The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Yaletown Ratings and Reviews
Keg is my favorite chain and it never disappoints. I had Iceberg Wedge salad followed by Prime Rib. Everything was perfect. Very good wine selection. I had two glasses of red wine from the tap - “Crimson” and “House Ranch”. The later was my favorite. They offered dessert in mini portion which is very considerate. Very attentive service from the start till the end.
Had dinner at Yaletown Keg couple nights ago. Decent overall experience with a small mishap. Ordered escargots for appy and the first bite was quite unpleasant. The escargot was full with sand, or whatever it was. Server had inquired about the first bites and I addressed the issue. Response that I had received was that it was too bad and hopefully the next couple bites will turn out better. Thank you for the feedback and I sure hoped it will be better at that moment. Well it better be!
I would recommend other Kegs but however this one always seems to let us down. My partner's steak was cold and so was the baked potato. We went through this last time as well but this time were on a time crunch so just went with it. My burger was fine although smaller than usual?. Last time we were at the Keg Yaletown they messed up our order sent out a regular sirloin and not the teriyaki version and then proceeded to argue with us that it was a teriyaki well simple why does it not taste like it? My partners orders it every time probably for the last 20 years so we had to wait about 30 more minutes for them to get it right. So this is probably the last time we go to Keg Yaletown.
I was there for "Taste of Yaletown". It wasn't that the price was outstanding, but the value for what we got at The Keg, I thought it was pretty good. Not quite sure why the bathrooms were only on the first floor and it was a far hike from the second floor to go down there. However, I must admit that it was VERY nice place for special dining.
The location is great and the actual restaurant as well. I’ve been many times and usually have a great experience when it comes to the food but for some reason this night the food just wasn’t up to par. The chicken dish I had was dry and the bacon burnt. Had a very strange charred flavor to it.
during our Canada trip we joined in different cities the Keg's restaurant.
Ambiance, food was always excellent and had the same level of quality.
Especially the steaks we can recommend.
Prices had a fair price-performance ratio.
Service very friendly and very obliging.
Overall we enjoyed the keg. We were a little disappointed with the table we were given. It was away from others, in a corner with empty tables surrounding us. Also my cocktail was average. It was meant to have berries and fresh rosemary in it and it had neither. Food was delicious but service/seating lacked considering we made an effort to pre book etc.
Excellent service from the staff at The Keg in Yaletown. The staff were very attentive from the moment we walked in the doors to when we left the restaurant. Prime ribs, filets and strioloin orders were cooked perfect to order and came out quickly but we did dine on a Monday evening. The beverages took a while to come. Overall a great dining experience and I preferred to book a reservation online.
Service was excellent. I called ahead to ask for a booth and was put in a closed dining area where it was quiet and my boyfriend and I could have a quiet, alone birthday dinner. Server was efficient and always refilled the water without asking. I was impressed that they went out of their way to accommodate us in a quiet area - even though it was a closed area for the night. They were busy for a Thursday night however everyone was getting seated right away - if it's busy on a Thursday night it goes to show how good the place really is, overall excellent service, greeted with a smile and will definitely be going back ! Thank you Keg Yaletown, you made the occasion special for us :)
