A very nice steakhouse! Pricey, but worth every bite! Our steaks were overcooked, but quickly remedied! The Assistant Manager took the steaks back, and brought us new hot cooked to perfection steaks and sides! Couldn’t have asked for better! The Manager then came over to our table to double check our steaks’s doneness. Very very kind and pleasant staff! Will definitely return!!!! Thank you all!
Had the 7 oz filet mignon and it was perfect. Server was exceptionally friendly and accurate in taking down and bringing us our meals. Since it was my birthday, they were nice enough to give me my desert "on the house."
Excellent waitstaff (special shout out to Kevin). Food was outstanding. Entire experience exceeded our expectations!
We are on the patio, and the weather was perfect. The tables were nicely spaced. The food was great!
Great place , clean , good foot and service
Friendly and professional service, good food and drinks.
Went there for my birthday dinner. Disappointed that I couldn’t get salmon. For some reason they were out of it. My only complaint was that the restaurant was too cold.
Nice atmosphere to celebrate a birthday, however the prime rib and the lobster tail were very chewy and not cooked properly. The twice-baked bread and the dessert were the highlight of the meal. Not a good value.
Our meal was delicious. Deacon, our waiter had a great sense of humor and was very helpful in explaining everything to us, since we were neophytes. The filet and prime rib were cooked to excellence. When we had finished eating, Josh, the general manager stopped by our table and asked for anything we could offer to make our dining a better experience. This was a very professional act on his part. We are planning a return engagement very soon.
Our server Dominic was terrific - our food was delicious. It was a great evening!
Consistently excellent. Always a sure bet to take family visiting from out of town. Never have to be concerned that it won't be as good as we built it up to be.
Food is always good and so is the service. We have moved to Reno and we do miss the Keg.
I have been a customer of the Oro Valley Keg for many years. The service and quality of food has always been exceptional. I especially enjoy the open and friendly wait staff personalities!
As always, our meal at the Keg in Oro Valley was wonderful. The service was impeccable. We had Prime Rib and the special of Short Ribs both meals were amazing and delicious. We love going here for a nice meal and recommend it to everyone.
We had a great meal and great service. Steaks were done just right. Really enjoyed ourselves.
We had a great dinner after a movie at the Keg. We really liked our server, Duncan, who was very friendly and funny. I liked the variety of items on the menu since we weren't super hungry (too much popcorn!) Their bar menu was available at the table and had great lighter fare. Very nice dinner!
My wife ordered a chocolate martini, and it was awful. The manager came to our table and apologized for the drink ... he said it was awful. He then said he would not charge us for it.
Also water was not given to us until we asked for towards the end of our meal. The server did apologize.
I ordered my steak medium to rare. It was pink. I didn’t send it back because I didn’t want to make a scene.
The food was excellent!! My wife had prime rib with a lobster tail and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the peppercorn New York strip with a twice baked potato. Incredibly delicious. So, food taste and temperature was where we would expect for the price point.
Now, let's discuss the service. This was our 26th wedding anniversary. I ticked the radio button in the OT app, "Anniversary".
Upon arrival, the hostess was not super welcoming (ex. She had a difficult time looking up from her screen when we walked up) and then could not find our reservation. She asked if we received a confirmation email (which we had). When we offered to go get my phone from the car, she did not try to dissuade us, so my wife went back for the phone. While my wife was gone she asked one of the ladies to direct me to a table (I told the lady that we would wait for my wife to get back). The hostess never said 'oh, I found it. Sorry.' Not one word to me. I did mention to her that it was our anniversary. No acknowledgement.
When my wife got back with my phone, which was no longer needed, we were directed to our table. We asked for the patio (also noted in the OT app) and were told where the patio was and go ahead and pick any table. Then the lady was directed to show us where the patio was. When we selected a table, we noted that it had not been wiped down since the previous guests (several wine rings and a few crumbs left).
Things got better at this point as the servers had a busser come quickly. One of the ladies asked for our drink order and had bread brought out quickly. Drinks arrived and our server was friendly and helpful with the menu and even helped light the outdoor heaters. Then, she dropped the ball. After she cleared our plates, there was no question asked about dessert. She just brought the check. No apology. No mention of our anniversary. Nada. She seemed surprised that we might want something more. Ahh yes, service. NOT!
My husband and I were celebrating our 15th wedding Anniversary and Logan our server made us feel extra special celebrating. In addition to Logan superior service, the chef made an special visit to our table and gave us two glasses of Champaign. Thank you to both, you really made our evening!
