Our server recommended the April special, which was the New Zealand double bone lamb chops with root vegetables, mint chimichurri, and rosemary Demi glaze. Excellent👍❤️😋
We were seated upstairs and I did not like how noisy and claustrophobic it was, however, the staff were quick to move us downstairs and the seating was much better.
My husband and I come here occasionally and the steak is always good, however this time my steak had grisly bits and was tasty but hard to chew. They took off my Keg sized wine from the bill. I thought that was reasonable and fair.
We will be back, of course.
The KEG is ways a gold optio for a good steak. Peefectly done!! I like the quality of their meat and the sides available Still seems a little bit overprced bit I an willing to pay fpr it o ce in a while.
One of several visits we do each year for special occasions - the noise level seemed very high this time. Food was good, although over the 15+ years we've been coming here it seems as though the quality of the steaks is not as good as it used to be.
Had a great evening before the play at the Arts Club. The staff were cognizant of the fact that we had a time constraint and were respectable of it.
Our waiter was excellent, though I felt he had too many tables to care for and was overworked.
We all enjoyed our meals but one gentleman ordered prime rib and it was stringy and he couldn’t cut it. We told our waiter and she immediately took his plate away and got him a fresh slice and it was wonderful
I said when I made the reservation for my friends birthday, usually they bring a piece of “Billy Miner pie” but not this time so was disappointed.
it was busy, and it felt like the restaurant was understaffed. our waiter never refilled our water and didn't seem to have time to ever really check in on us. the food was just okay, nothing special. I remember the steaks being better when I went a few years ago. The restaurant needs a remodeling upstairs, it feels dated and not very warm and comfortable. Same goes with the men's bathroom. Overall, it wasn't that great. It was just okay. Other Keg restaurants are a lot nicer looking.
My wife and I and our 2 friends came for my wife and I's birthday dinner. The food and the service was exceptional. So was the atmosphere. It is a little expensive but you get what you pay for. An excellent experience all round!
Overall all good experience. My prime rib was done correctly, but had been left under the heat lamp too long and had dried the meat out. It tasted nice, but the meat was not like the regular freshly cut, moist tender prime rib.
My wife and I had a great dinner. From when we arrived, during our meal and until we left. The service and our food were top notch. That is why this is our favorite location.
We are seniors and they allowed us to split our salad and prime rib dinner as it was too much for one. Awesome service and food
Surprisingly great for kids! The staff are great with the little ones and the menu affords lots of options for them.
Great place. We have been coming to this Keg location since it opened. Live it, and please do not renovate it! Perfect as is.
Small point ... it is getting a wee bit pricey.
The tuna tartare was not as good as the other locations but overall very good .
Always a wonderful meal at the Keg. We had an enjoyable time. The food was fantastic. Worth the cost.
We went here because it was across the street from the theatre we were going to. We arrived at 7 pm and didn't get our food until 7:45 and had to rush through it to get to the show. The food was okay but pretty basic, and very expensive. The servers were very nice and the manager kindly comped one of the meals which we really appreciated. I would still go here again as the location on Granville Island is great, but I won't do it if I am in a hurry and I would probably just order wine and appies.
Great food as always ...
Had a great meal here with my family (party of 3). The daily special (8 oz steak with vegetables) was the perfect size and delicious. Billy Miner ice cream pie to finish. Service by Shawn was friendly and attentive. Our table was in a windowless room that could have been a Keg anywhere, but the marina is just steps away, so you can easily experience the waterfront before or after dinner. I found the music a bit loud and overly energetic, but I was able to tune it out after a while. I dreaded the usual Granville Island parking nightmare, but on this early weekday (Monday) evening there were abundant free spots nearby. Hope my son continues to have achievements that we can celebrate here!
Great waiter - Eric - his 2nd. day on the job - highly recommended
Excellent server (10/10) for our dinner, however, both our meals were sub-par for The Keg. Ordered Steak Oscar and Steak Lobster combo, both were tough to cut and the steak in the combo was grizzled to the point of not being able to cut through, unacceptable when told the meat was AAA!
Very bad service.
I can only describe this evening as “adequate”. There was nothing actually wrong, but it wasn’t the stellar experience the Keg is capable of providing. The service was....ok. We got ignored after dessert was served. The steaks were....ok. A bit tough, but that’s been true for the last couple of years. To be frank, the White Spot steak is just as good, no tough spots, and a fraction the price. The table, while a nice size and location, seems to get a cold draft - one of our ladies Andes up putting her coat back on. And finally, the waiter (male) kept patting me (male) on the shoulder - he couldn’t have known that that shoulder is badly damaged and painful but it’s still an inappropriate behaviour.
As I said the evening was....adequate..
The food was awesome, but our waiter not topping up our water, came over and cleared the plates without saying anything, didn't ask if we want dessert or coffee. I told him it's my daughter's birthday, but he said nothing and did nothing for her. We were so disappointed we didn't even ordered dessert. We usually go to the Burnaby location, which we always get exceptional services, so the Granville island location was rather disappointing.
Food was great, service was great!! i took my girlfriend there for our 3 year anniversary and the server was wonderful. the food was also amazing. it was nice to have a server that actually knew the wine list and knew the food menu very well.
Wonderful service and a great atmosphere. The food was amazing!!
There’s no cosier place for comfort food on a cold, dark winter night than this Keg. The traditional decor - there’s even a fire blazing! - is just what you want to enjoy the superb prime rib. Service is attentive and the house wines are great value.
Great lunch. Quiet and fun
We like the food, ambiance, and service. We ordered filet mignon, peppercorn New York and Billy Miner pie. All very delicious. Kristy who served us was very nice and attentive. We then learned that Billy Miner pie was named after a train robber.
We loved the coffee ground steak. A new experience but a great one. Good desert as well
As always, steak and lobster, and they were able to split the dish to share on Family Day.
We had a very good dinner and our waitress was excellent! The Granville Keg is our favorite one as the parking is convenient and after dinner we enjoy walking around Granville Island. We were very pleased that my husbands birthday was recognized but unfortunately were not able to enjoy the desert as we were tooo full from dinner! :)
Great service and food.
I really like this place. Always good service, good food and fantastic location
my family had a very good experience at the granville island keg. our server shawn went above and beyond to satisfy our requests. We were seated promptly even though we arrived earlier then our reserved time. great location and food quality was on point.
We went here for the dine out menu as an early valentines celebration. The soup was okay, and the prime rib was much too rare, to the point it was a bit raw. The billy miner pie was pretty good and large in portions, but the brandy drink wasn't very memorable.
Great place for affordable and great steak. Love their prime rib
We came from Whitehorse,Yukon to celebrate our be-lated anniversary at the Keg! Well worth the wait, the flight and the taxi ride! We had the $40. arrangement and it was amaZING!!! We are never disappointed with the food, but this particular meal would easily get one of our top 10 in our lives! And we're kind of old-ish! We enjoyed our waiter, Robert, Very much! He was professional and approachable - and funny!! He made us feel like we were his top priority!
Great meal before a night at Stanley Theatre. Dine out Vancouver made it even better
If you are going for Dine Out Vancouver, make reservations via Open Table. So easy and our table was ready on time.
