The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Colorado Mills
Sunday 3pm - 10pm
The staff was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The food and atmosphere was amazing.
Our waiter, Andy was great. They were out of the wine we ordered, they were out of asparagus, which was part of the special that evening (we had a 6:15 reservation). Two different sizes of filets were ordered at our table and they were the same size. The presentation was not great. The bacon wrapped filet came with a chunk (not even a whole slice) thrown on top. Overall, pretty disappointed.
Conocemos The Keg desde hace muchos años. Siempre nos ha gustado mucho la carne, el servicio y el restaurante. Mantienen un estándar de calidad alto. Gran lugar.
Very good food especially steaks
Clientele can be raucous! Watch the big tables where the corporate expenses gangs hang out if you want to talk to each other
Service very good
Been here 3 times. This was a bad experience. Steak was over then undercooked. Took over 1 hour to get the correct steak.
Our server seemed a bit overwhelmed and when everything after out sale came out overcooked she became scarce
Food as always was very good. our waiter however, asked for our gift card halfway through our meal which was very disruptive. We asked to speak to the manager and he sided with the waiter saying that the restaurant was very busy and this would save him time.
The food was superb, start to finish. The steak seasoning was flavorful without being extreme. And our waiter was attentive and answered all our questions. The one negative was the bar noise but it was not excessive. Making a reservation was easy through OpenTable and highly recommended.
Food was excellent. A bit disappointed when our calamari arrived there was a burnt French fry on the platter. Also when coffee was served, one of the cups was chipped! Also one of the bussers smelled of cigarette smoke. All the young folks who attended to our table had great personalities, and did OK job however, for a $300.00 dinner, a bit more attention to detail would be expected.
Food is amazing and well priced. I love the service, any time we take our kids our server brings us fruit and vegetables before we order. I highly recommend the prime rib at Peppercorn New York steak.
Great atmosphere and excellent food. Everyone was pleasant and service was great. We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and they were able to accommodate us.
It was our New Years dinner and we had a wonderful time. On a cold night, we were seated by a cozy fireplace. Our food was terrific but, more importantly-our server was outstanding!! Thanks guys, for a wonderful evening!
The Keg is a great special occasion destination. The food is consistently excellent. The menu prices have risen in the past year, but it is still a good value. It has hard to find ambiance, with no rushing great service.
The food was great and well prepared. They have a good choice of food. THE HELP WAS GREAT AND FRIENDLY.
Filet Mignon is always melt in your mouth tender and done to your specifications. Sides are generous and always good accompianments. Staff is top notch, helpful, friendly and johnny on the spot.
This Keg restaurant keeps getting better and better! Very much enjoyed the nightly steak special and the shared wedge salad with ranch dressing - Outstanding!
Our food was delicious! The service was outstanding! A great place for a special celebration!
ALWAYS a pleasure!!!
The Keg Steakhouse & Bar is must. There are other steakhouses to choose from (I've tried several) and I have not found any of them that knows how to cook a steak anything close to The Keg.
From the time you walk in the door, until you leave, you will be treated like royalty - this is a great place, but don't tell anyone, let's keep it our little secret.
We dine at this restaurant usually just once a year for the holidays. It's spendy; but each time our meals are great. It's challenging finding an upscale restaurant such as this on the west side of Denver; so this seems to fit what we are looking for. Hubby gets the Baseball Top Sirloin; he says it is absolutely amazing. I got the Steak + Crab this time; steak was wonderful; crab is great - but not a lot of it. Attentive service without being smothering; and I appreciated being sat next to the fireplace on a cold evening. Will enjoy going back again!
We went to the Keg for my son's birthday. I ordered the Steak and Cajun Shrimp, my son ordered the New York Strip, and my wife ordered the Halibut. My and my son's orders came out perfect. My wife's fish was overcooked. The manager came out and offered her a side of sauce to help with the dryness. However, he did not offer to comp her plate or even a portion of it, which was very disappointing. The server, Logan, was phenomenal. If you want a plate with some kind of steak, the Keg is a fine place to go. If you are looking to get fish, I'd recommend somewhere else.
