Ivy Kensington Brasserie
Sample our extensive range of quality food and delicious cocktails at your leisure from breakfast until late, whether you are a local resident, work close by or are visiting some of London’s best loved landmarks such as The Royal Albert Hall.
Our garden terrace is situated at the back of our restaurant and provides the perfect respite away from the hustle and bustle of the high street. Adorned with flowers and foliage, it is the perfect spot to soak up the sun during the summer months. Due to the nature of British summer our terrace cannot be booked ahead, so please just pop in.
Open seven days a week and comprised of a main restaurant, bar and a semi-private table for ten for an extra special experience, The Ivy Kensington Brasserie provides the perfect setting for any occasion.

Quality meat in our burgers but otherwise simple offering. Ambience and staff made the evening x
Nice place, but a little bit too noisy for my liking.
Lovely venue. We went for breakfast and all our dishes were delicious. The service staff was very attentive and kind. One person in the party turned 18 on the day of our visit and they kindly brought a complimentary cake and birthday candle. I highly recommend the ivy Kensington.
Excellent ambience (ie not too noisy not too quiet) great decor, excellent service, good but not excellent food) - not expensive, not cheap, a fair price. This is why I have eaten at Ivy Kensington 6 times.
Lovely! We will be back! Pre show dining was great value - shame to be in a hurry! x
Difficult communicate with the staff.
No deaf awareness!
Lovely restaurant. Good atmosphere and excellent food.
A very elegant interior, a nice bar, well spaced tables, attentive service and great food. My only complaint is that the wine is unremarkable at the "value" end of the list, and way too expensive anywhere south of the value end. I should also add that the menus are way too complicated/extensive/small print, it would be more sensible to offer a pared down menu appropriate to the time of day and normal dining conventions.
My first time ever in London and at The Ivy. Food was soooo good and service and ambiance was amazing too.
The whole experience was totally wonderful, from drinks at the bar to the most beautiful food, and service.
Paul & Kate Holland
The staff went above and beyond our needs to accommodate a party of 8 people with 2 birthdays.
You cannot go wrong with any of the Ivys , always excellent food, wine & service.
Amazing service and food 100% recommend to any one
Only issue was the toilets, quite dirty and messy.
The steak ribeye was undercooked not hot expensive for what it is definitely would not have order it again or recommend it to anyone
The fish and chips and mushy peas looked nice but once on plate one piece of cod was overcooked chips wasn’t hot mushy peas awful.
The service was very bad, once seated the water took more than 15 mins to take our drinks order, which was frustrating as the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy. We both ordered salmon - it had no taste and was awful. We complained and basically nothing else was available on the menu, so ended up with meals that were not also not that great so the value for money wasn’t great. So overall not a great experience
The grill wasn't working on day which meant 80% of the menu wasn't available. We were limited to eating what we didn't want to. To top it up nothing was offered in return to compensate for this. They could've offered may be a free drink or something from the started menu. Anyway, it was disappointing. I hope you pick up your service.
Very disappointed unable to offer many dishes because grille wasn’t working. Sorry is not enough on these occasions. Then to be offered tea or coffee on the house very poor. Had I known before hand I would have cancelled my reservation.
Friendly staff, made to feel at home despite a busy night. Can’t fault the service, drinks or food
Once again, the Ivy does not fail to impress. Despite a kitchen issue with the grill, the place was buzzing with couples on Valentine's evening. The quality of the food was excellent and the service was almost impeccable. It's a must to dine here of an evening whenever we visit London.
Great food and drink, amazing friendly staff who make you feel welcome, and great value for money!

This branch of the Ivy Brasserie is not up to standards with the others and does not reflect the great training the Caprice holding is renown for.
From the moment of booking the information was all mixed up and quite abruptly delivered. I was told that there wouldn’t be any set menu on Valentine’s but that was not the case. And the communication via email lacked any sort of customer service skills.
Once arrived we got given a table that was so squeeze between the other two that was quite difficult to sit around. The grill wasn’t working, so a good 80% of the dishes weren’t available and nothing was given to us in order to compensate for this. Quite disappointed.
The food was great as usual though, which saved the experience!
We were disappointed that there were many dishes unavailable due to grill problems but we were not informed of this until seated in the restaurant. Staff were attentive and tried to compensate for this problem.
Excellent food, service, lovely staff, lovely restaurant. Thanks for having us.
Fully disappointed. Had lunch last 14th of February, online it says you can only order set menu. Upon arrival we were told that they have a problem with the kitchen so there’ll be a delay in service. Upon ordering, we were told that griller was not working and so you cant order any steak and some other mains. This was after we already ordered our drinks. So annoying that you have to be left to eat with limited choices and wasnt informed about the problem right away.
Service excellent, food was average, I had fish & chips, batter too thick, not alot of fish.
Lovely meal as usual.
Lovely restaurant with the great atmosphere. However I feel like the service wasn’t not up to a great standard and let us down. The waiter spilled the meat sauce on the table, then he tried to wipe it off but it left a big dirty and wet mark right in front of me. What was interesting is that he didn’t seem bothered about it, he didn’t even try to change the table cloth or cover the stain with a napkin. I had to call somebody else to ask to do something about the stain. Not only it was looking disgusting but I also worried that it might mark my sleeve. They covered it then. But that’s really not acceptable for places like this!
Its nice to have a local Ivy (but its just not the same as West St). Décor and ambience is lovely - service good (but see next bit) and the brunch food was lovely. My coffee was ordered with a jug of cream - sadly the cream was off! took several efforts to get someone's attention and then waited ten minutes for it to be replaced. I was just told the cream was in date so it must have been near something hot in the kitchen. wasn't too much of an issue for me but seemed even less of an issue for the staff. Hey ho, it was only coffee - but I did sniff all my other food that may have included cream!!!
Honestly, the food wasn’t quite as good as the Edinburgh Ivy. Still tasty though. The staff took 25 mins to take out order, 15 to give us menus, but then we’re intensely keen on grabbing our plates when we weren’t finished.
Overall I very much enjoyed the Ivy Kensington Brasserie, the atmosphere, decor, and service were all great, and my companion was very happy with his food ... unfortunately my main course, the boneless half-chicken was poor... tough, and seemingly pre-cooked, so dry... I do plan to return again, and will try another menu choice!
We went for a 9 am birthday breakfast for two. The service was excellent and friendly. The food was good, tasty and fresh fruit bowl although maybe too much banana for a real mix. And given that London has great bread these days, the granary toast had little flavour.
Fantastic food , the service was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice, only complain is that is very high noise level in the restaurant
Excellent service with value for money food. I look forward to my next visit.
My self and 2 colleagues had dinner with you on Feb 10th 2020. Overall the food was quite nice. However the soup we had was quite tasteless, and fillet steak was served very cold! it was cooked medium so no reason to be cold. The waiter did re grill for a minute to warm through. My sides were by then cold! A shame for the Ivy, as we were looking forward eating with you. Not a great dinner for the money!
Kind regards, Johnathan Pulley.
Best brunch location for amazing british food and service.
Would definitely recommend, been there 6 times and never got disappointed!
Excellent service, food and overall experience. A really special venue. Well done.
Always a great atmosphere, service professional and food delicious
The service was excellent right from the door. We were given an great table close to the bar.
The atmosphere was buzzy but we had no trouble conversing.
Not the most economic evening but worth the price.
A special mention for the service which the right balance of attention without feeling that we were being rushed.
Our second visit and we will be back.
Excellent food, staff and ambience. Very accommodating to us as we mistakenly arrived an hour early.
