The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Yaletown Ratings and Reviews
We asked for an intimate table as it was a special birthday for us as a couple. The table that was reserved for us was next to a young family of 6 with small children. It's tough when you would like a quieter table when many adults bring children. Restaurants need to be aware of all people dining and consider placement appropriate. We were able to secure a nice table in the lounge. But still wondered why the 8ish year old girl was allowed to repeatedly run back and forth through the restaurant and lounge? The manager looked after us real well. We were appreciative that she recognized how we felt. Food, as always fantastic!
Always love the Keg's consistency
They have the whole package at reasonable
We are desperately missing our Keg in Kamloops we have Atlas steakhouse but it does not compare to the unmatchable franchise the keg is. With the recent sale to swiss chalet all we can hope is they take our swiss chalet and swap it for a keg somewhere. Kamloops has had a Keg for as long as i remember and we need it back. I think 100,000 people here would agree.
We had an excellent experience at your yaletown location. The food was amazing as always and the service on point. The ambience was very nice - busy but relaxed as well. The only negative aspect was being told by our server “there are a lot of reservations tonight so please keep that in mind” I know dine times are a thing but the delivery could have been better. Overall you guys are doing a great job. We will be back for another special occasion!
Went here for happy hour drinks, but ended up getting their daily drink specials (I quite enjoy the red sangria. though it needs a bit more booze)! Happy hour food selections are limited (only 3?), and ended up ordering off regular menu anyway. Nonetheless, good food and great service.
Four of us went here for my 60th birthday. Everyone ordered steak except for my wife who ordered the tuna entree. When we got our meals, my wife asked me to try the tuna, as felt it was not fresh. It wasn't. We sent the meal back and did not replace it. Later that night, my wife had stomach issues due to the tuna. This lasted for about 2 days. Management offered to replace the tuna entree at the time, which we declined. Really disappointed that a meal other than steak was way below standards.
Went for dine out x birthday dinner for a friend.
Waitress was awesome and very friendly. We sat in an isolated area from everyone which was nice. It was like our own private area.
Food was great. Large portions that left us some take away. Meat was cooked perfectly as always.
Food was great. Reservation was easy. Server was VERY friendly and helpful. Jemma is her name....highly recommend all waitresses to be like her.....smiley, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and just all around thoughtful server. Would definitely go back and ask to be served by her again. My wife and kids really liked her service and the food.
First time sitting on the roof top patio! Really nice space and atmosphere but gets way too chilly to sit there comfortably for long periods of time; when it gets chilly, the fire and blankets don’t really help. We came for dine-out — everything was delicious. The baked Brie was really yummy too!
We spotted mice while having our dinner. KEG is one of our favourite places to go because of the amazing steaks and friendly staff. This was something that we didn't expected from KEG at all. Spotting mice in the closed dining area can tell a lot about the kitchen ! I hope that the management take care of this issue properly and we can call KEG our favourite steakhouse again.
We went for the Dine Out. The only complaint would be that on the Dine Out site shrimp was offered as an appetizer at the Keg. However this wasn't the case - options when we got to resto were mushroom soup or Caesar salad. My boyfriend was very disappointed as he wasn't a fan of the choices and was really looking forward to the shrimp.
Perhaps the menu pdf needs to be updated for Dine Out.
Enjoyed our visit. Had a belated Christmas family get together. Food & Service ROCKED. Only complaint is table seating management. We has an early seating so seating was very available, but hostess's felt to fill one area full and leave other's empty. Not totally complaining, but would be worth looking into.
We have a hard time finding good food that we are satisfied paying for,as we generally cook better food at home. However the Keg has never let us down. And this last visit was one of the best experiences yet. The food was very fresh and hot as well. Hats off to the whole team. Great service.
Went there with family visiting from out of town. Often go to this location. Problem sometimes as today is put at table where lighting was so dim, could hardly read the menu. Sometimes the music is playing very loud as well so it is hard to talk to your friends.
May be due to not being very busy, but our waiter was a little too doting and felt interrupted too much from the service with water etc...
Lastly today my prime rib wasn't great. Normally juicy, today almost seemed like it was from the day before. Will try again, and if repeat performance then won't go again.
Overall we had a satisfactory evening out. If I'm honest I'd say the service could be a little better - more attentive, more careful. I think empty plates should be removed frequently but we were left with all kinds of messy dishes by the end of the night . It's much nicer to have coffee and dessert without having the dishes pile up.
Steak was decent, as usual but could we not have a couple more veggies on the plate? Baked potato was dry and old - surprised it doesn't come in tin foil. I think The Keg could do better.
