The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Whistler Ratings and Reviews
We had a fantastic meal at the Keg!
The service was excellent, our waiter, Brendan, was so pleasant and helpful, he made us feel special which all adds to a great experience.
The food was so tasty, the steaks were cooked to perfection, and the accompaniments were fresh and tasty. We had a variety of beers and wines and cocktails at the table and all were great.
Many thanks for a wonderful meal, it added to a fabulous holiday
The keg is great but the booking system does not seem to be failproof. We made a booking as we left one night, got confirmation by email and we were told that there was no reservation for us. When I showed the confirmation we got a table...
All ended well but perhaps make sure you double confirm that you actually have a booking as it is always very full.
We had excellent service both during and after the meal. During the meal, the server was attentive and timely but her service really jumped up a level after the meal when she realized we had forgotten a shopping bag at the table and she followed us into the snowy night to make sure that we got it back. The food was predictably very good, the Manhattan I had was top-notch and the kids' meal was perfect for my son who felt it was one of the best kids' meals he has had. The other stellar part of the experience was that we were seated beside a lovely fireplace which really gave the ambiance a jolt forward.
a standby for Whistler. I asked for the cheese butter for the bread. definitely recommend this as its really yummy. tables are wide so talking across the table is a bit challenges as this is a very popular restaurant. food was excellent and so was the service. I will be going back
The Keg is our go to spot when in Whistler. We never miss the Keg when on a trip (2-3 times a year). The food is excellent, the drinks are always good and the service is top notch. Our favorite place in the village and great price for the fabulous food. A must in Whistler!
Reservation was available on time - no problems with OpenTable app. Staff and server was excellent, and our varied food orders (GF and non-GF) and varied choices of how our steaks were prepared, were all met wonderfully. Fantastic, quality dining - prices are creeping up from a year ago, but that's been my experience everywhere with similar restaurants.
What I really like about this place is the fact that a kid’s meal has actual real food just like an adult portion, only less of it. My daughter and I both enjoyed a tasty sirloin steak and I was happy to see a very nice vegetable side dish offered (asparagus, grilled red peppers, and green beans) as a Paleo-friendly alternative to a starch. We will definitely be back!
Worst food ever at a keg, don’t know what happened as we go to the keg often. The steak meals were bland, pepper corn sauce looked like turkey gravy. The Oscar sauce was watered down looking and had no flavour. Not consitant with most kegs. Unfortunate for $50.00 a plate meals
After waiting for a table at Christmas in 2016 for over two hours, this year we made reservations waaaay in advance. We knew we wanted to return here for Christmas dinner again! We traveled all the way from Florida and the Keg did not disappoint. The 6 members enjoyed appetizers, steak and one chicken entree. The special lobster appetizer was SOOOO GOOD! Definitely a favorite. Also the dessert options were plentiful. My only teeny tiny disappointment was the selection of only one Reisling by the glass...it was a dry option and just so-so. But everything else was hands down the best meal we have had while visiting Whistler for the second time.
