The Kitchen at Hard Rock Hotel Ratings and Reviews
It was my daughter’s 3rd birthday and We had made this reservation specifically for the Character Breakfast. We had learned they no longer offer the Character Breakfast and yet it is still advertised. Other than than, service and food was very good.
Great restaurant in the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal. We ate here twice during our stay. Lunch on check in day; was good with a wide variety to suit our entire family from picky little ones to a GF food allergy. They covered it all.
We also had the breakfast buffet. It was Huge and tasted great. I got the “Elvis” French toast. They were really good. It’s pricey, so we went on our last day to end the vacation with a great breakfast.
Food was fine but why is it ok to serve people food at different times ie so you are sat together but have to eat in relay! Drinks are slow and if you want a cold glass of white wine you better request this in advance as they don't seem to put wine in the fridge! Come on Hard Rock get a chef who can prepare 6 meals at the same time......its not too much to expect!
Special cooking stations set up for New Year's Eve were well received by all the guests. The crown rack of lamb, roasted sirloin, seared ahi tuna and fresh raw oysters with a vingarette sauce were my favorite items. All were extremely tasty and well presented.
A dessert bar was set up on the third floor with over 30 items that were a delight to eat and well presented!
I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a great meal and a fun evening! Well done!!
Our server was terrible. She never came to check on our meals or offered refill water. We wanted a second bottle of wine for our table if 5-she never returned. Never offered bread or salad as an alacart or otherwise. Food portions so small we spent high average for dinner and all left unsatisfied. Spent 4 days eating out at the resort restaurants and this was the only one with terrible service and food.
We met with some family friends for a great experience inside the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando. We noticed that Tuesdays are 'Kids Can Cook' nights at The Kitchen. Our kids loved making their own pizzas and getting to watch them go into the oven. A truly special experience for them.
I ordered the filet, asked for medium rare, got medium, but the flavor was still good. Not a big deal excepting the hefty price tag. All other entrees came out as ordered.
To end our night, we took the Kitchen Sink Cake to go. It was more than enough for 6 people. In fact, we couldn't finish it all!
Overall, a good dining experience. I would return and recommend for a group especially on a Tuesday for kids' night!
Great brunch: good food, made to order omelets, pancakes and waffles. Most amazing sticky buns :>) Our waiter, David, was wonderful! So helpful and friendly with our group of 9. We did the same brunch here 4 years ago and had to do it again while we were at Universal Orlando. We did the upgraded brunch to include Mimosas, Champagne and bloody Marys. Great way to start out our Sunday. Thank you, Hard Rock!
Decent gluten-free options. Food was good, but not great. Service was very slow and the restaurant only had a few diners, probably because it has park prices for just an average experience. However, my family would return for a gluten-free meal as there are not very many choices in the area, besides the Disney restaurants.
I don’t recommend for Thanksgiving unless you have tons of kids. It was only buffet, no regular menu. The buffet didn’t even have that many options and like a typical buffet, it was a crowded mess. We had no idea it would be buffet only and if we had known, would have never booked. I personally don’t like buffets at all. The atmosphere for adults was awful. Noisy. People walking everywhere bumping into each other. Characters taking pictures with kids which is cute for kids I get it. Again not for adults and had we known, would have never booked it. We needed a cc to reserve or we would’ve left. So we figured ok we’ll at least it will be cheap lol. Nope $62 per person. Terrible. Lesson learned.
After looking at several places in Orlando to do Thanksgiving Dinner this year we decided on this restaurant . We looked at price , facility and menu . I had read $45 per person and reading the menu I felt it was the fairest price in town. Once arrived at our scheduled time we still had to wait 25 minutes. When finally given a table we could not even sit down because the tables were so close together and when I made the comment to hostess she just looked at me. It took 10 minutes before a waiter saw us for our drink order and another 15 minutes to bring to us. I will also note he never came back except once for refil. The selection of food was par. It was mostly salads , cheeses and fillers. The steak loin was chewy and you could not even find the baked ziti. The stuffing was horrible, no real sweet potatoes or cranberry sauce. All the food tasted salty and the salmon was just alone under a light in a corner. When I told the manger about the price I had intended to pay he did not care and when mentioned the poor quality of food and service they did not care. There feeling is they will get all the people staying at universal anyway. Not worth the $64 value and if going to hit a buffet in the future and spend that kind of money I will try Gaylord palms or to Golden Corral because the quality was probably on the same level