We made reservations to celebrate my husband's birthday a couple week's late as he recently had shoulder surgery and he's in a huge sling. We asked for a bigger table or booth, but were told we could not be given one as the restaurant was busy and there were only two of us. We got seated at a small two person table top which was a pain for him as well as me as I had to jockey his plates back and forth as he could not cut up his wedge salad or his steak. Hence the reason we requested a bigger table. Meanwhile, a huge booth directly behind us was empty the entire time we dined and another big booth next to us had two gentlemen seated right after us and they enjoyed spreading out for their meal. We urged the host and I'm assuming a floor manager to seat us in one of the empty booths, but they just would not even though we had reservations. Definitely made us upset and our evening dining at your restaurant for a special occasion was somewhat skewed. Just wouldn't have expected that from an upscale restaurant like The Keg!
Enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner. Our service and food were excellent! I had the halibut and it was cooked to perfection!
Some of the best steaks we’ve ever had! Our waiter was awesome. We had a great spot right in front of the fireplace.
We went to the Keg for my Husband's 70th birthday and as always it was a lovely meal with friends. I requested a table near the fireplace in a quiet spot and that's exactly what we got. We have never been to the Keg that we didn't have outstanding service and Cindy was no exception. She was just great. We used to really enjoy the bar and would often go in and have a glass of wine and an appetizer until they removed all of the comfortable chairs and replaced them all with bar top tables and chairs crammed in there and totally ruined the atmosphere in our view. We will keep going to the restaurant and won't go back to the bar as it is.
Although we sat in the bar at a 4-top, and I understand it was busy on Christmas Eve, all the food delivered was mixed up. My party of 4 had to spend 10 minutes exchanging the steak, shrimp, and vegetables with each other. After the food exchange, the food was cold. Not a good experience.
The Keg is our restaurant for most of our special occasions. The food is always excellent and the wait staff never disappoints they are helpful and friendly every time. This year we were seated right by the fireplace and on Christmas Eve it doesn't get any better.
I always have a tasty filet and food service when I come here. I miss the downtown Denver location but the one on Colo Mills is still worth the trip!
Christmas Eve dinner with my family. Service was outstanding. The food however wasn’t so special. Chicken tenders way over cooked as was my salmon. Short rib and sirloin were good. Ambiance was nice
Made a reservation for 5 PM. Arrived at 4:45 and we were seated in the bar. We didn’t think that if you made a reservation for the restaurant, you would be seated in the bar area. Ordered dinner and they forgot to bring the asparagus that came with my dinner. I also sat for 20 minutes with an empty water glass. When I ordered the sundae dessert, there was clearly no hot fudge on the desert. When I asked the waitress where was the hot fudge, she replied that it was at the bottom of the dish. I lifted the ice cream to show her that there was indeed, no hot fudge on my dessert. She looked at me and said – – I didn’t make it. And walked away. She then began to have a conversation with someone who look like they may be in charge and they both walked away. I decided to find a manager. He came to the table and I showed him my hot fudge dessert. He apologized profusely and took the desert off of my receipt. I sat there for another five minutes and did not see the waitress. This may be the last time I go to the keg. Very disappointed with the service and the food.
My first visit. Andy was our server and he was awesome. Food was better than I expected.
Good food; prime rib and steaks were good great but the knives were dull and made cutting quite difficult (interesting, never experienced this at a restaurant before); service was great except between mail course and dessert the staff did not return for quite some time.
Delicious food and great service. Good selection of food and drinks. We had a great sangria.
The only complaint that I have is that it was much too hot. There are two fireplaces, and with those going, and a full house, the heat level was way too high. I asked if the air could be turned on but nothing was done. Food is great, and the service was very friendly.
We have been here several times and the food is always outstanding. The service however is wildly inconsistent. Bread seems to take forever and it does not appear they ever have enough baked or cooking at one time.
Appetizers come at different times instead of all at once as do soups and salads
Dirty and empty plates are left on tables as servers and staff walked right by
The ambience and food are always outstanding but plan a long dinner evening because of slow service.
Our only disappointment was the noise level. Since we are into the Christmas celebration time of year we do understand the parties going on, but we could not hear each other or our waiter, at our table. It was really too loud to enjoy our food, or out celebration of family.
Always have our family Christmas dinner here. Nice, leisurely dinner and good atmosphere. Staff is always very accomodating.
We all had great food and good service. One of my favorites in that part of town
Always impressed by this wonderful restaurant. Would be regular (both the dining and the bar) if it was located on the southern end of Denver (I reside in Castle Rock).
