Absolutely love The Ivy Cafe, Covent Garden. It's a treat and such good value for money in the best place in London. All of it is first class. Absolutely love it and all staff in it. Beautiful building and loos too!
First time there with my wife. We had a fabulous time. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. The ambience transports you back in time. And I would highly recommend the Parmesan truffle fries. Delicious.
everything was first class, all staff very friendly and helpful
Extremely friendly and helpful service! Great food!
The food arrived without delay and the service was excellent, although it did become quite noisy which is expected at the very busy lunchtime period. The food was tasty and fresh.
Wonderful evening - great food and fantastic service.
Quality food, wine and service made it worthwhile paying a small premium above alternative pre theatre dining options in the Covent Garden area. Would definitely return and recommend to friends.
Surprise visit for my wife’s birthday. As soon as you walk in it’s hits you. Everything from music, surroundings were perfect, if you love that sort of thing. The staff again could not fault them, didn’t catch our waiters name but he was superb. The food was amazing. We ended up having three courses with a bottle of fizz. The cost very reasonable. Definitely would recommended The Ivy
Apart from a bad avocado, the grill is always good.
The early evening set menu was great value for money and the food was delicious. The choice of wines, by the glass, was reasonable, but expensive.
Service was friendly but the music was a bit too load to make it easy for us to chat and for our server to take our order without a number of repeated attempts.
The restaurant was almost full and there was a nice nice buzz in the air, with lots of happy diners.
We’ll be back!
The whole experience is good from start to finish
Excellent and attentive staff
Wish we had the opportunity to visit more frequently
Excellent food and excellent service. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
This was our first time here, though we have been to other Ivy restaurants. It was a very good meal in pleasant surroundings and I can recommend this restaurant as a place worth visiting. Thank you.
Aboslutely first rate dinner with friends. The service was friendly but impecable. The food exquisite but without being pretentious. The ambience is warm wood with an inviting bar and lots of lovely touches to remind one of the theatrical location. Highly recommended.
Excellent restaurant right in the heart of theatre district and Covent Garden. We were not rushed and given the appropriate level of attention by the staff, the food was great and very tasty. The drinks were a bit pricey but probably on a par with other establishments in that area.
The food was essentially dull. I had the prawn cocktail which had a smell of a washing-up bowl and the shepherd's pie which I thought was a signature dish but was deeply disappointing and inadequately seasoned
Excellent venue first class food and service which provides for an ideal night out in Covent Garden
Very over-priced for what it is. Food, service and wine are all very average so not good value for money at all
Food was good,nice and tasty.
Service has to improve.
You are waiting to long for a drink,I order a glass of champagne, arrived at the table once I finished my starter.
I order 3 espresso coffee, after the meal,We wait other 15 minutes, arrived cold and was not even close to a espresso,so I ask the manager,to take it off the bill,he did it,but what a shame, answering to me that in London this is how you going to have all the time your espresso.
Dear manager,Critics are constructive not personal.
You will have a long way before you understand the basic of hospitality if you talk to your customers that way.
Hostess who seats you was not too friendly and not professional
A bit hit and miss. The food is great and the service is friendly BUT the problem is they aren’t able to handle anyone with allergens or food intolerances. I mentioned from the start that I had a dairy intolerance and this is how it was handled. We were eating off the pre-theatre menu, I was told there were no starters without dairy so I could have a green salad (it’s the Ivy I expect better) the alternative was to order a starter from the a la carte menu which I’d have to pay extra for (not great service). I ordered the Jackfruit Bang Bang salad, it was lovely (at the end of the meal they did tell me I could have it as part of the set menu price, nice save but…). My main was the seabass, quite nice I ordered olive oil mashed potatoes to go with it and was told it contained butter and cream as it was put before me, so I couldn’t have it (but was still charged) I managed with a few of my friends chips. By this time I felt it would spoil the night for me and my friends if I made a further fuss. Given the lack of care I didn’t even attempt to find a non-dairy dessert or coffee. If you have any dietary requirements it’s probably best to stay away (or take your EpiPen with you!).
Another great meal
Food was not impressive - over cooked n slightly cold. Service excellent but food terrible - would not recommend to be fair.
I use The Ivy a lot for meeting friends and having lunch meetings. The service is always at a high standard as is the food. The ambiance is great and I love it there!
Perfect breakfast ı haf
I love the relaxed feel of this place. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The fish and chips was amazing.
A lovely experience. The duck starter is amazing. Service was fab, everyone was very attentive. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend to all.
Delicious and unusual food. Great vegetarian selection, and I highly recommend the rice balls to start with. The service was excellent and the house wine very good. The tables are quite small and close together, however, which makes group conversation tricky
Thank you for a perfect champagne breakfast for my daughter’s 18th birthday.
Food, service and atmosphere was fantastic and the little birthday cake surprise from the Ivy team was a lovely touch.
Thank you, it was a special start to her 18th birthday day.
We shall look forward to returning soon!
Been a few times for lunch but first time for breakfast- lovely food and good value for breakfast
Great food and service. But you're packed in - makes for a nice atmosphere, but too close to other people in my opinion.
From the minute we walked in to the minute we left we were treated very special and was so well looked after.thank you!
Early evening booking, which I asked to change at short notice to an earlier time and it was possible. Very nice food as usual and great service from Firat. Very busy so a little noisy, but a great atmosphere
This was the second time we have visited the restaurant. This trip was as good as the last. Not a cheap meal but very good quality. Tables are quite close together. Recommend tables away from the door as its a very busy area and a chill wind blows! We had a table deep inside and were well looked after by the staff
Thought it was very disappointing. We are very happy to pay good money but the food was distinctly average. Steak tough as old boots. Won’t go again but judging by the queues to get in we’re a minority and didn’t get the feeling our business was really wanted or needed. All a bit robotic although the waiters did the best they could. A shame as we ate in the Ivy just before Christmas which was the same money and an awful lot better and our patronage clearly valued.
Lovely meal at the Ivy, service was excellent and the restaurant had also remembered that it was my friends birthday and brought a small cake out at the end of the meal.
What a fabulous enjoyable time spent in beautiful surroundings service food and everything first class
Always a great atmosphere and very good service. Varied menu so something for everyone.
Our poached eggs on avocados were too salty but manager was called and he replaced with what we wanted. It’s a classy joint remains our favorite.
