Ivy Kensington Brasserie
Sample our extensive range of quality food and delicious cocktails at your leisure from breakfast until late, whether you are a local resident, work close by or are visiting some of London’s best loved landmarks such as The Royal Albert Hall.
Our garden terrace is situated at the back of our restaurant and provides the perfect respite away from the hustle and bustle of the high street. Adorned with flowers and foliage, it is the perfect spot to soak up the sun during the summer months. Due to the nature of British summer our terrace cannot be booked ahead, so please just pop in.
Open seven days a week and comprised of a main restaurant, bar and a semi-private table for ten for an extra special experience, The Ivy Kensington Brasserie provides the perfect setting for any occasion.
Great service, great food, great vibes! Would recommended anytime.
Better than my expectations!! It's a must go place
Everything was perfect
Fabulous restaurant, with highly attentive and welcoming stsff. The atmosphere is one of fine dining, but relaxed for any occasion,
Decent food and quality. Service was good. Value for money.
Service was very slow. We were going to order dessert but because the waitress took so long, she did not even clear the table or give us a dessert menu, we just paid for our meal and left
WE HAD A GREAT EVENING
WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT TO ALL WHO KNOWS ME.
Lovely restaurant and delicious food. Beautiful deco, like stepping back in time!
Nicely presented restaurant, staff very attentive. The noise level was quite high initially so we struggled to hear the waiter at times but he got our order correct. The prices were ok for London and we all enjoyed our meals.
Lovely building and place to be, but the food was really quite basic for the price, and didn’t seem up to original Ivy standard. I.e poached eggs were hard, coffee and tea was warm not hot. Not major things but not what you expect. Felt underwhelming for my first visit to any ivy restaurant.
Squeezed into a table near the door while the rest of the place was empty and being set up for lunch, just didn’t feel special at all.
Great food, friendly staff. Shame we had to wait 15 mins for our table. Very nice atmosphere.
Terrible service, waitress argued that the white wine (which was £40 a bottle) was cold enough when it was only at room temperature! They offered to put it in an ice bucket but would not allow us to have the ice bucket anywhere near our table.
Over priced, over rated, noisy and dark! We booked weeks in advance but were squashed on a table of four when there was six of us. Our bill had other people’s drinks charged to it and nearly a £40 service charges added without being asked.
Toilets did not work, no running water. Waiterress was sent in with two bottles of water to flush toilets but told ladies they could only have a wee and not a poo!! Shocking for £90 per head.
Absolutely superb food, excellent and attentive staff. Very busy night but this didn't faze the staff at all.
Tolles Essen und toller Service. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und auf Zack.
The quality of the food was excellent and the service from our waitress could not have been better.
We had a wonderful champagne afternoon tea. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was quite noisy but that may just be due to the acoustics of the building
Great buzz in the place
Ideal lunch spot but tables are too close together, fine if you want to get intimate with neighbours, not so great if you want to get intimate with your date.
Very nice food, nice cosy feel to restaurant, quite busy had to wait a while for drinks.
Although we enjoyed our early evening experience at Ivy Kensington Brasserie, we did not enjoy the Shepherds Pie which for some reason was made with large pieces of stewing steak, not the traditional lamb mince!!! We were in too much of a rush, to complain and ask for a replacement dish, but wish we had done so on reflection.
My husband and I went to the Ivy Kensington Brasserie for an early pre-show dinner. Our first time at an Ivy Brasserie. We really enjoyed the experience - great food and good service. Would highly recommend.
We had breakfast last Friday. I found the front of house unfriendly & unhelpful, didn’t offer to take our coats or show us where they could be hung up. The service was extremely slow despite the restaurant being half empty. The toast arrived at the end of my breakfast and I had to flag down a waiter 3 times to remind them. The coffee was luke warm.
Not a fantastic start to my day.
Absolutely wonderful way to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Something really special.
The receptionist was not very pleasant ! When we booked we asked for window table ! She said is reserved ! After 1.30 min left the two tables next to window was still empty ! Need more friendly person at the reception no matter how busy you are !
Very pressurising service and when they discovered we shall not get desert and coffee they brought the bill and asked us to pay and go. Very unhappy with that. It is not supposed to be a fast food and rent the space
The ambiance and seating is excellent. The service is very good. The food needs to be better. it is lacking good taste although it is well presented, yet, the taste is not good. something should be done to it.
very welcoming and attentive .plenty of staff so excellent service . no rush ,paced just right . the food was delicious we all cleared our plates . could not have been better .
The usual high standard of an Ivy Collection restaurant. However it would be nice if there could be some changes to the menu as it has been the same for many years.
Very disappointed with the service, emailed a few weeks ago regarding likes and dislikes for afternoon tea and still couldn't get this right. Won't be going back in a hurry
We visited the Dior exhibition for my husbands birthday, and booked the Ivy Brasserie on a friends advise, as it was easily walkable from the V&A....It was wonderful...
We had a booth table, which was perfect, as the main dining room was more noisy, and had several groups with children on the Sunday afternoon, so we were delighted with the table location...Following a drink at the delightful bar, we sat down and had a lovely meal, the service was great and the quality of food impeccable.
It is a day we will talk about for yers to come...I will totally recommend the Ivy Brasserie to all my friends !!!
Service was good, food not so much.
Eggs were cold and the whole plate of food just seemed like it had been sitting ready for a while, all a bit cold and just ok.
Wouldn’t be rushing back.
Always the very attentive staff. Excellent attention to the customer. Cannot recommend more.
There was a couple beside us. The man sneezed five times on to my food. He didn’t have a handkerchief. I couldn’t eat my meal. The tables were too tightly packed together on the left hand side when you walk in, that there was no way of avoiding his germs. The couple was totally oblivious. It was disgusting. We told the lady when they left but I didn’t want to create a scene. But there needs to be more space between tables. Too packed together.
Had a lovely evening meal after the theatre.
No complaints other than gratuity added to bill.
Buzzy atmosphere- and tasty food!
House wine was good and not extortionate!
Truffle arrincini is our favourite thing!
Excellent service. Perfect setting. Delicious food. Especially good for vegetarians too.
Fabulous in every way
I love this restaurant but on this occasion the service was below their normally excellent level. I think it was actually the bar service rather than our waiter. We waited a long time for drinks and had to reorder a couple of times as they didn't appear at all. When they did they had to be returned as they weren't right. I hope to return as the food is always excellent and the waiters/waitresses normally charming and attentive. I can only think we hit a very busy time and the bar was struggling.
Lovely decoration and delicious food. I recommend the miso black cod. it smelled a bit fishy at the entrance, but for the rest it was absolutely lovely.
We normally go to the Ivy in Cobham. First of all we were seated at the back near the kitchen, so was a bit noisier. The service was pretty slow in terms of the drinks. Food came but I had asked for substitute for chips (beans) and that was not done, so ate steak for a while just on its own (bland and boring!). Soup was delicious and house white reasonable, if pricey. Usually drink New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc but at over £35 a bottle, felt that was way too expensive.
