Service was excellent. Waitress very upbeat. Prime Rib was good. Nice reno
We were celebrating an anniversary and we're given gift cards for this restaurant. We were greeted by friendly staff throughout our time there. Throughout the meal we were asked by several staff how we were enjoying our meal, if the steaks were done to our liking, etc.. The food was excellent. We would definitely return to this location when a celebration is in order. Thank you.
Food was excellent as usual. However you need to get your old servers back. The level of service is now on par with Grande Prairie (which is the worst service I've gotten anywhere in the world) whereas before the closure your service was always leaps and bounds better than anywhere in Grande Prairie. An empty glass shouldn't need 40 minutes on the edge of the table before it gets topped up. It wasn't a one time thing either, I've noticed it all 4 times I've been there since the re-opening. It used to be that the service made it worth eating at The Keg 10 times out of 10. Now the service there makes it seem expensive... Also turn down the heat in there. The restaurant is consistently too warm, even before the closure. The only restaurant I've ever been to where it would be more comfortable eating naked.
We were anxiously awaiting dining after the new renovations and our wedding anniversary lined up perfectly
We were seated in a timely fashion which was great
My mashed potatoes wernt mashed at all and there was big chunks of potato I left on the side of my plate.
Our kids mini burgers were charcoaled black - neither of them.ate theirs.
My husband had more fat on his prime rib then he did have steak
Pretty disappointing
I recomnend Keg. It is a great place to go for just a dinner or special occadions.
Good. Restaurant is still loud
The restaurant was and is great but I modified the hour of the reservation and they didn't have the modified time. They did accommodate us in the lounge which worked out great.
First time back since the renovations, love the new look. Service was great, very Friendly. My steak was overcooked, I had asked for Medium well, I received well done. Hard to eat, I did not send back, I was hungry and we had been waiting for awhile already. I was complimented my meal, however my stomach was upset all evening. 0139 I was standing over my toilet, something got contaminated. I don't think we will be back for awhile, I have never had a bad experience there before, hopefully they will improve.
The evening was disasterous in the beginning. I booked a table and specifically asked for a quiet location for special anniversary at a table with chairs not a booth as I had mobility problems. On arrival I was shown to a booth in the main area of the resturant . Hostess watched and waited as I struggled up the stairs. I then told them I refused this table based on my written reservation requests. Manager told us all she could offer us was a table in the basement. 2 more flights of stairs. Told her NO. She tells me ...well we have an elevator!..... wow this is news!. Down we go to the bar where it is very loud. .... We were comped a round of drinks and appetizers and the evening began to turn around. Our wait staff were great and so was the food so the evening turned out great in the end. Lesson for The Keg. You must actually READ the notes giving you important information.
Awesome food and service!
The Keg is definitely not the cheapest place in town, however the food and service are consistenty top quality. The atmosphere is a bit load for fine dining, but so are most places theses days. Steaks and seafood items are the best in town. I often wonder why we don't have more locations in Grande Prairie.
Food was fantastic, the restaurant was a bit too dark.
Great service but I wish the drinks had straws. My daughters and I enjoyed the meal
Our waiter was Mathew, he was fantastic.
This was our first visit since the keg make over. It was awesome and we look forward to our next visit. The food was delicious, we had a great night.
thank you
Well first of all, the overall renovations were unexpected. The place looks awesome, it’s modern, pretty, inviting, and the atmosphere is soothing!!!! Well done whoever did the update renovations, they did a fantastic job!!!!! Second of all we were greeted friendly and seemed to be genuinely appreciated for coming in. That was very nice. Third of all the service and our server were really good. So sorry but I forgot her name or I’d give her praise for being outstanding. Best service we’ve ever had. Ok onto the fourth, the food was very, very good!!! That was the best meal we’ve ever had in the Keg!!!! Everything was fresh, not over cooked. The plates were warm, the colours were lovely, and the presentation had exceeded our expectations!!!! Overall our experience was amazing. Well done Keg, Grande Prairie AB. We will be back!!!! Thank- you!!!!!
Great new additions and yet good old favourites. Delicious steak and even better double stuffed potatoes. Service was prompt and professional. Waters filled often and food was presented with thought and character.
