Our waiter was very pleasant. The food was great
Excellent steaks! Amazing service from Brandon! Everything cooked perfectly! Highly recommended!
Steak was over cooked. Was replaced without any fuss but the replacement whilst better was over too. A discount was provided. Expect a steakhouse should be able to do the one thing that it should be able to do. That is cook a steak properly.
The service was excellent and the way the restaurant dealt with it was excellent.
Outstanding meal and over the top food. What made our evening even better was our server Julie ... she was friendly and the service was excellent. We will continue to visit The Keg Whistler and hopefully our server will be Julie. We would recommend 100%
Great introduction to our ski holiday. A superb waitress, great food and fab choice of wine and drinks. All in all a great choice for all ages and reasonable on the wallet. I would definitely go again.
Very tasty steak and ribs. Sides were a bit on the mean side and I don’t have a big appetite any day of the week. Service was brusque but efficient. Atmosphere was bustling.
My steak was tough.
My son and I had a nice dinner for our final night at Whistler skiing. The initial seating was a little awkward since it was very busy with many party's coming without reservations. Once seated the dinner was very nice and the food was as expected for a restaurant of this type.
If you want steak. This is the place and my server was out of the world .... good
Server was obviously new. She did not offer to take drink orders first - instead she suggested we order everything at once. Server did not know what types of beer were on tap, did not tell about specials until we asked. The $20 glass of wine has to be sent back as it had oxidized. Food was average. Prime rib was cooked as requested. Top sirloin was fine, mushrooms neptune, calamari and arctic char, all as expected. Nothing fancy. No surprises. Keg food.
Great meal. Steak and prime rib cooked as requested.
Excellent steaks and good wine list . Would recommend the crispy cauliflower too.
Had early reservation. We had a toddler and infant so they gave us a table a little tucked away off to the side which worked well. Find that food is done nicely and consistently at the Keg and this was no exception. We found the area we were in a bit dim, but otherwise enjoyed our visit.
Excellent meal, excellent wine and very friendly staff. A bit more expensive than other restaurants but worth every cent. Well worth a look.
Excelentes cortes y buena cava.
Very busy!
Anniversary
Great steaks and good wine. Perfect place to round off a good day on the piste. You will need to book to be sure of your preferred time. Always polite and friendly staff.
Steak house with poor steak. Went for the baseball which came with extra tendon and gristle - not pleasant. Luckily my wife had a lovely fillet mignon. Won’t be going back during the rest of our stay in Whistler
Amazing food and an enjoyable evening x
Very expensive overpriced food, quality wasn't worth it wouldn't go back. Compared to some of the other meals we've had here while staying at Whistler.
Good food but occasion spoilt by very noisy group - a situation that management should have taken care of. Not sure I want to go back, as it ruined our evening. We were not alone in this opinion.
This was our second visit to the Keg. The first was to the bar downstairs, where -ironically- we had a better experience. Our server was more attentive, the food was better.
The baked brie is good, but skip the garlic cheese toast. We had uneven experience with the petit filet mignons - 2 of the 3 were superb; top-quality beef. The 3rd had a wicked fat streak in it. The sesame-crusted ahi is decent, but not great; it seemed somewhat overdone. For sides, order the garlic mashed potatoes and skip the twice-baked; it is charred on top and rather flavorless. Fries are the super-skinny variety (my gf likes them; I'm more partial to thick steak fries).
Service on the 2nd visit was more sporadic and flighty - I think the waitress we got the first time was more experienced and managing a full section.
Prices are high, but that seems normal for Whistler. Better than 21 Steps, which is ranked #1 for some reason. I'd recommend it with the caveats above.
The food was very good and the service was friendly. It was a bit loud for us as we were having a meal out for two and there were two loud tables a few tables away. Really good overall and would go back.
Great steaks and other offerrings. Wait person a little snobish but not the norm based on past visits to keg (this one and others).
Get together with friends and family from out of province. Service was very good, food was good. Desserts menu, did not impress us. Hope you can update and modernize? Wine selection was very good and our server knew her stuff. Thank you.
Great atmosphere, service and surroundings but the food was really average. In hindsight I should have gone for something different but steak Oscar (with scallops and shrimp) sounded lovely. The bearnaise sauce was awful, like something cheap out of a jar. It was creamy but had no twang of acidity and no shallots or tarragon in sight! The seafood was also likely out of a packet and warmed up rather than cooked fresh. Just not what I expected to be honest. The steak was cooked well but was tough to cut and eat. All in all if I did go back I’d definitely order something else. However with the range of restaurants available in Whistler, I can’t see why I’d want to go back.
Great evening at the keg
We hadn't been to The Keg in a while because there are so many options at Whistler. But we both said we need to keep it in our return-often list. Our waiter, Simon, was very knowledgable and helpful to us in choosing our steaks and wine. He was very attentive and polished, a true professional. Our Filet mignon and prime rib were prepared perfectly. Other restaurants charge more for lesser meals. My husband got the full meal and I just got the steak (which still includes side veggies) and we shared his wedge salad and twice baked potato. There was plenty of food and we didn't feel overstuffed. It was a great option.
No drinks or appies, waited 55 mins for food which came out cold
Very great experience. Our server was outstanding and the food was excellent. I am already looking forward to our next visit to Whistler.
Keg is one of the better restaurants in Whistler, service great, food excellent, price not rediculous, but very worth the experience.
Our steak was overcooked and the waitress didnt help us , argued that this is the médium term . Was a Shame ....
Truly enjoyed our meal. Steak was delicious!! Fantastic, attentive service. Will go back next time we are up here at Whistler.
The steak and crab were excellent, but the cauliflower with ginger Hoi sin was even better
The table was ready on time. We had guests joining us that were running late and they moved the reservation for us hassle free. We had a booth which is what we had asked for and the server we had was very attentive and friendly. We will be going back.
Pretty busy as most of the restaurants in Whistler during the winter sports season. Easier if you book in advance. Service was a bit long but good food as always in keg houses.
