We had an entire section to ourselves because of social distancing and the staff were all wearing masks, so we felt very safe😊😊

The Whistler Keg did not disappoint. We hadn't been to this particular Keg in several years and we were happy to go and enjoy. There were some children that were somewhat loud next to us but it was alright. We all had great meals including steaks and salmon with the fixings...and being it was a birthday celebration we were offered the famous Billy Miner Pie for desert. A perfect end to a delish dinner. The prices were somewhat more (by about $6 per plate) but that is to be expected in Whistler Village.

Went to celebrate my 50th birthday. Would have liked to have been a bit more secluded from the small children at the nearby table. Food was ok, could have had a better cut of meat. I know for next time.

I did not like my steak at all. It tasted like charcoal and was not cooked as it wanted it. Perhaps not used to flame cooked steak. Salad and baked potato were excellent.

Was our anniversary. My husbands steak was over cooked, twice a but they were good to cover the cost.

Summary: This is the first time in 40+ years that I had to eat a steak with ketchup. Our server was great.
1. Greeting - 1 person at door seemed to have difficulty with the reservation system but someone came to help her and he was very efficient and helpful.
2. Ambience - Like an old Ponderosa, in a forgotten unloved way rather than a cool retro way.
3. Food - I’d say “bland cafeteria.” Spice and love from the kitchen was missing; both potato dishes seemed old (Ordered steak frites and chicken masala). We considered whether to send it back but because of COVID we didn’t want to be a bother and just ate what we could.
4. Service - redeemed the evening. She noticed I didn’t eat much and when she asked “how is everything” and we replied “it was okay” she proved for more details and wouldn’t let us wave it off. She was very concerned that we didn’t like it.
5. Price - it’s Whistler. Expect to pay.

We felt very comfortable considering the new environment due to covid. Our waiter let us know all the precautions that are in place for everyone's safety. Good job by everyone involved. Thank you for a good dining experience and a bit of normal on our visit.

Lots of long waits, 20 min until our appetizers came. Our calamari was cold and our drinks arrived at the same time. Our dinner took over 30 minutes. The steak was good but the bacon wrapped around was burnt. Service was good but just very slow.

Service was OK the waiter overcharged is for my order steak and shrimp he uphold me to a larger steak and prawn skewer which I did not realize till I receive the bill as I had never ordered that before. He did adjust the bill but it was not a difficult order as it was a specific menu item

We had an okay dinner. Daughters burger was over cooked but they replaced it. Music was really loud. We had a speaker above our heads. Otherwise everything was ok

We had children screaming, jumping on the seats and pushing their face against the protective barrier separating our table from the table behind us (Covid19 plastic barriers). We were there for our anniversary and we were saddened to pay over $100 for an experience similar to McDonalds. We love the Keg...and the food and drinks are amazing, we just felt so let down and saddened by the ambiance and children screaming noise level.
Food was overall good. My boyfriend’s main dish I think it was halibut, was really dry. The lighting where I was sitting upstairs had a spotlight shining on me the entire night so was quite bright! The table beside me had no lighting, maybe the bulb blew out on their side, they looked like they couldn’t see the menu. Service was slow but I understand it’s because of short staff and our waiter didn’t have the extra help.
Good restaurant and taking care a lot about COVID-19.
The food and service were excellent, especially given the current restrictions.

Very overpriced, very slow service. Was celebrating an anniversary and sat us in an area that was quiet and then proceeded to fill tables nearby full of noisy kids. Beverages were forgotten and Bill was mixed up continuously . Had to contact my bank as the charges for the mistakes weren’t reversed.
Will not return to this Keg or other Kegs in the near future . Really disappointed.

Our table was already ready and we were promptly seated. We were a group of 6 so takes more effort but waiter had no problems. Food excellent. Prices high for what was on the plate. A 14 oz rib off the bone, about 10 nuggets of potatoe, and same for asparagus. A small side salad would be nice with it. No house wine.
It was very loud and busy when we went. Our waitress was awesome and the food was great! The ambiance wasn’t great but I would go back.
The restaurant needs a serious update as all of the other kegs I have visited are a lot modern and cleaner.
Firstly, when we had asked in regards to any drink specials, we were told it was “downstairs only” which was kind of silly as this wasn’t mentioned to us during our booking and we also were not offered a “downstairs table” to accomodate for that. The offer would have been at least appreciated because the downstairs bar section was almost empty and we would have liked to take advantage of the specials. We weren’t even told what the specials were.
Secondly, I had ordered my steak bleu, and normally do not have an issue at steakhouses for them to cook it this way.. I cut the end corner off and seen it looked a little bit overdone, but sometimes this happens with the end area of the steak, I then cut about an inch into the steak and it was definitely more medium-rare than bleu. I had asked if I was able to have a new steak prepared as this one was too cooked. This wasn’t an issue. However, a man that I would assume was the manager brought my new steak back out and was quite abrupt about it. He then told me to cut the steak in front of him, I was kind of take aback as that’s unnecessary pressure to put on someone and it made me quite uncomfortable. At this point, even if i wasn’t happy with it, it didn’t seem like i had any other option than to accept the steak.
Lastly, when I had booked the reservations, I had mentioned it was my partner and my anniversary; they ignored that comment, did not mention it and then had not offered us a dessert menu. Little things like that really make a dining experience memorable and it’s unfortunate that my partner’s first dining experience at the keg was not that great.
Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend mushroom caps for an app, steaks were top notch, and cooked to perfection! Yummy!
