The Kitchen at Hard Rock Hotel Ratings and Reviews
We scheduled the buffet breakfast with the characters. It was disappointing there were only 2 characters - Woody and one Minion.
The breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent so no complaints there. As for the cost, it was not bad considering what was offered and the resort location.
It was a bit confusing finding the restaurant. We went first to the Hard Rock Cafe, not realizing it was separate from the resort where the restaurant is actually located. The hostess told us that happens all the time, so it was apparently not just us.
We ate at the character breakfast at The Kitchen on Aug 1st. Our waiter was amazing! The Elvis French Toast was delicious! Bacon was hot and crispy. Huge selection of breakfast options. My son got his picture taken with Kevin, the minion, and Woody Woodpecker as they came around to every table. It was a great meal and we had a great time. Can't wait to go back again on our next vacation to Universal Orlando Resort.
Ate here for brunch. Food was excellent. Service was very disappointing. Had to ask for everything from the server. At one point, had to track down the server in the restaurant for a request as the server never returned to the table. If you go for brunch make sure you are early enough to go through the lines as the minute brunch ends, all of the food is removed very quickly.
The Kitchen is an amazing restaurant for breakfast !! The buffet has an various range of food such as pancakes, omelettes, bacon, french toast, eggs, biscuits, donuts, and more. Our waiter was absolutely so friendly and kind. He was very attentive to our table. The buffet was pricey, but worth it !!
We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel and had breakfast at The Kitchen everyday (very early) but dinner only once. We loved the breakfast buffet which offered many choices. Dinner was not as great. The food was very good but there was so much noise and kids running around, not behaving. This made us want to eat quickly and go, unfortunately...
A very enjoyable experience with good food and excellent choices. The only thing I would change is the character waiting time. If they came around more often it would free up tables quicker. I would recommend this experience for the food and the staff are very friendly.
We came here for the character breakfast and was very disappointed. When we got there a minion was walking through and we ddnt see another character until ty he end of our visit...same minion and gru. I thought there would be more variety of characters. It was a waste of money in my opinion.
It was my wife's birthday and I booked this for after the blue man group with the family. I intentionally did not want crap theme park food and was willing to pay for finer dinning. After a river taxi and a walk, we arrived at a half dead restaurant. I am sparing you the details but in short; dated decor, theme park food but with higher prices, slow slow service, food is just not good. (Slightly above frozen food) The burger was over cooked and the bun was stale. The flat bread pizza was bland. The salad was tasteless. The recommend chicken and waffles was dry as can be waffles with greasy dark meat. What kid doesn't eat his mac n cheese? It's a shame because there are so many scratch places to eat in orlando. This was just so disappointing and about 20 years ago overpriced theme park.
Had dinner there 3 times in 1 week and tried the breakfast buffet once.....Awesome service/staff, always helpful and smiling, great food, good variety, nice little 'kids crib ' for the children to hang out in while waiting for food or have a little quite time. My kids asked to go back to this place. Only down side...Cost of dinner food is ok but feel the buffet is a bit over priced.
We went there for Father's Day and specifically went for their breakfast buffet. We made reservations for a large party of 12 for 11:30 am and NO ONE told us the buffet ended at 12 pm. They had started closing down the buffet and told us they will start serving lunch and we would have to order from the menu. Just wished someone could have told us so that we could have went elsewhere or may have made the reservations earlier. For that, this will be our last time here and that is why I gave a low score for service. The price wasn't worth 30 mins of buffet.
Excellent service. Despite being late for reservation due to weather, the staff was very accommodating. Server Bo was awesome! He was professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The food was scrumptious. My wish of characters came true - Minion Stuart and Scooby Doo! Great experience and look forward to returning
We really enjoyed our time at The Kitchen! The four kids traveling with us had a great time in the kids' area while the adults enjoyed drinks and apps. The food was very good, and the service was excellent. One of my party had a "milestone" birthday, and the staff did a great job of making it special for us. If we're ever in Orlando again, we'll be sure to visit The Kitchen.
The Kitchen at the Hard Rock Hotel is an amazing restaurant. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is vibrant and the staff is awesome. This was my third time staying at the Hard Rock and I was looking forward to having dinner and drinks at the Kitchen. I wasn't disapointed. This was our first time having breakfast there and the buffet was crazy good.
Food was good but pricey. The tuna was very good as was the chicken wing appetizer. The tenderloin skewer appetizer was really good also. A good place to relax and have a decent meal and a cocktail especially if you are stayin at hard rock and don't feel like hitting city walk.
The server was good and the appetizers/entrees were decent, but were not great.. the cocktails were the worst I've had at a Universal restaurant (other than a failed attempt at a Vieux Carre' at Emeril's in Citywalk).. Both the old fashioned and the margaritas looked almost the same, which is amazing, and neither tasted that good.. it's a shame, because we wanted to add the Kitchen as a potential regular eatery when we visit Universal..
Family ate at Character breakfast, good selection of food in the buffet, all nicely presented and tasty. Lovely pastries and cooked food. Good service from staff clearing plates and refilling coffee etc. Children enjoyed seeing the minion, would have been nice to have more characters too. Great for a treat but think this would be too much to have every day!
