Welcome to The Kirkland Tap & Trotter! Our food is simple, hearty and approachable. It is how Chef Maws cooks at home for friends and family. At the center of the kitchen is our hardwood grill where you can find us cooking up any of our options to share as well as other grilled fare. Tony has designed an affordable menu, making it easy to eat here often. Keeping with the theme of The Kirkland Tap & Trotter being an every-night-of-the-week establishment, beverage choices will also be representative of things we like to drink. We invite you to drop by after work to try something from our expansive beer list, a straightforward and delicious cocktail, or one of our many wines by the glass with our usual preference toward wines with a bit of funk. We’re open for dinner seven days a week.

The food was good... very good. Noise level was very high; very robust! Sometimes difficult to hear across the table... Did I say the food was good... it was very good!

Fun neighborhood restaurant with a sophisticated twist to pub food. It is loud though so not a place for intimate conversation.

It's pretty simple at the KT&T. Amazing food. Vibrant ambiance. Fair prices. Great alcohol selection. The team has hit the nail on the head in terms of what you want in a restraint for a Friday night date with your wife.

Everyone at KTT was very nice and friendly. Our food came our very quickly despite it being relatively busy. My only complaint is that we wished the food menu was as extensive as their drink selection. It's very possible that there isn't necessarily something for everyone on the menu so I recommend checking it out before you go. Definitely get the brussel sprouts and the ice cream sandwich though!

Dinner here was great. They had an Oktoberfest special going on and the sausages were on point. Beer list is always stellar, too. We splurged and had them pop open one of their big bottles from the reserve list. We'll be back for sure.

My wife and I have been to Tap & Trotter several times. It's one of a handful of go-to spots that have excellent food with a casual vibe where we can pop in, have a cocktail or two, a bunch of small dishes, and get out in an hour if we want. The squid ink orecchiette mussel stew is a regular favorite of ours, but this time they changed the preparation. The sauce was much too vinegary. I'm looking online now and it is supposed to be miso and turkish pepper. Perhaps it was just an off night for the chef, but they might want to rethink that preparation. The Rye Casarecce Pasta was really tasty and unique.

Love this spot. Tasty dishes that you won't find anywhere else. Nothing is overthought or overdone. Family-friendly so long as the kids are willing to try something a little different- kids menu is made top notch like the adult one.

Too expensive though good was good. Atmosphere is super casual, and yet dinner for two, shared appetiser, beer came to $100+ dollars. Not a good value for a casual place for a weekend meal.

The special hot dog was EXTREMELY tasty! Everyone in my dining party loved it! The problem was the waitstaff that evening. We has to flag down people to get more water, ask for dessert menus, ask for drinks. I feel like we kept getting forgotten. This usually isn't a problem for KT&T, but this was pretty bad.

Great Service & wonderful, dropping of the bone, melting in your mouth comfort food.
For appetizers The mussels with squid ink pasta and pork ribs are wonderful and must have.
The fish special hake with curry & coconut & shrimp was delicious. The short ribs were good.
Our waitress was really nice and attentive.
We will definitely be back!!
Only thing that was a disappointment was the coffee ( cold) and espresso (Very, very bitter. ; they were nice to offer to fix it)

I started with the heirloom tomato salad and for my meal I enjoyed the half chicken. Both were great but the heirloom tomato salad was incredible. My guest had the restaurant week menu with the salad, hake and ice cream sandwich. They were all ok. Service was excellent.

Out of 4 meals, 3 were great. The only complaint was that a "medium rare" burger came out closer to blue/rare. However, the problem was quickly and pleasantly rectified such that it was still a great dining experience overall. We will be back.

Apparently, Kirkland Tap and Trotter, is known for its creative cocktails and craft beers that are all the rage in the trendy restaurants these days. I consider myself much more of a foodie, than an informed drinker. However, I do indulge in an interesting cocktail at many places, and this was no exception. My drink was very tasty, served straight up, in one of the smallest "coupe style" martini glasses I've seen. At $11, per, I thought this was very skimpy. I'm usually a one cocktail kind of gal, but needed two that night, as did the other two people I dined with. Too much money for too little punch.

That said, move on to the food and you'll be extremely happy. We started with a delicious zucchini hummus and incredible grilled oysters (a mere $2 ea. on Wed.), served with 3 interesting sauces. For dinner we had the roasted hake with garbanzo beans, curried squash, coconut and lots of great spices. It was cooked perfectly, as was the shrimp kebabs, and the fire roasted 1/2 chicken. Too full for dessert, we thought the menu had promise for another night.

This is a lively, neighborhood spot, with friendly staff and a creative, well executed menu.
Just wish the drinks were a better value.