Have always been a fan of the Keg. Was looking forward to the renovation and reopening. The entrance was bright and airy (the loud music could be toned down for people waiting for their table. Nice and clean and new. When you leave the entrance reception area you enter darkness. The lighting is far to low. Almost like the are using 15 watt bulbs. Could barely read the menu. Needed a flashlight. Hope they fix it. Just not enjoyable eating when it is so dark. Will probably not return.
The food was excellent and the service, but the newly renovated restaurant does not have enough lighting it’s way too dark and dingy even people coming in after us complained about how dark it is. I do not understand the reason why it’s so dark and poorly lit?!
Mom was in town visiting and took her to the Keg, overall it was a great experience and the new reno's are fantastic
Front end staff were pleasant and professional. New decore is very tasteful. New renovated lay out has better flow and makes more sense, fewer bottlenecks. Waiter, Mikala, was pleasant but hesitant, did not give the specials or offer free dessert for birthday person, which I heard offered at the next table. Ordered a whiskey sour, which is an old school cocktail. Mikala asked what the ingredients were. Maybe there was not bartender on staff that night? Anyway, the drink arrived full of ice, a whiskey sour has no ice in it. And it was very weak, to the point that I suspected that there was no whiskey in it. The prime rib at our table was ordered medium rare but arrived very rare. The person who ordered it was ok with that and ate it anyway, and said it was very good. The appetizer 'Heritage tomatoes and Barrata' was good, although the tomatoes did not appear to be 'Heritage', they were delicious. Everything else was good - the bread, bacon-wrapped scallops, ceasar salad, arctic char.
My new wife and I love to treat ourselves every once in awhile and The keg never disappoints us. We always split a meal and share a dessert as it fills us perfectly.
This was our second time dining at the Keg since reopening. First time wasn't the best but sure made up for it this time. Dissapointed we can't make reservation in bar area downstairs anymore but atmosphere upstairs is greatly improved. Looking forward to next reservation.
Awesome as usual! Great service, great food!
My wife is currently on a restricted diet as per her Doctors instructions. Our Server did an amazing job accommodating her needs and pulled it off flawlessly! This allowed us to enjoy a nice dinner at the Keg without having to worry about upsetting anyone with special requests!
Rochelle did a fantastic job and deserves outstanding recognition. Thank you again:)
Excellent service, food good but for me not hot enough. What happened to the hot bread?
Little dark
Kathy was our server and she was great. She was genuine and very polite. Loved her. The new Keg is awesome. Nice to have a classy place in GP. Keep it up guys!!!
Everything was awesome except for the tiny table. We had 3 adults and a 17 month old, the table was way too small. We ended up having to put things on the ground in order to fit which is less than ideal. Those table ma should be for 3 adults only, any more and they are way too small.
Excellent service and food as expected.
Very good dinning experience, the service was good, the food was good, the atmosphere was great, will be back!
Drink order was wrong. One Food order was wrong. Server was too new to be working alone. When the food order was corrected everything was cold. No effort by management to remove a meal from the bill or make amends in any way.
Food was good! Service was good! The bass on the music was turned up a bit much.
food was excellent as always . see you again in a few weeks
Our service was excellent, from the front door to the waitress and even the bussing staff. The food was excellent, and our complementary dessert was delicious. The only complaint that I have is that I had made reservations because it was our anniversary and we were seated at a very tight table in a high traffic area, and would have preferred somewhere more quiet.
We went to the newly renovated location in Grande Prairie. Disappointed at the fact there was still NO parking, also the restaurant was so dark inside. Difficult to see as they sat us at our table and the menus were hard to read. As always though food and service was awesome!
It was way to dark, the sitting was for 6 would have preferred different table as it was 3 couples and only 2 couples got to sit together the other couple was separated by table
Server was excellent
Everything was great except we felt isolated at our 2 seat table. The view from the table is blocked by the reno design. We would prefer to be in an open space where we could see more.
The restaurant was loud but understandably as it was full.
First visit since reopening. Everything was excellent - food, atmosphere and handicap assessable. Used the elevator which is a great addition to the restaurant.
Food was great!! Really liked the upgrades they did on renovating!
