The Keystone Ratings and Reviews
My friend was 30 minutes late so I wound up ordering without him. My salad came out pretty quickly and was decent taste and portion. My friend arrived and he wound up ordering the same thing as me, so we sat for another 30 minutes but no salad came. I eventually gave him the rest of my salad since I only hate half (see above re: decent sized portions) and we cancelled his order. They were super apologetic and wound up comping our meal, even though we only ordered essentially 1 salad which was really nice of them.
Loved the restaurant. Food was excellent. Perfect for my son's birthday with a table off to the side for 6 people! Wait staff was very attentive. We made it within minutes of the happy hour and our server was nice enough to still off it to us. That is very cool. Prices were very reasonable. Kale salad with added salmon was excellent. Prawns were delicious. Pizza was excellent. Can't wait to go back.
The bottom line is that could have been a really really good meal was made mediocre by kitchen chaos. Servers tried hard. The "food runners" brought the appetizers at the right temps, though slowly, and the main dish arrived with my wife's pizza looking good and almost stone cold. Fixes took so long, we gave up. Too bad. Our server was energetic and informative, my food was good, but in total, it just didn't work well. Thus, value was undercut.
Good location (for me) as it was opposite my hotel, the Marriott on 4th Street. Had a business dinner there, wine was good, food was great (Halibut) , not too noisy. We had a window seat, but I can imagine going back there alone, next time I am in town, and just eating at the bar.
We enjoyed it...great place to meet friends who are staying at the Marriott or attending a conference/work function...good décor/ambiance.....good food and good menu options...I was on a work related lunch so didn't get to sample the bar menu or specialty drinks...so I'll definitely be back..
Located across street from Marriott Marquis, nice ambiance and good service. Really interesting salad with Kale, toasted butternut squash, Medjool dates and very light citrus dressing. Perfect to start with. Friend had Pappardellewith Bolognaise sauce, which was made with Portobello mushrooms- she loved it. I tried the Mac 'n Cheese and it was very rich and yummy. Only disappointment was bread pudding. Just not enough flavor & a bit dry. Otherwise wverything was quite good
Ate here because it had good reviews and was near our hotel. Overall we liked the vibe of the restaurant, cool decor and overall feel. 3 of us had a different pasta dish, they were all good but nothing unexpected. The only complaint was my husband's entree arrived before he was done eating his salad and they just placed it on the table with no apologies. When our waitress came to check on us we told her about it, she was appropriate and offered to re-do his entree (which was not necessary... the pacing was just off) but we never saw her again.
I had family in town, staying at the Marriott Marquis across the street from Keystone, and had followed google reviews for restaurants in the area. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was hopeful that we had selected a good spot for our reunion. I was apprehensive walking in, because the sound level seemed quite high and I had hoped that we would be able to have conversations without shouting. Once the party arrived, we were taken to a large table in the rear, and the sound was much better. Our server was very friendly and helpful; she suggested many variations on the menu for the couple of picky eaters in the group, and the chef gladly obliged. The food was very good. A very good value. I did not pay attention to the wine or cocktails, so I can't comment on wine list et al. But I'd say this is a good choice if you are in the area and want a casual dining experience with excellent service and very tasty food.
Eat and get out seemed to be the approach. Main courses arrived before appetisers were finished. Hovering waiters. Food only ok. Diner beside us queries the size of his salad as it was tiny for a main course. Wouldn't recommend this for dinner. May be ok for a bar
We were a party of three, never had been there before, but I know we will be back. First of all, the service was excellent. Then, we shared several of the small to entre-size dishes so that we could all try them. We particularly enjoyed both the soups of the day (gaspacho and posole), the Tuscan Kale Salad and the Roasted Vegetable Board. Also, the Roasted Half Chicken was super-moist and tasty. It was a Sunday evening so maybe that was why it was fairly calm in there, but we appreciated that we could have a conversation between us without raising our voices.
I really like this place! It's quite beautiful inside, and a good spot for conversation as although it's lively, it doesn't get too loud. Lots of good shareable options and larger entrees. Not obscenely expensive either, especially if you go for happy hour. Get the roasted veggie plate; interesting flavors and good to share.
The pizzas were just really bad. We ordered the special mushroom pizza and the sausage pizza. There were very few pieces of sausage, hardly any sauce or cheese. We had 1/2 a slice and left the whole pizza. The special mushroom pizza was also lacking in flavor and cheese.
A friend and I went to the restaurant for an early Saturday lunch. It was a brunch menu, which I usually shy away from at other restaurants because the choices tend to be blah and overpriced. Not here. You get a mimosa and an entree for the low price of $25. And there were many good choices, from breakfast items to salads to hamburger.
We split a roasted curried cauliflower dish and Southern Fried Chicken and Waffles Benedict. My first chicken and waffles ever. Usually they don't appeal to me, but these were amazing. The chicken was so crispy, every morsel, but the meat was juicy. It was served with a coconut curry waffle and the eggs were perfectly unctuous. Plenty of food to split. The cauliflower entree was nice for an appetizer salad. I would have been a little disappointed if it was my only meal. Very light and subtle. And tasty for what I'm sure was a very low calorie dish. I'm definitely going back. Great prices and great food.