Food had no taste. I had chicken Oscar and it was blah. Mashed potatoes were the best thing on the plate. Way overpriced for a chicken thigh and two shrimp.
great food and service
i would like the whole restaurant redesigned
Love the food! Duncan is fantastic!
The Keg never disappoints. It’s my husband’s go to for prime rib and while I’m not a big red meat eater, the pistachio crusted salmon was fabulous. The servers are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The management is always visible and welcoming. The overall ambiance is the best you can find in the Tucson area. The bar area can get loud, but the dining room is perfect.
Always great food and service.
The food was excellent and the service was superb. Will definitely go back again!
We arrived at 5PM for Happy Hour and were seated at a nice table in the bar.
Loaded Nachos, Crispy fried Cauliflower, and chicken wings were ordered, along with wine.
Our server was terrific, attentive but not overly and she was just so nice and friendly!
Food and service was great, wish I had known about this particular Happy Hour sooner!
We will be back!
Had a great first experience there. We will be going back for sure!
We have eaten at The Keg a number of times, and it has always been, without exception, the finest restaurant in the whole area. The food and staff are superb.
This time we were celebrating our anniversary, and the staff made it all the more special.
A big thank you to The Keg, John
Our server Duncan was great. Very professional and polite.
The cauliflower mash was a little bland but the meatloaf was delicious. As always the prime rib was on point.
As per my reservation on Open Table, it was a special birthday for a family member. At no point was there any recognition of this. Drink order for our guest was not available, McCallan 12 YO, a staple at restaurants with $40+ dinner entrees. Dinner came very quickly after we ordered. No surprise, the meals which were placed in front of 3 out of 4 guests were not ours!!! Not so sure how happy I would have been if our meals were placed in front of others!
Service was slow. Our server showed up to see how we were doing as we were finishing our dinner. The woman who delivered our meals was not pleasant. I ordered the beef short rib special which was mostly fat and disgusting. The crab mushroom appetizer was delicious! We were very disappointed and will not be back. My husband left a hefty tip which was not deserving.
Wife’s birthday. Poor greeting. Had to wait for a table even though many tables were empty. Unable to accommodate with a booth. Table not cleaned in between courses. Food was very good. Needs to get a more attentive staff.
Steaks were good, and service outstanding. The place to dine out with guests and visiting relatives
We are repeat customers and have referred many family members and friends.
First class service from the moment you walk into the door, seated, wait staff, food to the time you leave. You will not be disappointed!!!!
Derek at the bar is top notch and always remembers your name with the biggest smile. :)
Josh the GM is always making his rounds greeting the customers and their guest.
Thank you for making "ALL" our experiences at the KEG first class!!!!!!
We decided on a spur of the moment to come down to The Keg on a Friday afternoon. After checking Open Table, the only time left was 4:30. Now I know I'm getting old, but 4:30 is a little early even for me. My 90-year-old father used to go into panic mode about 4:00 pm, anxious to get to the local restaurant for the "early-bird-special" which began at 4:30. Maybe I'm becoming my dad - shudder. Anyway, it was kind of cool having the quietness and just a few other groups eating. We only wanted appetizers, so we ordered off the bar menu. My wife had the French onion soup and one of my prime rib sliders. I had four sliders minus the one for my wife. Besides that, we had the shrimp cocktail. All the food was very good as usual, but what really made everything great was our server, Justin. We had Justin for our server shortly after he started at The Keg, and he seemed a bit nervous, but now he has settled in and he is comfortable with his position. He is efficient, friendly, funny and we really enjoy his conversation - he is also intelligent. He's a good server and a good guy. I'm glad The Keg has him as an employee.
My daughter and I decided to have dinner together. I wanted to sit on the patio to enjoy the nice evening weather. I was surprised that the host does not seat u when u request the patio. We seated ourselves and the servers were not initially aware we were there. No menus No water, No drinks. It would be better that the hosts help
Out. The servers were working their tails off. They could have used the assistance. Once service was established everything went like clockwork. Filet was good not not the best. Still hoping foe a better steak from there.
The food is ok. Not worth the cost of a full meal. It really looks and tasted like appetizers were frozen and cooked in the oven just like as if you were at home. The entree was ok, not much flavor in the steaks, the mushrooms that come with it were highly overcooked and vegetables were dry. Potatoes definitely were from a freezer and then cooked in oven. The food is not fresh food there.
The restaurant is wonderful for a special occasion. The food was excellent except for the calamari. It was rubbery and basically uneatable. We told waiter and he just ignored the comment.
The food and service were far better than a year ago when we last dined at the Keg. We celebrated my husband's birthday with a coupon, so the value was excellent.
