Such an excellent resort restaurant! High quality service, the food was delicious and out quickly, and excellent drink and dessert options! Craig was fantastic, and even told us stories of the restaurant itself and the famous patrons that have sat in those very seats.
Great food, and out server Roger was awesome. Cant wait to go back
Excellent food! Gluten free options available. Supervisor service.
Valeria is informative, friendly & provided quick service! The burger’s flavor was so so good. My daughter had the mac and cheese which was also very flavorful!
Amazing food, server was attentive A++++
Food was delicious and well portioned. Drinks were top notch and a great value for the price. Desserts were by far our favorites.
Ron was an incredible server and he made our daughter’s birthday breakfast extra special. Big thank you to him for his exceptional service!
Overpriced for the prime rib and drinks.
The service was very poor. The server was slow to bring everything I had to ask other workers for refills. I spent $150 and had the worst service.
Our food was not on point tonight. Allie or server and the manager on duty were fantastic and went out of their way to make things right. We will try this place again because of the good service.
I tried the vegan cabbage plate and the calamari appetizers had too much sodium. The desserts were delicious. Very nice environment. No restroom inside the restaurant. Food came quickly. Very nice place to gather with family and friends.
The Kitchen at Hard Rock was a last resort for a reservation dinner and understandably, it fell flat. The two waiters we had were confused as to why the other waiter was waiting on us and we still managed to sit with no drinks for a long time. Their real menu didn’t start until 5pm so the crab legs that I was hoping for were not available. It was kind of dark for a 3pm meal. It was clean, but sort of outdated there. I had a ceasar salad and most of my family had the grouper sandwich as there weren’t many vegetarian options. The food took so long that the manager was nice enough to come out and apologize and give the 6 of us 1 single bowl of fries. The bill was not docked for any of the discrepancies we had throughout the lunch. The Kitchen should present its real self in the online pictures instead of the pretty pictures that they are not cooking any longer.
Mother’s Day Brunch!
Simply wonderful, from start to finish! Food is great and service is on point.
We really enjoyed our 2 meals at The Kitchen, Allie was amazing and such a pleasure.
Food and service were great! Thanks to Jonathan and the manager!
This was our first time going here. My mom is in town visiting for Mother’s Day and I haven’t seen her in over a year thanks to COVID. I wanted to take her somewhere special. WOW did this place deliver! We loved EVERYTHING. The food was seasoned well and they paid attention to every detail. The fried calamari was the best we’ve tasted in a long time, not overcooked and hard and chewy like most places. It was also seasoned very well. I had the half roasted chicken that is braised in rosemary. It was amazing and not too dry! If you are wanting to go somewhere different and don’t mind spending just a little extra for stellar food, THIS IS THE PLACE!
Food was mediocre considering the cost. Service was the only thing that was amazing.
Best homemade soups ever. Dog friendly patio. Great service. Regular for years. Never disappointed. Allie, our server, is the best.
Everything was awesome
Great time, great Atmosphere, nice staff, great food!
Love The Kitchen. Best breakfast in town. Going for dinner tonight
Forgot my salad - shrimp was nothing special. The brocolini was just so só - the service was slow
Wonderful breakfast! Great atmosphere, service, and food.
Prior to making reservations we called the restaurant to ask about breakfast times. This was a 90th birthday celebration. We were told seatings up to 10:55am will accommodate breakfast. We booked 10:30am. We ordered the family style breakfast. Our server told us we need to order everything right now, they are changing grill for lunch. We spoke with management, they assured us we can get refills if needed. It worked out, there seems to be internal communication issues. As we were leaving at 12:15pm the table next to us ordered all breakfast food and had no issues over an hour after breakfast ended.
Great food, fantastic service . Been twice already this week
Good food, good drinks, nice people but soooooo slow. Nice and relaxing after a long day in the sun though.
We had a late lunch here during our last day of vacation. It was the perfect wrap up to an amazing stay! Kids and adults were both happy with the entire experience. Yum!
Thank you good food
Very cold in the restaurant. Not much meat in my entree.
Great food and excellent service. The titles of the kids items entertained the kids.
It’s unfortunate, because this used to be a great restaurant. We’ve been several times over the years and seems to keeping declining in service, food, presentation and value. Our drinks were clearly watered down but cost $16+... don’t mind paying for a great cocktail, but that is not what we received.
Salads used to be served in colanders, the Kitchen burger, used to be amazing... even had a large steak knife through he bun and fries in a basket. That’s NOT what we received. The burger was nothing special at all with a small handful of
fries on the plate. My husband ordered the seafood bolognese... only shredded particles of seafood could be found. We skipped on dessert because we weren’t going to pay for an overpriced dessert to again fall flat.
Sad to say... but that will be our last time visiting the Kitchen for dining. We kept giving it a shot in hopes it was a one time thing but nope... this is the standard now.
I sincerely hope Universal Orlando addresses the hotels and dining because what was a one time... looking to take the top spot over Disney... is now falling short in my opinion. Disney resorts pride themselves on service and experience.
Food was wonderful as was service. Perfect way to end a long day in the parks.
Food is very good at the Kitchen! We always eat here when staying at The Portofino Bay Hotel!
The customer service was excellent!
The food was delicious!
The Birthday dessert was amazing!
Food, beverages and service were perfection! Our first visited started off with dinner at The Kitchen and it was a wonderful way to begin our fun in the sun!
My fiancé & I both enjoyed our steak dinners. They were cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. This was the best meal we had while being @ Universal. The waitress was very good too. I would highly recommend to anyone. Definitely worth it.
Linda our server was very considerate of my mother’s celiac disease needs when it came to choices on the menu. Dawn the manager was very gracious with explaining the steps that the cook takes to prepare the food. Food was excellently done and tasted delicious. The steak was better than Big Fire’s by far, and didn’t cost as much. Both our pasta dishes were perfect. The breaded Calamari wasn’t too rubbery and the breading was crispy and tasty. My party had a very good experience with this restaurant. If we come down again we will make sure to have breakfast.
Eggs Benedict were over cooked, basically hard boiled. The food was ok, not at all what I would have expected for the price. Waiter was very attentive!
I would try again for for dinner, perhaps breakfast is not their specialty.
