   I requested a reservation for four of us with only one day before we needed it. They accommodated us and provided the same great service as usual. The food was to die for and was most appropriate for our 50th anniversary. The menu is always changing and the food presentation always wonderful. Make sure you visit the Inn. Great food, great service, and no apologies.

    We thoroughly enjoyed spending our wedding anniversary dinner at Ivy Inn. The food and service are really nice, and the ambiance is lovely. Both the grilled trout and lamb entrees were amazing. We will definitely return for another occasion!

    The Ivy Inn never disappoints! We had a wonderful pre-Mothers Day dinner on a Saturday evening. The food was delicious, excellent choices and flavors. The staff is always considerate and professional...can't say enough about this special place. It's' easy to see why it is rated as #1 in Charlottesville.

    What a delicious dinner and fabulous service. The intimacy of the dining room and its feel of serenity made for a relaxing evening. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to fully respond to inquiries about menu items. The birthday name printed on the menu and dessert made for a lovely birthday dinner.

    The Ivy Inn went out of its way to make my husband’s 80th birthday special. Our server, Brianna, was so cheerfully welcoming and the menu was extensive. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere stately and romantic. We will definitely make this our dining spot whenever we visit Charlottesville.

    I made the reservation to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We were seated in an upstairs room with one other couple, even though there were open tables in the main dining room downstairs. It was eerily quiet. The shrimp and grits appetizer and the beet salad were delicious. The scallop and the salmon entrees were ok but certainly not memorable. When we arrived I reminded the hostess about my friend’s birthday and asked if they would bring us a dessert with a candle after we finished dinner. She assured me they would. They didn’t. All in all a cozy venue with great promise. Close but no cigar

    We loved everything about The Ivy. The food was unique, having a hint of Greek/Mediterranean flare, and delicious. The chef was able to accommodate allergy and food preference requests. Our server, Ricky, is a pro, offering the right amount of attention and checking in, without interrupting our conversation. And don’t miss the sticky toffee dessert confection.     I planned an anniversary dinner here for my girlfriend & I. It was an unbelievable night out. The service was incredible, and the restaurant did an excellent job of making our special night just that much better. Also, I felt the portion sizes were very satisfactory given the quality of the food. I’ll be coming back & I’d recommend this place to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion.

    We often come to the Ivy Inn for a special night celebrating a family event. The chicken entree last night was too salty for my taste, and we are concerned that prices are reaching for the stratosphere. That said, it's still our favorite place in Charlottesville.

    The folks here were amazing! My significant other and I came in for our two-year anniversary celebration. When we walked in, we were greeted with a “happy anniversary” from the hostess and promptly seated. The server said the same when she came to the table and gave us a champagne toast along with menus that had “happy anniversary” on them. The food was very tasty and our drinks were too. They even gave us a little bonus treat: a couple of cookies on a plate that had “happy anniversary” written in chocolate! This was our first time here and we were thoroughly impressed. We look forward to returning!
