The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Estate Drive
The Keg never disappoints!
We were looking forward to a “nice” date night out. Having been to other Keg locations we know usually the food and service is great. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and were handed a table buzzer. Multiple other people also commented on the fact that there seemed to be no difference in whether you had made a reservation or not. 20 minutes later, and after many people who came in later than us were seated, I asked how much longer. Staff seemed a little panicked looking for my name and said 2 minutes. Waitstaff was great and food was prompt. But the experience was a little sullied by having to wait 20 minutes for a table that was already reserved, loud background music, and decor just not up to the usual keg standards.
Just caught up with an old friend at a great place to eat. Service was awesome and so was my 10 ounce filet. It was cooked to perfection!
The steak bites were very good, and so were the salads; the sesame tuna was supposedly served on coleslaw, however, the raw mix of veggies didn't taste like a coleslaw at all and was somewhat disappointing.
Yes we enjoyed our meals and service was very good nice evening
The waiter we had was awesome and so helpful and friendly. Our entrées were delicious. My children and I had a wonderful time.
Everything was excellent as usual. Only complaint is the parking is limited on busy nights and had to park at hotel next door.
My husband ordered his steak rare while I had mine medium rare. His food all arrived cold which leads me to think they plated his steak while they waited for mine to cook. When we brought it to the waiters' attention he notified a manager who arranged to have the steak thrown back on the grill and fresh fries and mushrooms. At least they didn't nuke it!
The Keg is always a great choice. The food and service are great. The Estate Rd. location would benefit from a makeover. It's a little dated inside the tables and furnishings don't match the level of food and service provided.
We came there Friday, April 5, 2019 with reservations at 7 PM for six people. We were seated in front of the fireplace before the stairs going down to more seating areas. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of our waiter, but he did of course introduced himself. He was very patient; he provided us with recommendations based on what his favourite items were. He was a white caucasian man, mid fifties to early sixties. He deserves a raise or a really nice compensation!
A few steaks were not cooked as requested and were on the dry side! How does that happen?
This place was over crowd. it seems like too many tables for the amont of space they had. our table was at a really tie conrner back to back with the other party of 10. everytime the waiter try to server eirther party. the guests have to stand up and make room for the waiter to squeeze by to server. bad experiencese with this location. NOT RECOMMEND for hosting important event.
The prices have increased over the year - and the portions are smaller. That is the reason for the 'good' rating on value.
This was the Best steak I’ve had in years . The service was great. The waiter was there and around checking if we needed anything . I was surprised the prices for the dessert was so affordable and kids Menu was affordable as well I decided to drink a few draft beers and they were ice cold that made me very happy the place was very busy and yet they were so organized and I didn’t feel the wait was long and overall
A really great meal with the family
Our server Christine was absolutely amazing. Provided great service.
Our waitress was amazing. And then I was given a surprise slice of icecream cake for my birthday which was so lovely. I will always choose the Keg!
the service at this restaurant was not the best. We had asked for a straw and out waiter came back a few times to bring our bread water sangria etc but did not bring the straws. I go to the keg mansion often and their customer service is amazing.
Server was amazing, experience fantastic. Food here is always consistently good.
Outstanding Server at all times. Quick service despite how busy it was
WE LIKE THE HAPPY HOUR DRINKS, HOWEVER, THEY ARE AVAILABLE AT THE BAR ONLY, NOT AT THE DINING AREA.
THE TOMATO SLAD WAS VERY GOOD, AND SO WAS THE BUTCHER'S STEAK AS WELL.
Service was great!
We have been to many Keg locations and by far this is the worst location ever!
It was a birthday dinner celebration for four and they completely messed up the birthday girl’s entree. She asked for a WELL DONE pistachio crusted salmon with green beans asiago rice instead of the garlic mashed potato and Brussels sprouts and gave her an undercooked plate. We told the waitress about it and she said she will fix it.
The waitress then came back after everyone had finished their plates with the same exact plate she had before but looked like the same salmon that looked like they just threw back in the oven and the outside of the salmon was very hard but the inside of the fish evaporated to mush and removed the green beans and replaced it with Brussels sprouts.
Lastly, like i said in the beginning we’ve been to many Keg locations specially for birthday dinners and special occasions. Not that we care because the table beside us they offered and brought her a cake. This was not offered to us which is very disappointing. The booth seating were horrible and very tight you can’t move at all. The music is not appropriate at all. And just the worst experience weve ever had. That will be the first and last that we will ever go to that Scarborough location. 👎🏽
Got 3 out of 5 orders wrong but addressed the situation once we complained to the waitress. Offered us free dessert to make up for the mistake.
Our server provided excellent service. Very attentive and food was great and plentiful
I wouldn’t recommend this Keg; our food was served lukewarm, cold appetizers served 10 minutes before hot. When brought to the manager’s attention, her response was, “Well, everybody’s different, I guess. The music was loud and not appropriate, we felt, for a higher end restaurant where the visitors were older people with families. This felt more like a roadhouse as opposed to a nice restaurant.
My son also commented that the female hostess dresses were very short and revealing whereas the male host was buttoned up with a bow tie. At 13, he could identify the sexualization and thought it inappropriate.
My advice, find other restaurant to celebrate.
Always a great experience at the Keg. Parking is often troublesome at this location during peak times, but not a huge deal. Provides for a nice short walk after a great meal. The staff is fantastic here where efficiency and friendliness is well calibrated and not too much. Will be back, to be sure, for another bacon-wrapped, blue cheese filet. Can’t be beat.
Service and food was amazing. It was a family day long weekend so it was crazy busy which ruined the romantic atmosphere with my wife a bit. That's not on the Keg though just timing.
Best place for an evening dinner-
Very tasty Newyorker pepper stake. Next time will order the same- GREAT!
I like this location, I've been a few times and it's always been great. The food taste good, it's decent price for what you get and the waiters and waitresses know what's good and give their recommendations.
Food was good. I did notice that the quantity of veggies with dishes was lacking compared to other locations. I had the chicken with the Brussels sprouts...they were almost non existent. And the bacon was not crispy just fat.
Food was fantastic, server was very friendly and dessert was great. Good value for quality of food. We left happy and full 😊
Good food, nice service.
We have dined at The Keg on many occasions, and various locations. We love the food and the service. Today was no exception.
Our waiter was most hospitable and welcoming. We started with a nicely baked Brie. Simply delicious. That was followed by steaks...my wife had the Filet Mignon and I had the Top Sirloin
Both were grilled to our liking. Absolutely tender and tasty steaks. It went down with glasses of Duckhorn cabernet sauvignon wine. Excellent food and wine.
For dessert, our waiter recommended the Billy Miner Pie, with a warning that it could be habit forming...he was right. That mocha ice cream was heavenly.
The decor is not exceptional but nice. The restaurant was full to capacity yet the noise level wad moderate. We could carry on a conversation without straining our ears.
It was an excellent dinner and great value for the money...worth every penny.
The only problem with the restaurant is the lack of sufficient parking space.
Great ambiance- we got a table right by the fire place for our Valentine's dinner!
Food and service was great. Can't complain and the waiter even mentioned a dish that wasn't listed on the menu.
My best restaurant and place ,i love the food and the service ..
Server Nick was amazing. Straight to the point and didn’t interrupt a million times throughout the night. Great food as well.
This is a great keg. I would go again. Be prepared for the crazy parking lot!!!
Food was amazing and the waiter was very kind, helpful and pleasant to be around. For such a busy night we expected to wait a while for are food but we didn’t wait long and all. A+ experience
