Jurema Terrace at The Mandrake
Pre theatres dinner. The Ivy, as usual, was outstanding! One of our favourite place to dine when we’re in Lindon!
Had a lovely lunch here, the service was professional and fast. Food was lovely and tap water offered instead of positioning bottled water on table.
I have no hesitation in recommending The Ivy Market Grill.
I will be returning.
First visit for myself and I wasnt disappointed, fantastic service and lovely food, I chose the eggs Benedict and it was delicious. I will book again soon.
A very comfortable and welcoming option for late night dining in covent garden, just a short walk or taxi ride from theatre land. Less expensive than The Ivy with similar old world vibe if fewer exciting menu options.
The Ivy was just as expected. The food was excellent and the bar tender was great whislt we wIted for our table. The waitress didn't appear to listen to us. She asked if we would like more drinks we said yes and she walked off. We had to ask another waitress for drinks after which she returned to ask if we needed more drinks. Apart from this we all had a lovely time. More attention please!
My first time here...Loved everything about it..I will return as soon as I can..
Very glad I chose Ivy Market Grill for a light after-concert supper. It was a rainy Thursday night after 9:30pm, so not mobbed. Compact table for two in the bar area was okay for one, but if the bar had been busy, I think it could be cramped and barged into by bar patrons. Delicious shepherds pie and good green salad, reasonable prices for wine. I'll be back!
Everything about our visit was amazing, would happily recommend this restaurant to all.
Went 12/12 Wednesday at 6:30pm. Pre theatre so it was busy. Cosy atmosphere (which I enjoyed but expect to use a torch in order to read your menus). Food was rich and lovely. I especially enjoyed the truffle stuffed mushroom in my vegetarian shepherds pie that looked like a bone marrow. Lobster risotto also really great. Kingston(?) bottled sparkling water was sweet and enjoyable. There wasn't enough space at reception area to manage cloakroom and to usher groups of people. Hostess in red was impatient, didnt see that we were in the middle of sorting out cloakroom and appeared to have thought it was just us not understanding her directing us to be seated. Waiter also kept on cutting into our conversation by serving into our faces. I appreciate that it was during pre theatre and it's one of the busiest times of the year, maybe ask when we first arrive whether we are going to catch a show or not to determine if we are part of the pre theatre crowd who wish to be rushed through our meal?
Really enjoyed our trip. Although the lighting was rather too dark. Making it difficult to read the menu. Our waiter was particularly friendly and offered great service. Which we mentioned to his manager.
Me & my partner had been looking forward to visiting The Ivy for months & it lived up to our expectations!!
Having been shown to our table which couldn't have been in a more perfect position where we could relax & indulge in our own space making it more special for both of us,
Presentation & food was lovely, we had the champagne afternoon tea & we would recommend visiting The Ivy
We had a lovely lunch, the staff are welcoming and friendly you are able to have a fabulous relaxed experience with the standards being exceptional for both food and drinks.
Great service and food, will definitely come back!
Been a number of times and usually good - this time, the Scallops starter was bland and the quality of the Steak for main was poor.
We (the two of us) were looking forward to a pleasant evening in a nice restaurant. I still believe that the Ivy Market Grill is a nice place. However, we were disappointed. We were seated at a small table in the back of the restaurant next to the door of the toilet for disabled persons. There were no disabled guests at the time but the toilet was used by other guests. This seating did not have a positive effect on our experience. . Dinner was O.K. but not so good that it could compensate for the poor seating.
As Usual always very good
Food was fine, setting good, however our waiter was miserable and did not want to be there.
Lovely 80th birthday brunch with my mum. Staff were attentive, food was delicious. Would definitely do this again!
I booked a table for 4 when I meant 5. The wonderful Italian lady at the front desk sorted me out, during a very very busy period. Food was great, wine was wonderful and great service.
Receptionist was very rude (seems like everyone was having an issue with her). Wouldn’t seat us without reservation and open table had a ton of availability so we were able to leave restaurant and came back in under 10 minutes which was silly
We booked last minute and were delighted to get a table. The Ivy was packed as it’s the lead up to Christmas. As usual the staff and food was on point - if you haven’t already try the zucchini friti- they are fabulous. Definitely a place to go if you want some great food in the Covent Garden area xx
Food fresh, tasty and definitely worth going again. Welcome was warm. Waiter good. Only negative -slightly too dark to see menu properly - minor problem.
Took 20 mins to take our drink order, it was a business lunch and we were asked to leave the table at 5pm despite not being served our food until 4.10! Was moved outside where it was freezing and raining.
So squashed in we had to disturb 3 tables to leave our own table.
Food very nice, drinks very expensive.
Great place for team lunch or dinner, wide menu option, great ambience and decor.
I would recommend to a friend overall as food was good and service was good and apologetic but I did find it very irritating that we were asked to leave our table after 1 hour and 30mins - this is new record !
Most places allow you 2 hours for a sitting but they were very busy and needed our table to join 3 tables together for a big group. We did not want to sit at the bar, so in the end we moved to another table until we had finished our cups of tea. I'm not sure what would have happened if we had ordered dessert.
Went here for my sisters surprise birthday, have a lovely afternoon food was good prices, the own down fall was the service waited 25 mins before our order of drinks was taken, when are drinks arrived we then expected our choices of food to be taken. We then had to call another waiter over to take our choice of food. Food came super quick. Overall was a lovely experience but super noisy.
Food was ordinary, expensive for what it was and Luke warm
Lovely food, friendly and helpful staff as always. I always enjoy my visits to this iconic restaurant.
The food was excellent service was a bit slow as drinks were ordered and were slow in coming ,the fish and chips we had,and the shepherds pie were good and hot ,and we thoroughly enjoyed
Booking a table was easy. The table was good and well-positioned so not in the direct flow of service. It seemd quieter than when I was last there. Reception at the door most welcoming and helpful. It was Sunday night and there had been a "rush" on so a couple of things were "off" the menu. No problem! Alernatives tasted really great, the fish was delicious and the homemade sourdough bread special. Attentive service.
Service was excellent. Food was good. Table not great as we were placed by door that opened onto outdoor eating space so quite chilly. Would go back.
Another fantastic meal at The Ivy!
We have dined here a number of times before & its always consistent as is the service.
Sometimes the food is very good but sometimes its not, but its in a great location & the staff make up for any inconsistencies in the quality of the food.
We had the most amazing experience. Food superb fantastic ambience and seating spacious
Amazing from start to finish. Service and food excellent.
Good range of choices on the menu, excellently cooked supported by attentive but not overwhelming service. My only criticism (as with many British restaurants) is the exorbitant price one has to pay for a bottle of wine! It simply adds a degree of negativity to eating out!
Booked a table to dine pre- theatre for my daughter and I to celebrate her 18th birthday. We were delighted with the service, food and general atmosphere of the restaurant. Ending with a surprise complimentary birthday cake ( highlight the occasion in the open table booking!) the over all experience was excellent. Will definitely be returning soon.
Amazing attentive service and great quality food. Worth every penny.
Excellent food and service.
The staff were so attentive and the flavour of the food was amazing
Wow. The food is great. The ambience is perfect
