The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Windsor Riverside Ratings and Reviews
Great place, good atmosphere and the service was great. The waiter was informative and friendly.
The wait for the food wasn't that long, and we had a bread basket anyhow whilst we waited.
Food was good, especially the steak. The chips were good but not exceptional.
Price mid range, just watch the prices on the wine list as can potentially grow quickly.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening with you. We had excellent service from (Kelly)? Very personable and happy and helpful. I enjoyed my 1/2 lobster which she told me how to eat...lol It was a wonderful 37th Anniversary Evening. After dinner we went back to Caesars to see Wayne Brady and Jonathon. Thanks for the huge piece of ice cream cake....we have told all of our friends about it.
Excellent steakhouse. Great, relaxed service. We got good advice from our server. Steaks were great quality and cooked as ordered. Vegetables accompaniments were plentiful and fresh. Although advertized as four dollar signs, we thought the prices were quite moderate for this quality.
All in all the meals were great. Only issue I had was that I ordered the Pistachio salmon and the pistachio toppings were a little burnt unlike other times I have ordered the same dish. The 1st time I had ordered the dish before it was delicious but this time the burnt flavour threw off the taste.
As a person working in the industry at a Steakhouse this was a disappointing visit. Both my wife and my steak itself were good and cooked correctly most of everything else was not great. Lobster filled yorkies were very thick, blue cheese crust was tasteless, along with the Caesar salad. It was a bowl of romaine with a couple croutons and a very bland dressing.
On the plus side, wine list is very well priced.
Server was fine although forgot what bottle I ordered and right after we sat down we had a food runner try and give us someone else's food.
For the prices expected more.
loved our server Katherine! Super friendly😃We usually go to Devonshire Mall location but were downtown so went to this location. I found serving sizes smaller and the steak i had definitely tougher than usually but did not mention to server. Will continue to eat at Howard location.
I had made a reservation months ago thinking that we might get a window table to see the falls while we dine...no - apparently they are 1st come 1st served - SO WHY THE HECK MAKE A RESERVATION!!!. When we were taken to our seat(which was a lovely view of the falls) it did not have enough room in between the seats at the table next to us. Just over 3 tables was another table for two with the same view. We were told that that was a different server. If they had said right then and there about the 1st come thing we would have waited for a window table. We ended up in an alcove which was cosy enough but since we were from out of town celebrating an anniversary it could have been so much more romantic. The Hostess was rude and would not come back to explain why we were seated where we were. The manager was kind enough to explain finally - after we had finished our meal & give us a discount on our meal even though we told her that all we really wanted was an explanation. We have been coming to the Keg for a few years now and that is the first we had heard of this policy. Needless to say we will be looking elsewhere for our next anniversary dinner. By the way, the food, drinks, and service by our waitress was fantastic.
Celebrating a birthday...included a special request for window seating...disappointed that we were not given a window seat especially since I requested it so far in advance. The appetizer, wine selection, food and dessert were very good...fresh tasting and served hot. Did not receive bread...had to ask for it. Our server was OK...could have been more attentive...I had to ask another server for help with something.
Love this place. Food is always delicious with a creative menu. We are not from the area and always, always plan a dinner here when visiting. Our server, Tina, is the best!! We were lucky to have had her serve us a number of times and we will be asking for her in the future. Tina knows her menu, makes excellent suggestions and is very attentive without hovering. I highly recommend The Keg.
Had a fantastic time celebrating our anniversary. Staff very friendly and attentive. General manager visited us several times. My filet was one of the best I ever had. The scallop bacon appetizer was delicious . The entree comes with salad a side and green beans and mushroom. The complimentary Oreo crumble coffee ice cream cake was a scrumptious surprise . Recommend getting a high top table by the window in the bar for the view.
We made reservations early so we could attend a concert at Caesars, but people who were seated after us received their meal before us. Almost 2 hrs after our reservation we got our food. The Manager's explanation was that they were busy because of the concert and they were serving the people attending the concert first, which we were as well and told the waitress that. Anyway I made the reservation early so I would not need to rush. Honestly the food is not worth the price compared to higher end restaurants with some atmosphere. This Keg is more like a loud fastfood steakhouse.
Made reservations, however was seated 20 minutes after reservation time. Was greeted quickly by server to take our food order, but did not offer us beverages. After 40 minutes, of not seeing our waitress again I flagged down a bus girl and asked her to please find our waitress. Approximately 10 minutes later, the bus girl came back to tell us that our waitress was very busy with a large party...so....apparently the "large party" was more deserving of good service? Or perhaps a larger tip in the end? Finally the waitress showed back at our table and offered us drinks. Mind you, we are now +50 minutes at this point, but she did come back quickly with our beverages. I asked the waitress how long before our meal would be finished as we have a concert to attend before 8pm. She explained that she was going as fast as she could and that the restaurant was very busy. ( not what I asked her..) I explained that I could see it was very busy and asked her to please see what she could do. She was back again with our food in less than 5 minutes and told us that she had to "push it through ". Not really sure what that meant, other than perhaps she was trying to appease us?? My steak was undercooked for my requested order but I didn't have time to send it back, nor did I want to sit there any longer. The bill was just over $114.00 for one of the most unenjoyable experiences had. The restaurant that evening was totally understaffed given the amount of patrons you had. It was no wonder the waitress was unhappy and it showed in her level, or lack thereof customer service. The Keg should be embarrassed for not staffing properly.
Great prime rib dinner! My stomach hurt I ate so much. I think next time I am going to get the 10 oz instead of the 14 oz, I just couldn't stop eating it was so tasty. Watch the horseradish, it's hot. I loved it, but I can see someone who is not used to hot spices being taken back a bit. The Keg is not a place I go to alot, pricey, but when I do go it's always good.
Food was amazing as per usual. The service from the waitress was not so good. I guess if your not ordering alcohol your not treated as nicely. Our waitress had four tables in a row and everyone but our table ordered wine she was super nice laughing and joking with the other tables and never once came by after food was served to see if we wanted anything else or to refil our waters. Never asked what we were celebrating and never asked if we wanted dessert. We typiclly pay credit card and give cash for a tip. When the waitress watched us hit no tip on the machine she did a big huff. First time ever going to the keg and having bad service
Food was amazing as per usual
