Lovely atmosphere and very good attentive service. Food was excellent with a large, varied menu
Great breakfast. Good location
Wonderful experience at brunch as always.
Lovely atmosphere - sophisticated but friendly, intimate but sociable.
Absolutely fabulous loved it the food was amazing and the service impeccable
We took my husband there for his birthday, after the theatre, and had a wonderful meal. The atmosphere is relaxed and buzzing. Staff were incredibly helpful and service was excellent. Food was delicious and they brought out a birthday dessert at the end. A lovely evening all round.
Lovely meal at The Ivy Market grill. Food was served hot, unfortunatley so was the glass my drink was in !! ..My only gripe really. So overall excellent, and I think good value.
All good - device a little slow but acceptable. Good for pre theatre dinner although we chose the a la carte.
The restaurant was busy so the atmosphere was very good.
I would say the food was average and at times the service was slow.
This was a birthday dinner and I would say it was just OK.
Service and food was really good except chips were overlooked but everything else was excellent .table was ready when we arrived and although place was full food was out quickly
Its very busy , need to book, as you would expect in the heart of Covent Garden. Even though we booked 3 months before our visit, we were given a small table where there was not really room for a table just off the walkway and waiters constantly squeezing past behind. It's far to noisey with tables so close together. Service and food were what you would expect for the price, of decent quality but not exceptional.
Prefer the Birmingham branch to this one.
Another fun meal at my favourite Ivy
Always lovely to eat in this restaurant, staff friendly, and kept my iPhone charger for me when I left at my seat.
Lovely post theatre meal, just wish there was more choice on the menu. Staff could have been slightly more attentive. However overall a great night with a great atmosphere.
Excellent experience and very enjoyable. Everything was perfect and a very good time we had. Definitely will be booking again very soon!
Lovely atmosphere and excellent staff. The restaurant had a nice buzz 😍
Fantastic food and service for a pre-theatre/ Birthday celebration meal. Every dish was exceptional and made better by the excellent service.
Fantastic restaurant. The staff are really friendly and the food was outstanding. Will definitely be visiting again.
Great food and great drinks! The Ivy is perfect every single time. A perfect place to take someone visiting London! You have to try the Fish & Chips!
Really welcoming great service in fact everything was great
Service impeccable - attentionné et pro - la carte est généreuse et les plats sont excellent - une valeur sur
Had the chicken bourguignon which was dry, tasteless and stiff as a board - unpleasant to eat. I should have sent it back but with typical British reserve I didn’t. The tables are also too close together.
The food is always good and the service is excellent. The staff are polite and efficient
Good venue to meet friends, food is reasonably priced but drinks overpriced
Bottle of sparkling water £7.50😩
Amazing breakfast, really nice food and a lovely relaxing atmosphere
I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s trading on a name, the food was very poor quality (clearly frozen fish) the staff inattentive and the tables crammed in so you share your meal with a minimum of four strangers. Never again will I go here. It’s not “the ivy” it’s “the poor mans ivy”
Overall it was a nice dining experience, but with some areas for improvement. The staff seemed a little overworked and struggling to cope with the number of diners. The tables were jammed so close together that you are unwittingly having a group conversation with your neighbours. A little more space would improve the experience but this is prime central London/main tourist zone, so perhaps it’s to be expected. The food quality was good, and the staff are professional, they just have too many tables for the number of waiters.
Service was excellent but the seating area was cold.
Lovely evening meal, great food and great service. Definitely will be back
Very enjoyable. Good service. Reasonably-priced house wine. The apple tart was excellent.
Unfortunately we had a bad experience at the Ivy Grill - the service was horrendous. We felt our waitress was pretty off and we had to chase her for our Prosecco order which arrived after we’d finished starters but had been ordered first off when we sat down. We also had to chase our sides order which was forgotten when mains were delivered.
The cheese platter was poor with some limp lambs lettuce on the side and no chutney or jam for the crackers and cheese!
Ruined night out and a waste of our money if honest.
Excellent food well presented . I cannot fault it. Tables a little close to each other
Beautiful food. Friendly, welcoming service. A tad slow on clearing table and topping up drinks but overall really good
As a disabled person, the 26 stairs to the toilets was a little bit difficult for me. I must admit I didn’t ask if there was a lift somewhere else in the restaurant. On hindsight perhaps I should have. Otherwise everything was perfect.
Great food, relaxing atmosphere but really slick service. Definitely coming back!
Never eaten here before but had been recommended by friends.
The decor is lovely and service was excellent.
I had liver parfait and friend had the courgette fries. My parfait was excellent. I just wish there was more toast rather that 1 slice if bread.
Never tried ourgette fries and didn't really want to but she left so much that I did. They were fantastic and I loved the sauce it came with.
I had fish and chips and she had some veggie baba ganoush dish which she loved but I didn't fancy trying.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be back.
A buzzing restaurant, but not noisy. Perfect table for two near the bar. Attentive, quick service. Perhaps only negative could be that the food arrived too fast! But it was hot and tasty. A suitable time left before we were asked if we would like a dessert. Can recommend the chocolate bomb for the surprises in tastes and textures. My second visit so would recommend. Great location.
Very friendly, efficient service. The pre-theatre menu we chose was limited but the food was delicious.
Went for a quick lunch on a Tuesday - extensive menu, fairly attentive service, good food. Tables and seating was a little cramped but I liked the restaurant and would go back.
I wouldn't recommend for breakfast, it was pretty average and a little over priced for what it was. Staff were ok but not the friendliest and lots of them!!!
Great service, relaxing atmosphere and a mini cake brought out to my daughter even though we only had breakfast, was a lovely touch
