Universal Orlando. We did the upgraded brunch to include Mimosas, Champagne and bloody Marys. Great way to start out our Sunday. Thank you, Hard Rock!
Decent gluten-free options. Food was good, but not great. Service was very slow and the restaurant only had a few diners, probably because it has park prices for just an average experience. However, my family would return for a gluten-free meal as there are not very many choices in the area, besides the Disney restaurants.
I don’t recommend for Thanksgiving unless you have tons of kids. It was only buffet, no regular menu. The buffet didn’t even have that many options and like a typical buffet, it was a crowded mess. We had no idea it would be buffet only and if we had known, would have never booked. I personally don’t like buffets at all. The atmosphere for adults was awful. Noisy. People walking everywhere bumping into each other. Characters taking pictures with kids which is cute for kids I get it. Again not for adults and had we known, would have never booked it. We needed a cc to reserve or we would’ve left. So we figured ok we’ll at least it will be cheap lol. Nope $62 per person. Terrible. Lesson learned.
After looking at several places in Orlando to do Thanksgiving Dinner this year we decided on this restaurant . We looked at price , facility and menu . I had read $45 per person and reading the menu I felt it was the fairest price in town. Once arrived at our scheduled time we still had to wait 25 minutes. When finally given a table we could not even sit down because the tables were so close together and when I made the comment to hostess she just looked at me. It took 10 minutes before a waiter saw us for our drink order and another 15 minutes to bring to us. I will also note he never came back except once for refil. The selection of food was par. It was mostly salads , cheeses and fillers. The steak loin was chewy and you could not even find the baked ziti. The stuffing was horrible, no real sweet potatoes or cranberry sauce. All the food tasted salty and the salmon was just alone under a light in a corner. When I told the manger about the price I had intended to pay he did not care and when mentioned the poor quality of food and service they did not care. There feeling is they will get all the people staying at universal anyway. Not worth the $64 value and if going to hit a buffet in the future and spend that kind of money I will try Gaylord palms or to Golden Corral because the quality was probably on the same level
My family enjoyed this restaurant. The menu was diverse with fresh unique twists on many staples, without being overdone. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and the tourist destination. The service was very good - the waitress was patient with all our questions, and the evening was capped off by one of the staff showing my son some fun magic kids. My adults and children wanted to go back there for dinner again.
We were given an option between ordering off the regular menu and the buffet, so we chose the buffet. It was not good. The food was in chafing dishes that stayed covered, so everything was soggy. The desserts were displayed nicely but some of them needed to stay cold and they weren’t. We would never go back.
We were staying at the Hard Rock for our anniversary and my birthday.
The night we went for dinner our service was good, and the food and drinks were great.
The next morning we went for breakfast- Unfortunately the food was low quality and the service was actually kind of poor. It was a buffet style breakfast and usually I can go back for more than one serving. I actually chose not to go back or order any food after going to the buffet. The server was absent most of the time after bringing our drinks. We didn’t get a coffee / drink refill until the end of breakfast. Just not a good start to the day.
Oh well, we now we know to go elsewhere : (
We specifically came to the Kitchen for the character dining but it was a real let down. The two characters were woody & homer. When they had gone round once my son lost interest when they came round again. He also really wanted to see a minion. With it being universal I wouldn't have thought that sending a minion would have been too difficult? I hate to say it but this wasn't a patch on disney.
Advertised as a character breakfast between 8-11am and photographs show a range of characters. We had a reservation at 10.30am and were informed that not all breakfast foods would be available because they close it all down at 10.45. That is 15 minutes earlier than you can book breakfast in for!!! We booked specifically for a character breakfast and yet there were no characters AT ALL!!!! What a waste of time and money. I will be contacting someone for compensation for misadvertising a product. Very disappointed that universal, hard rock hotel and the kitchen couldn't deliver on what they advertise!
