Overall a disappointment. The only good thing was the soup. Brie had way too much honey overwhelming the dish. One of lamb chops were gamey, second was fine; enough potatoes and green beans to feed a family of 4 to make up for 2 lamb chops. Salmon was way overcooked, like a hockey puck. Go elsewhere!
December 2, 2017 girls weekend. My first time at this Restaurant. Love the Inn our food was good but my salmon was dried and burnt. Not happy at all. Our waitress was wonderful and I mentioned it to her and the dessert was on the House. So they did the right thing.
Overall really great food inspired by local ingredients
Roasted pistachio nuts in beet salad were way overdone, beets, local, fantastic flavor
Braised beef ribs outstanding
Chicken special with goat cheese was very good but came with an orchid on top??? Weird
Desserts were good except that the excellent chocolate torte came with whipped cream out of a can, pumpkin gelato Sunday was very refreshing and a perfect end to the meal

Took my wife here for the first time; we reserved for 6:00 and were seated right away but by 7:00 all seats were taken. We both enjoyed our meals; everything on the menu sounds great. There was plenty of vegetables; which we appreciated. Great dining experience, we will be back.
We had a group of 7 for a special gathering, people from out of state, together for the first time in several years and tied by loss. The venue was beautiful and historic, the menu was delightful, but the server was surprisingly brusque, as if we had intruded on her private space. She came to the table and asked if wanted drinks without giving us a wine list. Then came to the table and said she planned to take the entire order, "I'm taking it all at the same time." I told her no, we would order our appetizers first and order dinner later. After we settled that, she went through the motions competently, but our entire party was could not believe that I had to coach her on proper service. Our group enjoyed the meal, the food was good, but I don't think any of us will return because the service was so sorely and surprisingly inadequate.
We used Matt's catering service for our wedding in September 2016. I wanted to surprise my wife on our anniversary so I brought her to Matt's restaurant. Just like the catered food a year ago, the restaurants food was as delicious and amazing. We'll definitely come back again for dinner. Keep up the good work!
This restaurant was a Birthday dinner surprise whilst staying on Long Island.
Hayley (lovely English lady) was our host and she was amazing. Attentive, honest and made our evening a special one.
The building is beautiful and fascinating.
The food is out of this world and I'm a fussy eater!
I had the fried Brie encrusted with almonds as a starter and it was divine. Other highlights for our party were the beetroot salad, duck pate and figs! All were high grade, beautifully presented and tasted amazing.
My main was the duck (cooked to my liking) as did two others and a steak for the other person.
I have NEVER had such good food. Again beautifully presented but more importantly tasted out of this world! Not small portions so don't overfill on bread beforehand.
I have eaten in many Michelin starred restaurants and I'm surprised this isn't one of them. It certainly should be.
A wonderful meal, superbly looked after by the wonderful Hayley and a great time was had by all.
If you are visiting North Fork or Riverhead then you must eat here. It's not expensive and you will eat like kings and queens and have an amazing time.
I can't recommend this place more.

We treated a friend for her birthday to lunch at the Jamesport Manor Inn. She had wanted to go there but never had. She began raving the minute we arrived about the beautiful location and grounds, the tasteful comfortable decor and the food, the FOOD was out of this world. For appetizers we had cinnamon maple butternut squash soup that was so flavorful and silky, fried Brie that we moaned over. Our peach cosmopolitans were delicious and refreshing. The entrees we chose were the filet mignon sandwich on ciabatta, chicken pesto Parmesan on ciabatta and the BLT lobster roll on a brioche bun, all served with pickles and French fries with truffle oil. Each offering was faultless! It was the perfect birthday lunch
This lovely Victorian mansion with appropriately elegant decor offered an imaginative menu with lots of fish and vegetarian options as well as duck and lamb for my carnivore husband. The wait staff was friendly and informative (one busboy said nary a word nor smiled, but the other folk with whom we interacted more than made up for his lack of warmth--and he was a kid, maybe pinch-hitting for the evening. Although we ate indoors, we would certainly return in warmer weather to dine al fresco in the welcoming garden.

Our table was next to a window with lovely view. My husband enjoyed the oysters on half shell, and a perfect lamb dish for main course , which came with green beans , potato fingers. I had a tasty fillet mignon with whipped potatoes and green beans , all delicious. We couldn't miss desert, crème brulee and I had 3 scoops of special flavors gelato, yum. we look forward to our next visit. Just one little note.
The four people at table next to us were loud and we heard all about the vacation etc. Maybe I should have asked for another table since most tables were empty at 5pm.
